Mission Statement

i|Dance exists to provide an artistic outlet for dancers in a fun and innovative environment.

We aim to provide high quality tuition at competitive prices, enthusiastic and available teaching staff and new, interesting choreography.

i|Dance also aims to provide a quality performing dance company for the city of Ipswich which is available to perform, free of charge, at festivals and other events.

Our Philosophy

We believe that dance students learn most when set free from the restraints of a particular style or syllabus. i|Dance has built a flexible approach to the development of technique and a more varied curriculum, allowing students to experience dance in all it's forms.

We also believe that the traditional system of syllabus exams is not the most effective way of judging a students' progress. Who better to assess a students' growth but their teachers who instruct them all year long? With that in mind, i|Dance does not enter students in any external exam system, instead assessing them in report cards throughout the year.

i|Dance is about dancing the way you want and offering new, ground-breaking choreography to challenge and interest you. Who wants to do the same old boring routines year after year? At i|Dance we guarantee that every year will bring new routines, fresh music and innovative ideas.
