Info on Ico

Ico is a videogame for the Sony PlayStation 2 Computer Entertainment System. It is my favorite videogame ever. Period. Buy it. Now. No, seriously, get out of you chair right now, you lazy little tweeb, and drive, or if you have to, run, to the nearest videogame outlet store and BUY IT!

Ico did not sell very well, but that doesn't mean it is a bad game, it just has an outlandish premise. (Another great example of such is 'Mister Mosquito', oh yeah, you should buy that too.) As an aftereffect of the bad sales of Ico, you will be very hard-pressed to find a copy of this great game, but don't give up; it should only cost $10. If you can, buy the PAL version. You see, games come in NTSC or PAL versions. You should be able to tell by looking at the bottom of the videogame case's 'binding'. It will say NTSC or PAL in little black letters. The PAL version has easter eggs after playing through the game once. You should be able to find these features at the sites listed in my 'links' page.

Ico is one of the most original games ever created, so it won't be like any other game you have ever played. It is completely a breath of fresh air for gamers who are tired of sequels and cliche-filled games. It is an action-adventure puzzle-solving game that has a great storyline that is very interesting and moving.

Also, check out the many Ico-related sites on my 'links' page. I only listed the good ones.

Within a world of enchantment and wonder, evil resides in an ancient castle. Ico, a young boy with horns, has been expelled from his village and left within this isolated fortress. Embarking on a perilous quest to save himself as well as a beautiful, Ico must find a way to escape. However, escaping will be no easy task. Every towering staircase and stone block is a piece of a puzzle. Every open window, dangling chain, and razor thin escape illuminates another mystery.

Solve the puzzles or join the tormented souls forever.

'You Were There' Lyrics

The ending theme to Ico should be playing in the background right now, but it actually has words in the full version. The song is called 'You Were There' and it's sung by Stephen Geherty. Click Here for the lyrics.
