Welcome to the Homepage of the Iceni Living History Tribe!
We are a Reenactment group that studies the history and culture of the tribes of Iron-Age
Britain. We are based at the Iron-Age site of Lafe, Arkansas. Our members are situated in
Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. On this site you will find information on how
to do living history as a person living in the times of the second Roman invasion of Briton,
roughly A.D.43 to A.D.100. The Iceni tribe is best known for Queen Boudica who
in A.D.60 rebelled against Roman rule for ruthless acts against her and her people.
We are a family oriented Group and welcome Men, Women and Children to join us. We are very serious about what we do and seek skills amongst our members and want to nurture hidden skills that they might posess. We are a living history group and expect our members to make the necessary kit required by us. Our standards are not high, but we do try to make sure that we are as correct as possible.
Most Iron-Age Briton Warriors only possessed a spear and shield. So it is not a requirement
for you to be fully dressed out in armor and helmet! To get started all you need is your
clothes, a spear, and a shield. As you move up in the rank stratus, you can up-grade your
weapons. The roles of women were very much the same as men.
