The Interval has ended, and the begining of the sixteenth pass is upon Pern's riders. There are very few who care to remember stories of the menace known as Thread, but those who do have warned the youth of its dangers.

But young people have a tendency to make their own opinions; many riders born during the Interval look forward to seeing Thread fall from the sky. They want danger to fight against.

In their eagerness, however, they have overlooked the dangers in their own homes.

We are a Round-Robin and Full Post styled Weyr. The rating is PG-15. Icefire is set in the very begining of an Alternate Sixteenth Pass. AIVAS has never been found, and will never be found because it does not exist. No mention of AIVAS. Ever. Because I don't like the thing. So there.
