Exit Link's house, go down the ladder, and talk to the girl named Saria. Facing away from the ladder, follow the left wall around and up the ramp to a meadow with a series of fences. Follow the path through the fences to a small tunnel. Enter the tunnel and crawl through it. Follow the passageway, avoiding the rolling boulder, to reach a large treasure chest. Open it to receive the Kokiri Sword. Return to the village, enter the Shop, and purchase the Deku Shield for 40 Rupees.
Facing away from Link's house, go forward to the dirt path and turn right. Go forward and cross the water to reach a large tunnel entrance. After talking Mido, follow the one-way path to reach the Great Deku Tree. Watch the cinema sequence, then enter the opening to the Deku Tree.
After you enter the Deku Tree, face away from the large doorway and go straight forward across the web to reach a wall with vines on it. Climb the vines to the top to reach a ledge. Follow the ledge to the door at the top and enter it. Defeat the Deku Scrub and speak to it to open the door. Enter the door, go to the opposite side of the room, and open the big treasure chest to receive the Fairy's Slingshot.
After you get the Fairy's Slingshot, use it to shoot the ladder down and exit the room. Go through the next door, turn right and follow the ledge to a big treasure chest. Climb to the top of the vines behind the big treasure chest, then go left and drop onto the ledge. Continue left to the first Big Skulltula blocking an opening in the web fence, destroy it, then drop through the opening to land in the center of the giant floor web. The web will break and Link will land on B1.
After breaking the giant web and landing on B1, climb onto the ledge with the single unlit brazier and step on the nearby switch to light it. Touch a Deku Stick to the brazier to set it on fire, then quickly cross the shallow water and use the flame to destroy the spider web blocking the door. Enter the door and use the Slingshot to hit the eye switch to open the next door. Enter the door to find a room with a moving spiked log. Drop into the water, then dive down and touch the underwater switch to temporarily lower the water. Quickly get back on land near the entrance, jump onto the moving platform and ride it to reach other side of the room.
Grab the large block and pull it to the other end of the groove in the ground, then climb on it to reach the ledge. Enter the door and use a Deku Stick to light the two unlit braziers in this room to unlock the next door. Enter the door and use a burning Deku Stick to burn the web on the opposite side of the room from the brazier.
Enter the small tunnel, and crawl through it to reach a ledge. Grab the large block, and push it into the water. Drop down and light a Deku Stick with the short brazier, then climb back onto block to reach the ledge. Swing the burning stick at the web on the ground to destroy the web and fall down to floor B2 where you'll find three Deku Scrubs.
Stun the Deku Scrubs in the following order (facing the door), from left to right: 2, 3, 1. Speak to the far-left Scrub to receive a clue and open the door.
After defeating the Deku Scrubs, enter the next room and look at the ceiling to begin the battle with the Boss, Gohma. Wait for the Gohma to fall on the ground, then Z-Target it. Wait for it's only eye to turn red, then shoot it with the Sling Shot to stun it. When it's stunned, hit it as fast as possible with the Kokiri Sword. The Gohma will go back up to the ceiling and drop two or three regular Gohmas. Destroy these Gohmas with any weapon.
When the big Gohma goes back onto the ground, repeat the attack: stun it then use the Kokiri Sword to damage it. Repeat this process until it's destroyed. There are bushes along the edge of the room to refill Link's life or to get more Deku Seeds for the Slingshot. After defeating Gohma, step into the blue light to exit the dungeon and receive the first Spiritual Stone, Kokiri's Emerald.
After receiving the Kokiri's Emerald, Link will automatically return to Kokiri Forest. Go to the other side of the village and enter the log tunnel. After receiving the Fairy's Ocarina from Saria, follow the passage to Hyrule Field. Follow the dirt path and cross the drawbridge to enter the Market. Go to the center of the Market and talk to Malon.
Continue to the opposite side of the Market to reach the path towards the castle. Walk along the pathway, following the right wall, and climb the vines to a ledge. Go along the ledge and across the stone arch to get caught by a guard who throws Link outside the gate. Walk away from the gate to find Malon next to the vines. Talk to her to receive the Weird Egg.
After you get the Weird Egg, climb back up the vines, and climb down the ladder in the stone wall. Exit the room, follow the road, and climb the left bank before reaching the next pair of guards. Walk toward the flowers and cross the field to a single guard at the steps of the castle. Climb the small, uneven rock wall to the left of the guard, cross the ledge, and drop onto the path that surrounds the castle. Drop into the moat, go right and get out of water at the corner.
Turn left, and walk to the sleeping man, Talon. If the time has changed from night to day, the Weird Egg will now be a Rooster. Use the Rooster to wake Talon and talk to him until he leaves. Grab and move each of the ox-head boxes into the moat to make a stack. Climb onto the boxes and go forward quickly to make Link automatically jump across the water to a ledge on the other side. Enter the small opening to appear in the Castle Courtyard.
After entering the Castle Courtyard, follow the path, hiding behind the shrubs to avoid the wandering guards, until you find Princess Zelda. After speaking with Zelda, and saying yes to all of her questions, she will give you Zelda's Letter. As you exit, Zelda's guardian, Impa, will teach you how to play Zelda's Lullaby on the Ocarina.
After learning Zelda's Lullaby, you will automatically exit the castle. Return to Kokiri Forest. As you enter the forest, immediately turn left, and climb onto the nearby ledge. Go forward to the wall, turn right and continue forward and climb the wall with vines on it. Follow the sloping path to the entrance to the Lost Woods. Enter the woods and enter the right tunnel, then the left, right, left, straight ahead, left, then the right tunnel to reach the Sacred Meadow. Defeat the Wolfos to open the fence, then work your way through the one-way hedge maze to the opposite side and climb the two sets of steps to reach Saria. Speak with Saria to learn how to play Saria's Song on the Ocarina.
After learning the first two songs for the Ocarina, return to Hyrule Field. Cross the bridge to the right of Hyrule Castle's drawbridge and climb the stairs in the cliff to appear in Kakariko Village. From the entrance of the Village, follow the left wall and go up the steps. Go to the right and up the next set of steps and show the soldier Zelda's Letter to open the gate to Death Mountain Trail.
Follow the sloping path, past the red windsock and through the large doorway to enter Goron City. Drop to the very bottom of the town and stand in front of the doorway with the gray rug. Play Zelda's Lullaby to open the door and enter it to locate the Goron King, Darunia. After speaking with him, use the Ocarina and play Saria's Song. Darunia will give Link Goron's Bracelet.
After getting the Goron's Bracelet, exit Goron City. Face away from the entrance to the city and follow the right-hand wall to find a Goron next to a Bomb Flower. Pick up the Bomb, take a few steps away from the cliff, then quickly go toward the cliff to throw the Bomb over the fence. Repeat this until you're able to destroy the large boulder blocking the entrance the cavern. Facing away from the Goron, go forward to reach a T-intersection. Go to the right, away from Goron City, and continue down the pathway and enter the large opening to reach Dodongo's Cavern
From the Cavern entrance, pick up a Bomb and destroy the large, stone door. Enter the door and continue forward to the end of the wooden bridge. At the end of the bridge, jump across the moving stone pillar to reach the central platform. Turn right and cross the next moving pillar, pick a Bomb Flower and use it to destroy the right-hand stone door. Enter the doorway and follow the path up the step to two statues and a blue floor switch.
Grab and move one of the statues onto the blue switch to open the door. Go through two doors and defeat the two Lizalfos to unlock the next door and then enter it. Follow the one-way path to appear in a blue cavern with several Dodongos. Light a Deku Stick at the nearby brazier, and quickly light the three unlit braziers to unlock the door. Follow the hallway, and step onto the switch to unlock the door on the opposite side of the room.
Cross the room, enter the doorway you unlocked and continue forward to a pillar surrounded by Bomb Flowers. Go to the only other door in the room, pick up a Bomb next to the door and place the bomb in the gap in the ring of bombs. If placed correctly, the bombs around the wall will explode in succession, creating a large set of stairs.
From where you created the staircase, go up the stairs and enter the door at the top of the room. Move the statue that's blocking the ladder on the pillar in the center of the room, and climb the ladder. Step on the floor switch to unlock the doors, then enter the door between the two Bomb Flowers. Cross the wooden bridge and enter the next room. Work your way to the opposite side of the room while avoiding the razors that move back and forth. Grab the gray rock below the ladder, pull it out and get on top of it to reach the ladder.
After climbing the ladder, turn around and go forward quickly to land on the pillar with a treasure chest and Bomb Flower. Pick up the Bomb and throw it at the large stone door above the ladder to create an opening. Enter the opening you created and go forward to reach a single pillar of fire. Use the Slingshot to hit the eye switch above the door on the opposite side of the room to temporarily put out the fire. Quickly cross to the other doorway and follow the hallway to a large doorway.
Enter the door and defeat the two Lizalfos to remove the bars from the next door. Enter the door and go forward to reach two pillars of fire. Use the Slingshot to hit the eye switch above the door on the opposite side of the room, and jump to the first pedestal. Turn left and use the Slingshot to hit the eye switch in the alcove. Continue across the room and follow the short hallway to the next room. Move forward to automatically jump over the small gap, then turn right to find a big treasure chest. Open it to receive the Bomb Bag.
After getting the Bomb Bag, enter the doorway next to the big treasure chest and step on the floor switch. Enter the large cavern, go to the right and walk onto the wooden bridge. Drop a Bomb into each of the holes in the bridge, then light both eyes of the large skeleton head to open its mouth. Drop down and enter the door in the mouth. Climb up to the opening on the right and follow the one-way hallway into the next room.
Drop down and follow the passageway to some blocks. Climb the blocks to reach the top of the stone wall, then walk along the top of the stone wall, drop down, and enter the hallway. Follow it to reach a single, brown block. Grab and push the block into the lower part of the room, then move it into the square hole in the middle of the room, removing the bars from the large door. Enter the door and place a Bomb on the dark section of floor to create an opening. Drop down the hole to reach the Boss, King Dodongo.
First, throw a Bomb into King Dodongo's mouth to stun it. When it's stunned, strike it repeatedly with the Kokiri Sword to damage it. When the Boss rolls into a ball, run to the far corner of the room to avoid it. When it unrolls, stun it and keep striking until King Dodongo is defeated. After defeating the boss, enter the blue light in center of room to be teleported out of Dodongo's Cavern and receive the Spiritual Stone of Fire: Goron's Ruby.
After receiving the Goron's Ruby as a child, go up the path away from the Cavern entrance to the first corner. Go up the slope around the corner to some boulders. Use Bombs to destroy the boulders and continue up to reach a ledge (to destroy the boulder on the other side of the pit, time your throw so that the Bomb explodes next to the boulder. Follow the path to reach an area where flaming rocks fall from the sky. Avoid them as best as possible to reach a tall cliff. Climb up the cliff to the very top and use a Bomb on the far wall to create an opening. Enter the new opening to locate a Great Fairy's Fountain. Stand on The Triforce symbol and play Zelda's Lullaby to receive the Spin Attack magic.
Exit from Kakariko Village to appear in Hyrule Field. Go down the steps, turn left and follow the wall to reach a river. Go into the river and stay along the left wall to appear in Zora's River. After speaking with the owl, go forward to the first bend in the river, and jump across where the grass is missing. At the top of the slope, turn left and cross the river, then continue forward up a slope. Turn left at the top of the slope and go up the ramp over the river. After going over the river, walk forward to the wall and turn right. Follow the wall to a ledge, then drop off the ledge and walk up the river, keeping the river to Link's right. Go up the small ledge, turn right, cross the river and go up another small ledge. Walk forward, turn left and cross the river again. Go up the slope and continue to the end of the pathway. Drop down to the pathway below and follow it up to get near the waterfall. Stand on the gray square grating on the ground and use the Ocarina to play Zelda's Lullaby to temporarily reveal an opening in the waterfall.
Quickly go toward the waterfall to jump across to the new opening to enter Zora's Domain. Follow the right wall and go up the slope to the top to reach King Zora. Facing King Zora, go left into the tunnel and talk to the Zora at the edge to play the Diving Game. Collect the Rupees that the Zora throws into the water in 50 seconds or less, then return to the Zora at the Diving Game to receive the Silver Scale.
After receiving the Silver Scale, drop down the waterfall and swim away from it to reach deep water. Facing the tunnel, Dive into the water and enter the underwater opening to arrive at Lake Hylia. Face away from the underwater tunnel that leads to Zora's Domain and swim away from it to the second pillar sticking out of the water. Dive down to collect the Empty Bottle, which has a letter inside of it.
After finding the Bottle, return to Zora's Domain and use the Bottle on the pedestal in front of King Zora. He will take the Bottle and move aside, revealing the entrance to Zora's Fountain. Follow the ramp out of King Zora's room and down to the pond. Stand in the shallow water next to the fish swimming around and use the Bottle to catch a fish. Return to King Zora's room and follow the passage behind him to reach Zora's Fountain. Go to the right and up the steps to the whale, Lord Jabu-Jabu. Walk up to Jabu-Jabu's mouth and use the Bottle with the fish to feed Lord Jabu-Jabu. Link will get sucked into Lord Jabu-Jabu's Belly.
From Jabu-Jabu's mouth, go forward and Z-Target the white switch on the ceiling and hit it with the Slingshot to unlock the door. Enter the door, turn left and follow the left wall to the next door and enter it. Speak to Princess Ruto, and she will fall through a hole in the floor. Drop down through the same hole she falls into and speak with her twice. After she sits, pick her up and enter the nearest door. Follow the hallway and enter the next door to reach a room with water. Drop into the water and throw Ruto onto the ledge on the other side, then step on the floor switch to raise the water. Climb onto the ledge with Ruto, pick her up, and enter the next door. Put Ruto down and use the Slingshot to hit the white switch on the ceiling to open the next door, then pick up Ruto and enter the door. Ride the floating rock to the top and jump to the ledge. Enter the door on the right, walk to the opposite door from where you entered, and enter it. Walk along the right wall and step on the floor switch to open the door next to it. Enter the door, defeat the four Stingers, and open the big treasure chest to get the Boomerang.
After getting the Boomerang, exit the room and go forward without taking any side paths to reach another floor switch. Set Ruto on the switch and enter the door. Z-Target the Parasitic Tentacle and use the Boomerang to destroy it. Exit the room and pick up Princess Ruto. Go forward, take the third left into the blue hallway, and enter the door to destroy the second Parasitic Tentacle. Exit the room, take the first right and then take the first right again.
Destroy the third Parasitic Tentacle, exit the room, then go forward and enter the door to reappear in the room that Princess Ruto was first found in. Face away from the door Link and Ruto entered, and walk along the right wall. Fall through the second hole in the floor, then follow the hallway and enter the door. Throw Ruto up onto the platform with the Spiritual Stone and she'll automatically pick it up. When she's done speaking, walk toward her to begin a battle with Big Octo.
Wait in one spot until Big Octo gets close and then stun it with the Boomerang. After it's stunned, it will either turn around or continue to rush at Link. Continue stunning Big Octo until it turns around. When it turns around, stun it again and hit the green spot on its back with the Sword. Repeat this until he's defeated.
After defeating Big Octo, climb onto the platform in the middle of the room and it will rise. At the top, enter the door and use the Boomerang to stun the slimy red platforms in the next room. When the platforms are stunned, jump onto them and use them to reach and enter the next door. Quickly walk to the end of the platform to jump to the next platform, which will automatically lower to the second room of the dungeon.
Grab one of the boxes nearby, then follow the ledge to the left and drop the box on the floor switch to unlock the door. Enter the door, and climb the vines to reach the platform in the center of the room. Z-Target the white switch on the ceiling and use the Boomerang to hit the switch to unlock the other door. Go through the door to reach the Boss, Barinade.
Z-Target the tentacles hanging from the ceiling and use the Boomerang to destroy all three. Once they're destroyed, use the Boomerang to stun the main body of the Boss. You'll know it's stunned when it turns blue. Z-Target again and use the Boomerang to destroy all of the large jellyfish that surround the blob. Once all the jellyfish are destroyed, use the Boomerang to stun the body, then attack with the Sword to damage it. Repeat stunning and damaging the Barinade until it is destroyed. Enter the blue light to exit Jabu-Jabu's Belly and receive the third Spiritual Stone, Zora's Sapphire.
After getting the third Spiritual Stone, return to Hyrule Castle. Approaching the drawbridge will start an automatic sequence. When the sequence ends, dive into the water to get the Ocarina of Time. At this point, another sequence begins and Link will learn the Song of Time. Enter the Hyrule Castle, go into the Market and walk up the steps next to the Happy Mask Shop. Go to the left and enter the Temple of Time. Walk to the far end of the temple, stand on the red carpet next to the altar and play the Song of Time. Enter the new opening in the back wall, walk onto the platform in the middle of the room and Grab the Master Sword. After an automatic sequence, Link will be given the Light Medallion and become an adult.
