My philosophy
I
believe that life is a healing journey. Several friends and clients who
have had traumatic stress tell me that I am one of the few people that
they can talk to. I refrain from judging, and work to be the agent of
healing with you. I also love to help bring forgiveness and release of
the past, so you can move on freely toward the person that you want to
become.
I
connect with my client, and listen with new ears to their concerns, so
that I can detect patterns in their experiences. Then I can design
specific hypnosis experiences for my client to clear the unconscious
thoughts and feelings that have haunted them, or seem to drive them to
unhealthy habits.
What happens in a session?
We
talk, and I explain hypnosis and what to expect in the session in
detail. We decide on an intention that forwards your healing goal, and
I create a deeply relaxing hypnotic experience for you to assist you in
meeting that goal.
What I like to focus on.
Specific
goals, behaviors that you want to change. I can often find, in talking
to you, what concepts or beliefs that you have may not be working for
you any longer, and in hypnosis I know how to give you new healthier
beliefs, so your habits change automatically. Many beliefs we hold are
self imposed limitations learned in times of stress.
Who I am, my journey
I
have always been a healer of sorts, from the days of my grandparents
refilling the Bactine* bottle with water so I could cure everyone’s
boo-boos. My dad was an amateur hypnotist, and I have always wanted to
know how things worked. My curiosity put those qualities together, and
I became fascinated with the power of the subconscious mind, which is a
driving force of habit and preference in life.
