Difficulty: Hard

You will need: Adobe ImageReady

First of all, you need to have your pictures that you are going to animate completed. Once you are done making thoes, can save by going < File< Save As and save it as GIF

I have choosen the two images below as a sample.

+ =

The third one is going to be the one that it should look like in the end.

First, open your animator (Adobe ImageReady) Then, go < File < Open, and find the image you saved to. Do this for as many images you have for your animation.

Next, make sure you have your animation palette out. If you don't go to < Windows < Animation. Now that you have your animation palette out, click on the image you want your animation to first start with. In this case it would be the cybunny with the eyes open, because I want my cybunny's animation to first start with the eye's open. With me so far?

Then, you're going to look at your animation tablet and find a little arrow on the right hand side.

Once you've found the arrow, click on it and press "New Frame". Make sure you also have "New layers visble in all State/Frames," and "Create Layer for each new frame."

So, now you have something that looks like this:

Notice, there is a blue highlight under the second frame. It should look like that, and stay like that. You should also probably notice that the 2 frames look the same. That's because they are. Now, we want the second frame to have the cybunny with the eyes closed not opened. Which leads us to the next step...

Now, this is the trickiest step, so pay CLOSE attention. It's okay if you don't understand this at first.

Okay, so make sure you have your second frame highlighted (like the example shown above) Next, you need to look at your LayerPalette. It should look like this:

Notice the "Layer 2" Layer doesn't have an image? It's not suppose to. Open your second image (the cybunny with the eyes shut) and copy it. MAKE SURE YOU'RE FRAME IS STILL HIGHLIGHTED ON THE SECOND FRAME. Paste the image. Now it should look like this:

^^^How the Layer Palette is suppose to look^^^

^^^How the animation paelette is suppose to look^^^

Whoo you're almost done! All you have to do is adjust the timing, for a blinkie neopet I suggest having the first frame as 1 second and the second as 0.2 seconds.

Then, on the left hand screen of the palette it should say once, scroll down and click "Forever"

Then click the arrow button() to play your animation!

To save as GIF, go < File < Save Optimized as...

...And volia! You're done! Congrats! You just learned how to use your ImageReady animator! If you encounter any problems, please contact Christina crgee12@gmail.com, or if you'd like to send a feedback contact Christina as well. I hoped this tutorial helped!
