Ohio gozaimasu! (Morning!)
 
Just dropping in to say hi!  Am currently in Sapporo, Japan...half-way through my 10 date concert tour!  All is going well... Shows are a lot of fun, as well as the signings after when I get to meet all my lovely supporters!  My album 'Hayley Sings Japanese Songs' debuted at no.12 in the national album charts and the single, 'Amazing Grace' (a duet with the late Minako Honda) debuted at no.1!  Everyone is really thrilled with this result...  I put a lot of heart and soul into this album -having the opportunity to work on the English lyrics for the songs really added to the whole experience and has brought me really close to this project.  I have to say, I am quite proud of the finished product...  I also recorded a song in English AS WELL AS Japanese called 'Shiroi Iro Wa Koibito No Iro' (White Is The Colour Of Lovers) which was fun.  Interestingly enough, I find the Japanese vowel sounds rather similar to the Maori vowel sounds so I think this helped me a bit -although I'm still getting my head around the language!  One step at a time...  
 
Well, better go and pack my bags... They somehow manage to increase in weight and size every day even though I have been resisting the shops -honest!!
