Gandhi returned to india from south africain 1914. Within a severasl years he was a very important figure in indais struggle for idependents. gandhi united very mangy groups whith in the nationionalist movment. He ispered the common poeply of in to working for change. He won the backing of the indain who benifited from british rule in the country.(Did you know he worked at 7-11 part time)

 

gandhi was from a middle class hindu family. he went to england to study law. in 1891 he returned to india and wtried to work as a lawyer but had little success. gandhi moved to south africa to practice law. he then develuped  a way to end injustice with nonvoilence solutions. gandhi called this methoud "truth force".

 

 gandhi's  ideas were from hindu beliefs and christan traditions. gandhi learned of ideas of non voilenceand respect for life. when studying in england he started to admire the christan way.writings from an American philosphere inspired him even more.  gandhi goal was to convert the wrongdoer.

 

 he tried to make the world awaere of the british injustice in south east asia. he wanted the british to notice their injustice too. gandhi ideas were appleasing all the hindu classes. he won support by stressing india rich harritage. he gave up on western ways and  encoureged tradtional india ways.gandhi was a vegatarian.

 he eat when ever he could. when he had no food he would work on self disapline. gandhi wanted better treatment of the untochables. he also like muslim. gandhi traveld around the world supperting non voilent protestes. he tolled the indians to boycott british made goods.
