Tournament Rules

To the best of our ability, we are adhering to USSSA Baseball Playing Rules: http://www.usssa.com/usssa/usssa-general/2006BBBylaws.pdf  The following rules apply to all age groups.  Age group specific rules are found  at the bottom of this page.
  1. Three game guarantee -- weather permitting -- see tournament weather policy below.
  2. Final Game-play for Championship: Three round robin games will determine seeding. Sunday afternoon the #1 from each pool will meet in the championship (or top 2 teams if one pool).
  3. Monday is a weather make-up day to be used as necessary.
  4. Games will be 6 innings (extra innings without special rules.) The mercy rule will exist with 10 runs after 4 innings and 15 runs after three innings.
  5. No inning shall start after 1 hour 50 minutes.  Ties are allowed in Pool Play.
  6. Four innings constitutes an official game.
  7. Pre-game infield may be allowed if time permits.
  8. Only roster coaches and players allowed in the dugout.
  9. NO metal spikes allowed.
  10. Senior league bats (big barrel) and below are allowed.
  11. Protests during the game: All protests shall be made to the home plate umpire before the next pitch is thrown. The protest will be reviewed immediately. Judgment calls shall not be protested.
  12. Home and Visitor shall be determined by a pre-game coin toss by the umpire or the tournament director.
  13. Home team is responsible as the official scorekeeper. At the completion of the game, the two scorekeepers should review and come to agreement on the final score and name of
pitchers and number of innings pitched. The home team then must report the scores to the official score table. Each team is responsible to report on the pitching form provided, the names of their pitcher and the innings pitched. Throwing one pitch in an inning constitutes an inning pitched. See pitching rules below.
  14. Any individual who is deemed to be acting in a un-sportsman-like manner will be ejected from the game and from the entire tournament.
  15. Pitching
See Age Specific Guidelines Below. Each team is responsible for filling out the game summary sheet and reporting score, pitchers and innings pitched. One pitch constitutes an inning. A second trip to the mound in an inning will necessitate the removal of the pitcher.
