Evil released

eveything you need to know about Resident Evil

resident evil 5

Resident Evil 5 was known only to the public as "in development" even since Resident Evil 4's debut, but recently, a brand new teaser trailer of the game surfaced during Sony's annual Playstation Meeting.

The existence of this game was first made public through popular Japanese gaming magazine, Famitsu, where it was featured with some brand new screenshots and information. You can check out the scans of the Famitsu article here and here.

After a while, the trailer from which all of these screenshots were taken finally surfaced as well, which you can check out on any major gaming site, including right on IGN.com. Nothing has yet been officially announced about the game, but there has been a lot of speculation so far.

The main character is primarily rumored to be Chris Redfield. The game's producer, Jun Takeuchi, has dropped us a hint on the character's identity by revealing that members of the original game's development team are working on this one, which could only mean that Chris will be the star of this game.

Resident Evil 5 is confirmed to be appearing on both the Playstation 3 and X-Box 360, but no other details have yet been announced. Capcom did, however, release 3 official high-resolution screenshots of the game, which you can find on right below this. This page will be updated as more information becomes available.
