| Zombie | |||||||
| |||||||
| While almost every weapon (with the exception of the Knife) is good against a Zombie, the Handgun is the ideal weapon to use. It will down a Zombie in just 3-5 shots, or a single shot if you aim up with the Shotgun when one is in close range. A Zombie will not only attack while they are standing, but even while they are on the ground. They may move slowly, but can deal a decent amount of damage, and are usually found in larger numbers. Do not take them lightly. | |||||||
| Cerberus | |||||||
| |||||||
| Like the Zombie, a Cerberus can easily be killed using a Handgun, or any other weapon except the knife. After firing at it a few times, it will fall on the ground, but it will still get back up unless you shoot it a few more times. Cerberuses are very agile in running, jumping, and attacking, so they can deal damage quickly. Shooting it while it is in mid-jump will cause more damage to it. | |||||||
| Crow | |||||||
| |||||||
| Crows can easily be taken out with the Handgun, or any other weapon that isn't slow, although they can be quite hard to hit using any weapon. Crows can deal a large amount of damage when they attack in groups, which they usually do. To be safe, it's best to run past Crows as quickly as possible when you encounter them. | |||||||
| Webspinner | |||||||
| |||||||
| You'll mainly encounter Webspinners in narrow places, attacking in groups of 2 or more. Firing the Shotgun or Handgun at them will not be enough to take them out, but a Grenade Launcher and anything more powerful will do the trick. Webspinners can deal a lot of damage to you or even poison you, so they should be dealt with quick enough to avoid taking much damage. | |||||||
| Licker | |||||||
| |||||||
| Using a Handgun against a Licker is a bad idea, but it is a good backup for when you do not have ammo for the Shotgun, as long as you keep your distance. They attack using either their very long tongue or their claws, which don't do too much damage. A Licker can kill you instantly by wrapping it's tongue around your neck and pulling. | |||||||
| Hunter MA-125R | |||||||
| |||||||
| This B.O.W. is an advanced prototype of the MA-121 Hunter. While these Hunters are faster and deadlier than their predecessors, they still retain many of their classic attributes. New features on this prototype include longer claws and spines mounted on their backs. Deal with them the same as you would any other Hunter. | |||||||
| Hunter Gamma | |||||||
| |||||||
| A Hunter Gamma is another type of variation of the Hunter. There isn't too much difference between this variation and the others except for the large difference in appearance, as well as the fact that Hunter Gammas are aquatic, while the others are not. Deal with them the same way as you would any other Hunter. | |||||||
| G-Larva | |||||||
| |||||||
| While fighting the G-Imago boss, it will occasionally drop it's larva to attack you. Upon reaching you, a G-Larva will jump on you and start to suck your blood. After a short amount of time, your character will automatically throw it off on to the ground. A G-Larva can be killed in one hit with pretty much any weapon, though using something stronger than the Handgun is a waste of ammo. | |||||||
| Giant Moth | |||||||
| |||||||
| A Giant Moth only appears once in the game. When going up against it, the best idea is to keep runmomg to avoid taking too much damage. When you get a clear shot, blasts from the Shotgun are the most effective things to use. | |||||||
| Giant Wasp | |||||||
| |||||||
| Compared to the Wasps in previous Resident Evil games, these ones are quite a bit bigger. They will hover above you until they swoop down and attack, which can get you poisoned. If you have a chance to safely attack them, it's best to use the Shotgun or a stronger weapon. Otherwise, do your best to avoid them. | |||||||
| Scissor Worm | |||||||
| |||||||
| The Scissor Worms only appear in the Outbreak scenario after the Hard and Very Hard modes have been unlocked. They can get annoying, especially since a bite from one can poison you. One hit from pretty much any weapon will do a Scissor Worm in, but it's best to avoid them altogether to prevent wasting ammo and risking health. | |||||||
| Shark | |||||||
| |||||||
| The Sharks are found only at the docks during the "Decisions, Decisions" scenario, however, they cannot be killed. When getting items around that area, be sure to move quickly to avoid taking damage from them. | |||||||
| Leech | |||||||
| |||||||
| Leeches only appear in "The Hive" scenario, but they aren't a real challenge. Shooting them is a waste of time, since they are usually found in larger groups and are hard to hit. The best way to confront leeches are either to simply run away and avoid them, or step on them to kill them. | |||||||
| Your Friends (Online Only) | |||||||
| |||||||
| When playing online, you can choose to have the option of friendly fire. Do you really trust the people you're playing with? Also, if one of your friends (or yourself) is killed by any of the creatures in the game, they'll probably come back as a zombie and will attack you! Watch your back always. Note: In Single-Play mode during "Below Freezing Point," if you're not playing as Yoko, when you see her later in the labs, she will have become a zombie. | |||||||
| Will | |||||||
| |||||||
| During the Outbreak scenerio, Will will eventually get up and become a zombie. He is the same as a regular zombie and thus should be treated as one. | |||||||
| Bob | |||||||
| |||||||
| During the Outbreak scenerio when you're playing in Very Hard mode, after Bob's death scene on the roof, he will become a zombie. He is pretty much the same as a regular zombie, so take him out as you would any other zombie. | |||||||
| G-Imago | |||||||
| |||||||
| The G-Image is a large fleshy monster in the "Below Freezing Point" scenario that drops its larva to attack you, which are the only real threats to you in this battle (see the G-Larva enemy). Avoid the larva and fire away with the Magnum, or if you do not have that, the Shotgun. Continue shooting it until it starts bleeding and begins to shrink, which marks the end of the scenario. | |||||||
| Leech Man | |||||||
| |||||||
| You encounter the Leech Man almost constantly throughout "The Hive" scenario, but you cannot kill it until later on when you unlock B2 of the hospital. You will find a Controlled Temperature Experiment Room that you can lure him in that room using a blood packet. You can finally finish it off by leading your teammates out of the room and switching the temperature to High. After that, you will not be bothered by the Leech Man again. Note: In Single-Play mode, if one of your AIPCs dies after you've killed the Leech Man, they will become the new Leech Man. You cannot kill them by using the Fixed Experiment room either. The leeches won't fall for the same trick twice. | |||||||
| Giant Leech | |||||||
| |||||||
| You face the Giant Leech at the very end of "The Hive" scenario. There are two ways to defeat this boss, and both are relatively simple. The first and obvious method is the just continuously shoot it while dodging its few attacks, the Giant Leech doesn't take too much before dying. To quickly end this battle, you must shoot at one of the small valves on the roof of the tunnel when the creature is under it and the battle will instantly be over. | |||||||
| Susden-Dead | |||||||
| |||||||
| The Susden-Dead is a strange Licker. Although it cannot move, the Suspen-Dead's quick tongue is dangerous and can reach pretty much anywhere in the room. Use the Shotgun or Handgun from a distance to take it out. | |||||||
| Thanatos-R Tyrant | |||||||
| |||||||
| This Tyrant has similar traits to its predecessors, although it is faster and more dangerous than the original. During your first encounter, you can only run from it, but the second battle is a little tricker. Near the wall is a cabinet containing the Rocket Launcher, use the Grenade Launcher or Assault Rifle to break it open. Take aim with it and launch only a SINGLE Rocket at it. After that, keep using any other weapons you have until it dies. After a cutscene, you will have to fight the Thanatos-R yet again. To defeat him, you must grab the Amouple Shooter, load it up with a Daylight capsule, and fire it at him. If you miss, keep shooting it with any other weapon until it dies. | |||||||
| Zombie | |||||||
| |||||||
Zombies are in every scenario and Elimination 1. | |||||||
| Horn Bill | |||||||
| |||||||
| Horn Bills are exotic birds found in Wild Things. They are similar to the crow enemy and swoop down to attack you. Equip a handgun and blast them once or twice or simply avoid them altogether. They are also enemies in Elimination 1. | |||||||
| Wasps | |||||||
| |||||||
| Flying bugs are found only in the green house in Wild Things. They tend to swarm around Raffelisa plants. When you get near, they damage and poison you. Avoid them or destroy the Raffelisa plants to thin them out. | |||||||
| Zombie Hyenas | |||||||
| |||||||
| Hyenas are fast and agile. Either run from them or quickly down them with the shotgun or a handgun. They will pounce on you if you're too slow and inflict considerable damage. | |||||||
| Ivy Plants | |||||||
| |||||||
| There is one Ivy Plant in the greenhouse during Wild Things, though it can be avoid completely by going around it. There are several more in Flashback. The only way to kill one of these is to use the axe you find to chop them in half. If you don't have the axe, but need to get by, use a melee weapon to temporarily remove them from your path. Watch yourself around them, though. They'll grab your legs. | |||||||
| Mega Bite | |||||||
| |||||||
| Giga Bites are fleas found in Underbelly. They come in many sizes, however most start as small. They are attrached to blood, so they will go after you and your team, attach to you and suck your blood. Perform a melee attack and get them off quickly. Using blood packs will dstract them too, but if they drink too much blood they grow immensly in size. Once they've grown large, they no longer crave blood. They instead roll themselves at you to damage you. Giga Bites are also enemies in Elimination 2 &3 and Showdown 2 & 3. | |||||||
| Zombie Lion (Female) | |||||||
| |||||||
| These Lions are very dangerous and even have an instant death move. They will also pounce, bite, and scratch. They can both dish out and take a lot of damage, making them very deadly. Quickly take them out before they get you. | |||||||
| Green Zombies | |||||||
| |||||||
| Green Zombies are zombies with plants growing in and on them. The only real difference is that these zombies spit out green, poisonous acid. Kill them before they get close. | |||||||
| Scissor Tails | |||||||
| |||||||
| If the bridge breaks in Flashback before you cross it and get to the hospital, you will play an alternate path. All the zombies disapear and are replaced with scissor worms. They are dangerous and poison easily. Take them out quickly or avoid them. | |||||||
| Giant Wasps | |||||||
| |||||||
| There aren't too many wasps and they are found only in Flashback. Down them with a handgun shot or a melee weapon before they can sting you. | |||||||
| Cerberus | |||||||
| |||||||
| You will find these zombie hounds in Desperate Times and Elimination 1 & 3. They are fast and agile, so use a shotgun or handgun and quickly down them. | |||||||
| Crows | |||||||
| |||||||
| Crows will swoop down to attack you. They ca nbe dispatched easily with one or two handgun bullets. While they're easy to deal with one on one, when you encounter multiple crows at once, be careful or you may find yourself quickly outnumbered. | |||||||
| Evil Shade | |||||||
| |||||||
| Evil Shades are stationary plants that spit out poison. Time your movements to go around them if you can. At some points, Evil Shades cannot be avoided. Shoot them a few times and they'll temporarily disapear so you can get by them. | |||||||
| Hunter | |||||||
| |||||||
| These Hunters are fast and deadly. Their sharp claws can do some damage and they can hard to hit. The shotgun and chemical bottles are very effective against them. When Mr. X is released, he'll help you out in killing these Hunters. | |||||||
| Webspinners | |||||||
| |||||||
| Found in End of the Road and Elimination 2 & 3, webspinners are giant spiders. Their main attack is spitting poison acid at you. Use the shotgun or magnum to take them out quickly. | |||||||
| Lickers | |||||||
| |||||||
| Lickers are found in Desperate Times and Elimination 1 & 3. They use their considerably long tounges like a whip and will also slash you with their clwas. Use a shotgun or more powerful weapon to down them quickly. | |||||||
| Hunter Gamma | |||||||
| |||||||
| Hunter Gammas are only enemies in Elimination 3. They're nearly the same as the other Hunters. Take them out with a firearm and continue on. | |||||||
| Leeches | |||||||
| |||||||
| Leeches are only in Elimination 3. Avoiding them completely is the best method, but if you must, use the handgun or a melee weapon to kill one. However, they are small and can be hard to hit. | |||||||
| Titan (Zombie Elephant) | |||||||
| |||||||
| Titan, Raccoon Zoo's prized elephant, is infected! He will chase you all over the zoo, dealing out extreme damage. When you enter the main office, he'll break through the walls and try to rip you out there, too. You have two options now. Kill him or lock him up. Killing him just takes moving around a lot and dealing out a ton of damage. Lock him up by going into the control room above his holding pen, playing the Parade BGM tape and locking him up when he enters his pen. If you lock him up, there's a chance he will break out and will be the final boss of Wild Things. Run around and dish out some major damage. If you have the Parade BGM tape, play it on the tape player in the very back of the street to distract him. Once he takes enough damage, he's dead. | |||||||
| Stalker (Male Zombie Lion) | |||||||
| |||||||
| If you killed Titan, or he doesn't break out of his pen, you will fight Stalker as the final boss of Wild Things. He's fast and agile, dishing out some severe pain. He sometimes will jump onto high surfaces. Move around so he doesn't pounce on you when he comes back down. While he's on the ground, shoot him as much as you can and he'll eventually go down. | |||||||
| Giga Bite | |||||||
| |||||||
| The battle really starts when a Giga Bite snatches up someone from your team (or you) from the train. Make your way to the tunnels to save your friend (or for your friends to save you). The Queen is stationary, but several of those larger giga Bites are doing their rolling damage thing. Focus on the Queen and unload as much ammo as you can into her. After she's taken enough damage, the Queen will die. | |||||||
| Axe Man | |||||||
| |||||||
| If you go on the main path during Flashback, the Axe Man will chase you through the hospital for the entire length of the scenerio. He runs after you with an Axe relentlessly. For now, you should simply avoid him, since he can't be killed. Even if you hurt him a lot, he'll run away only to return when you go into the next room. Later on when you're in the upper parts of the Hospital, Axe Man will climb up a ledge and attack you. Here, you should shoot him a whole bunch, since he's near impossible to avoid. Once he takes enough damage, he'll jump off the platform. After defeating the Huge Plant boss, you'll have one last encounter with the Axe Man. You can run by him or fight him. Your actions here effect what ending you get. Should you choose to fight him, use whatever ammo you have left. The Grenade Launcher works well. He will then retreat one last time. | |||||||
| Huge Plant | |||||||
| |||||||
| This is 'the brain' of the rest of the plants in the hospital. You'll need to kill it to get out in one piece, since it's blocking the door by the hospital storeroom. There are other plants in the room, some hanging from the ceiling. Avoid them and blast the central plant in the middle of the room. The Grenade Launcher and Green Chemical Bottles are very effective. The central plant will crush parts of the ceiling which will fall to damage you. Try to move around a bit so you're not hit. After the plant takes enough damage, it dies. But now you have an even bigger problem... | |||||||
| Mr. X (Tyrant R) | |||||||
| |||||||
| For the beginning of the Desperate Times scenerio after Carter releases him, Mr. X will be your ally, walking around the facility killing Hunters. However, after the cutscene where he goes nuts on Linda and Carter, Mr. X is your enemy. Use whatever weapons you have to down him. Later on, after the cutscene where you see Linda Mr. X will drop down onto the catwalk. Use whatever weapons you have again to down him. A while later you will find the remote bomb detonator Carter dropped. Keep it handy. After you reach street level, the wounded Mr. X will show up and mutate into his Tyrant form - Tyrant R. While possible to down him with firearms, I recommend using the controller here. You have to be close but not too close and hold the button for at least five seconds for him to blow. If you succede it's an instant kill. | |||||||
| Nyx | |||||||
| |||||||
| The Nyx is a blob like enemy that has absorbed several UBCS members and our good friend Mr. X. If you havn't used Mr. X's remote detonator yet, use it now for an instant kill. If you used it on Mr. X, don't worry. Find the rocket launcher. Attack Nyx with other weapons until he falls over and he reaveals his center pod. Run in front of the pod and fire the rocket launcher into it and he'll die instantly. This is the easiet method. There isn't any other effective method to beat it. It's attacks include swinging it's arms, fireing blobs into the air which fall down and damage/increase your virus meter, and a lethal move where it absorbs you. If abosrbed, you're pretty much scrwed, since your virus meter will hit 100% in mere seconds. | |||||||
