| Zombie | |||||||
| |||||||
| These are your typical Zombies, and the only normal enemy in the entire game. When you encounter one, you will enter a special battle screen (See Battle Overview section). The Zombies in this game, however, vary a lot throughout the game, in terms of strength, appearance, attacks, and more. | |||||||
| Captain | |||||||
| |||||||
| The captain of the Starlight has turned into a Zombie and you eventually have to fight him. He is stronger than many Zombies you've encountered up until this point and can take a large amount of hits before going down. The Captain is equipped with a gun and can actually fire it, causing a decent amount of damage to you. The Shotgun is the best weapon to use on this boss, but anything else works if you're low on ammo. | |||||||
| Bio-Weapon | |||||||
| |||||||
| You encounter the B.O.W. many times throughout the game, and he gradually gets harder with each battle. The Shotgun is sufficient for the first battles with it, but as time goes on, you will need stronger weaons like the Shotgun and Grenade Launcher. Save at least 10 Rockets for the final encounter with the B.O.W. and be sure to carry plenty of extra ammo as well as healing items. | |||||||
| Zombie | |||||||
| |||||||
| While almost every weapon (with the exception of the Knife) is good against a Zombie, the Handgun is the ideal weapon to use. It will down a Zombie in just 3-5 shots, or a single shot if you aim up with the Shotgun when one is in close range. A Zombie will not only attack while they are standing, but even while they are on the ground. They may move slowly, but can deal a decent amount of damage, and are usually found in larger numbers. Do not take them lightly. | |||||||
| Hunter | |||||||
| |||||||
| These Hunters are pretty much the same as the ones from previous games, except with slightly different looks. They won't strike until you are on their sight, and can quickly deal a considerable amount of damage. In some cases, a Hunter may be able to perform a one-hit kill on you. A powerful weapon like the Magnum or Grenade Launcher works best on Hunters, however, using Shotgun blasts to knock them down also works well. | |||||||
| Torpedo Kid | |||||||
| |||||||
| Torpedo Kids are small, fast creatures spawned by the Nautilus in the Waterways. Trying to kill all of them is useless since there are so many and the Nautilus constantly produces more. Because of this. the best thing to do is avoid them and go straight to the source to get rid of them. | |||||||
| Nautilus | |||||||
| |||||||
| There are only two of these creatures in the game. A Nautilus really cannot do much to you to harm you, except constantly produce Torpedo Kids that get in your way. Equip yourself with the Shotgun or any other weapon to take care of them. Keep taking shots until they die and your Torpedo Kid problems are solved. | |||||||
| Glimmer | |||||||
| |||||||
| At one point of the game, the Glimmers are quite common, but are mainly found in dark rooms, allowing you to see only their glowing red eyes in the dark. They move extremely fast, making them very difficult to hit. Trying to kill Glimmers will usually waste a lot of ammo, so it's best to keep running and avoid them all together. | |||||||
| Halbert | |||||||
| |||||||
| These creatures are found only in a single room towards the end of the game while fighting the Queen Halbert boss. The Halberts can easily be killed with any weapon, although it's best to ignore them and focus on the queen since their attacks do not do much damage to you. | |||||||
| T-091 Tyrant | |||||||
| |||||||
| This Tyrant is unique in the fact that it has very long limbs to hit you with, but they thankfully do not do too much damage. The key to defeating the T-091 is to fire at its exposed weak point on the back of the neck. It's usually difficult to get a good shot in, though, so the next best thing would be to try for head shots until you get a clear view of its weak point. | |||||||
| Pluto Tyrant | |||||||
| |||||||
| The Pluto Tyrant is an escaped Umbrella experiment that was deemed a failure. Although it cannot see, its hearing has been greatly enhanced. This creature will walk around the room until it hears you, usually from a gunshot or from running, and will then charge towards you. It's best to take aim with a powerful weapon to avoid taking too much damage when it charges you. | |||||||
| Queen Halbert | |||||||
| |||||||
| You have to fight the Queen Halbert in a fairly small room full of normal Halberts ready to attack you. The best thing to do in this battle is to use the Assault Rifle, so you can deal damage on both the bugs and the Queen at the same time. This will lower your risk of taking damage and allow you to focus on the Queen, but if you have to use any other weapon, ignore the Halberts and heal when necessary. | |||||||
| Morpheus Duvall (First Form) | |||||||
| |||||||
| You will encounter Morpheus as a Tyrant multiple times throughout the game, although you cannot defeat him until you acquire the Charged Particle Rifle towards the end of the game. In his first form, he has the ability to attack you using electricity, so you must take cover behind anything close to you until you can get a good shot at him with the Rifle. Avoid his attacks and when he takes enough shots, the battle will end. | |||||||
| Morpheus Duvall (Second Form) | |||||||
| |||||||
| In this final battle, you will have a time limit, but Morpheus thankfully isn't too hard to finish off. You will have to halt the approaching mass of flesh by taking aim and firing at its head, which will randomly slide in and out of different parts of its body. The Magnum is most effective weapon to use, but anything will do. Keep shooting it in the head until it has had enough. | |||||||
