The Hug an Orc Foundation was originated on Mellon Chronicles mailing list, (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/aragorn-legolas/ or http://www.aragorn-legolas.5u.com/)along with other lists that i don't have a part in, by an author under the alias of Bill the pony, after her comment about how the orcs looked rather cuddly in a picture an artist, going by Shi, had drawn. After this comment it errupted into a full out Hug an Orc craze. Now It has become it's own orginazation, and it is waiting for you!

Hug an Orc is here to help orcs recover from their previous malicious state and become civilized members of society, and to give of destroying things and eating helpless victims for more constructive hobbies, such as curtain making, and perhaps even become vegetarions. Of course this is the long term goal and can't become a reality without you.

How do I Hug an Orc, you ask? well that's simple. You begin by joining the yahoo group, the initial "hugging". When you are a member you will recieve an e-mail informing you who your orc is, as well as the rules for the group. After this, periodically you will recieve e-mail from your orc, updating you on their progress, or special events in their life. Be sure to always e-mail your orc back or they may regress.
