WHAT IS THE ORDER OF THE EASTERN STAR? 
It is the largest fraternal orginization in the world in which both men and women can participate. We are comprised of individuals with high spiritual and moral values, however, we are not a religion. We seek members that have a desire to learn and grow mentally and enrich the lives of those around them through community service. We are composed of individuals with deep spiritual convictions and is open to all faiths, except those with none.
WHAT IS OUR PURPOSE?
To be CHARITABLE, EDUCATIONAL, FRATERNAL, AND SCIENTIFIC. We strive to to take good people and uplift them through assocations of love and service and build a chapter dedicated to charity, truth and loving kindness.
SOME THINGS THAT WE DO?
Many Eastern Star Chapters donate funds to a wide variety of charities. Harriet Tubman Chapter #40 has a special place in our hearts for members in the military community of Mannheim. Many of our members have some sort of affiliation to the military and further try to enhance their own personal lives and their community through charity within in our organization. We pride ourselves in taking care of our members, organizing events that are not only fun but bring togetherness amongst members and those around us, and giving back to the community.
