Pastor Lawrence Henderson Sr. Biography
Elder Henderson was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education at Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio. Elder Henderson also received a Mastor Degree in Education Administration from The Ohio State University.
Elder Henderson was joined in marriage to Barbara J. Goodwin. There were 5 daughters and 2 sons born into this union.
Elder Henderson taught at Linden McKinley High in the Columbus Public Schools System for 30 years. It was during his second year of teaching that Elder Henderson went to the Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith where there was a fall revivial. He was baptized and received the Holy Ghost November 2, 1973. Elder Henderson served as Vic-President and President of the Young People Organization. He was a Sunday School teacher in the Middle School Dept. He was called into the ministry and became drawn to out-reach ministries. Elder Henderson was active in the Prison Ministries at the Church of Christ and is founder of Impact Ministries. Impact Ministries specialized in looking for lost souls to be won for Christ. This ministry canvased communities for small churches and any church who needed help to witness to souls. Impact Ministries provided food and clothing for these churches to give away at the street meetings. The ministry was made up of saints from several churches who wanted others to know about the wonderful Saviour we serve.
Elder Henderson is a Licensed and Ordained Minister of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World Aenon Bible College.
Elder Henderson always is very concerned for people[young and old]. He trys to reach each soul as if it would be his last time to preach or teach or if it was their last time to hear the gospel.
Elder Henderson retired from the Columbus Public Schools after teaching 30 years. He continued being a faithful husband, a faithful father to his seven children, a faithful minister in the gospel. Elder Henderson was assigned by Dr. Eugene Lundy, his pastor, and Holy Ghost after a fall tent revival 2000 to be co-director with Evangelist Mamie Wilson of the Eastside Cell Ministries. There Elder Henderson was faithful every Thursday teaching and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ until the Holy Ghost and Dr. Lundy commission him to start a church.
Elder Henderson is founder and pastor of Harvest Time Ministries International Church. He opened the doors of the church at "Beatty at Eastgate Elementary School", 1939 Stratford Way here in Columbus, Ohio July 3, 2005. Elder Henderson is still being faithful unto the Lord teaching on Thursday evenings and preaching on Sunday services. Elder Lawrence Henderson has a heart of a worshipper and is truly a man that loves the Lord.
