Holly Springs Hawks,
I would like to welcome back all returning hawks as we prepare for an exciting new chapter at HSHS. To all incoming freshmen, welcome to the family! You will learn that at Holly Springs High we have begun to build a tradition of excellence; however, it is up to each new incoming class to continue the process. Here we strive for excellence. Whether it is excellence in the classroom, in a theatrical production, or on the playing field we are a hardworking group of young adults. There are so many different activities that HSHS provides. The participation by our student body is the key to an unforgettable school year. We take pride in showing our school spirit and you should too! The best way to do so is by finding that niche in high school and GET INVOLVED. Whether that means joining the upper classmen in the student section at games, trying out for the school musical, or joining the variety of clubs that are offered. Don’t be afraid to jump in!
As part of the 2009-2010 student government association, I am confident that we will do our best to make this school year one to remember. To all returning hawks, let’s raise the level of school spirit to one that has not been reached before and continue to improve upon the tradition we have begun to establish. To all freshmen, these can be the best years of your life depending on what you make of it. So have fun, get involved, and most importantly be yourself.
Your Student Body President,
Kelly Krebs

Students receive leadership training and community service training and opportunities through projects that are of direct value to the Holly Springs High School students and surrounding community. The HSHSSCA allows students to become more familiar with the election process, vote on many issues, inform their classmates of upcoming events, communicate the ideas of their classmates to the SCA, and work in cooperative groups on special projects.
The SCA officers will be elected in the spring through an election process.
The Class Council Executive Board (E Board) is composed of elected class officers from each grade, ninth through twelfth. Rising grades 10-12 will hold elections in the spring, freshmen will hold elections in the fall.
The SCA sponsors many events throughout the school year, including but not limited to homecoming events, fund - raisers, special school spirit days, contests, community service initiatives, and staff recognition days.
The SCA appreciates the support of the faculty, parents, and community. We invite all students to get involved in this outstanding and energetic group!
