7th Grade Bears Team

End of Year Info.

End-of-Year Dates & Events
It will be a quick road from the EOGs to the last day of school.  Below are a few dates and events that you may need to know about.

  • EOG Celebration
This is a celebration similar to our fundraiser main events, but available to all students in good standing.  This will be on Monday, June 8.  Each grade level will be split into two groups and will be able to attend for about an hour.  Students have been told that if we make our goal of 80% proficiency, we will double the amount of time spent at the EOG Celebration.  Sixth and 7th grade students will receive their yearbooks on this day along with any 8th graders who did not attend the dance.

  • 8th Grade Awards Day
This event will be on Tuesday, June 9 at 10:00am.  The goal is for the event to last no more than 45 minutes.  This is an event with an Awards Day format designed to celebrate the time in middle school and accomplishments.  Selected 8th graders will be presented with awards.  This is not an event where all students "graduate" and walk across a stage.

  • 6th & 7th Grade Awards Day
This event will be on Wednesday, June 10 at 7:45am.  The goal is for this event to last no more than 45 minutes.  Teams will recognize various students and parents of students receiving awards will receive an invitation.

If I have left out an event or if you have a question, please let me know.

Spring Pictures
Spring picture payments are past due.  If you have paid online, the school does need you to print your payment receipt to turn in.  Classes who have 100% will be treated to ice cream (provided by Lifetouch Studios).  See Ms. Webb ( swebb@wcpss.net ) if you have questions.

Parents and Students:   Welcome to the Bears Team!

Holly Ridge Middle School has established a tradition of providing excellent learning opportunities for all students.  The teachers on the Bears Team will model a caring attitude, demonstrate concern for our students, and welcome parental involvement.  Through the collaborative efforts of students, parents and teachers,  we will make a difference.

The investment we make today will last a lifetime; and will never be forgotten by the lives that are touched.  The continual progress of our students' academic achievement is our main goal.  Thank you for continued support this year.  Together we can make this your student's best year at HRMS.
