Ok, so most people have at least HEARD of Lost even if they don't watch it. For those of you who have no idea what I'm on about here's a quick rundown. (Ok, so it's not quick, but since when was it a good idea to have FOURTEEN main characters? Then sixteen, then fourteen. Again. All with different back stories? Sheesh this is gonna take a lot of explaining)
Basically this plane (flight 815, an important number so far) hit an air pocket during flight so they steered the plane off course. Unfortunately at one thousand miles of course the plane hit more turbulence and crashed on a deserted island, apparently with huge monsters in the jungle and other strange people who've been there sixteen years. So far we've found out that the people who survived the crash all have interesting backgrounds, or at least the main 14 out of the 48 that survived. Well it was fourteen until two of them died and then another four turned up from the tail section. Sheesh this programme is complicated. Then of course there are the 'others' but let's just say the one's we want to focus on are the sixteen good guys (note the number!) So far this is what we know:
Jack Shepherd: Regarded somewhat as the 'hero' he's a surgeon who worked alongside his father. What we can gather from his back story is that his dad was a drunk and disappeared one day. When Jack found him he had to take him on flight 815 in order to get him home to bury him. However after the plane crashed and Jack started following what appeared to be his dad's ghost Jack found the coffin in the jungle. Empty... One of the people his dad once operated on was a pregnant mother (Samantha Boone), however because Jack's Dad was 'under the influence' he severed a major artery and killed the woman. I believe it's this death (that Jack believes he could have avoided) that spurs Jack on to help other people. Later on in this series we find Jack once again fighting for someone's life. This time Boone Carlysle is the one at death's door. I think that Jack found it hard to stop trying to keep Boone alive because he was reminded so forcibly of the woman who his Dad killed. Awww. But seriously Jack, you have to learn to let go of the past, or else the future will never come. Hlaf way through series 2 and we've seen that Jack tried and failed to save another miracle patient. Was Sarah just a one off? Or did the ever mysterious Dharma have something to do with it? Sheesh man stop lording it over everyone!!!! Just because we have Henry Gale to worry about doesn't mean that the hatch suddenly becomes your responsibilty! I mean you never wanted to push the stupid button in the first place!! Just leave and go make out with Kate! C'mon! That's what we're all waiting for isn't it? Once again tried and failed to keep a dying person alive, but c'mon Jack, don't beat yourself up too much, on an island, you really can't perform mircales. AND OMG. Christian Shepherd has an illigitamet daughter? Three guesses who it is!!! My bet is Libby or Emma (the girl taken by the other along with her younger brother Zach) I mean, it's just GOT to be someone on the island hasn't it? Ok, so despite being told by Sayid that Michael has been 'compromised' he, Kate, Sawyer and Hurley still decide to go gallavanting off round the other side of the island. Yeah great idea, there's four of you and then Sayid and Jin on a boat against the 'others' (Sun don't count cause she's pregnant) It's really not going to work is it? Yup you got kidnapped and judging by the first episode of series three you're not enjoying it. Henry Gale (who has revealed his name as Benjamin something or other) came to talk to him, Juliette came to talk to him and apart from one almost half hearted escape attempt Jack has done nothing but sit in his cell and demand to know how his friends are. We discover that the 'others' have communication links with the outside world and Jack just laughs this off saying 'why would you stay here if you could get off this island?' but when Henry shows Jack a T.V. that shows the Red Socks winning the world series Jack almost loses his sanity. (BTW, what the HELL is up with the other village in the middle of the island? OMIGOD!!! I almost went mad when I saw that!!!) Ok so JAck is called to the aid of the 'other' that Sun shot, but he can't save her because they don't have the right medical equipment, so Ben (Henry Gale for those people who are still confused) decides Jack needs to be chained to the bed and left alone with the body for a while (what the fuck is up with his torture methods? He's so evil. I love it!) Then when Juliet comes to fetch him he says that the X-rays he saw on the way in were of a fourty year old man with a tumor on his spine. Jack wants to know who he's really here to save. Oooo could Ben be seriously ill? I think he's the only 'other' who would be worth that much trouble. Oh yeah!!! I guessed right!!! So Jack is being used to save Ben, but Juilet doesn't want him to save Ben judging by the messages on the T.V. But who should he believe? In this latest episode it seems that Jack has taken matters into his own hands. He doesn't trust Juliet and instead uses his power over Ben to free Kate and Sawyer. But it looks like he's going to have to pray that Ben sticks to his word when Jack sews him up and lets Jack go as promise. Pffttt, yeah right. Well Lost is back and Jack's plan went wrong. Yes, Kate and Sawyer managed to escape and yes he managed to stay alive, but after revealing what Juliette said to Tom (another other) he is forced to keep Ben alive. Ben who freakishly woke up during the operation. So Jack is still held captive, but luckily Kate, Sawyer and Karl (Alex's boyfriend) are free and heading back to the Planies.
Kate Austen: Is an escaped convict and was being shipped with her 'escort' when the plane crashed. Unfortunately her 'escort' died (Yeah, real clever to try and shoot him in the heart Sawyer. He was more likely to miss than hit thus causing Mars Edwards hours of pain as he died. If he wanted to do it properly he should have shot him underneath the chin or in the mouth. Yes my dad is slightly scared that I know how to kill someone too.) and now we are at the end of series 1 it has been revealed to everyone that Kate was the convict on the plane. So far we've found out that one of the things she did was rob a bank by pretending to be there on business, then being 'captured' by her masked boyfriend who was leader of the raid. Unfortunately for her boyfriend, Kate needed something more important than money from the bank and at the end of her memory we see her take an envelope with a mysterious plane in it from locker 815 (there are those numbers again). We also know that she killed her ex-boyfriend (Tom. Again with this name, why is it so important?), by accident when she was trying to get away from the police. Her and Tom had been digging up an old time-capsule after they met up again when Kate received a later from Tom telling her that her mother was sick. One of the things in the time capsule was a tape (marked with 815, these numbers really do get around) when they listened to it Kate says something that troubles me. "As soon as I get my licence I'm just gonna get in a car and drive. You know run away." to which Tom replied (on the tape) "You always wanna run away Katie." "Yeah. And you know why." This suggests that Kate committed a crime long before. Now if she was too young to drive when she committed her crime then maybe she didn't get sent to jail for it because she was too young. So my theory is this. What if Kate killed her dad? It would fit, if her dad beat her up and one day Kate accidently pushed him down the stairs or something then it would all fit. This would also explain her Mum's reaction in the hospital because her mum would assume Kate had come to finish her off as well. Or Maybe Kate's Dad had already died and her Mum remarried! Kate would've hated a step dad (she's that kinda person) and if the step dad was nasty to her... hmmm interesting, we'll have to see how this develops... OMG. How close were my predictions? Kinda halfway between the two wasn't it? Sheesh I scare myself sometimes. Rock on psychic powers! (Yes I know I'm mad.) Oh, oh, oh! She said she was sorry for kissing Jack, 'cause obviously she thinks that Jack is too good for her because of the murder thing (yeah, cause Jack's a saint <laughs>) and I was like 'he's not' and then what does Jack say? 'I'm not'. Oh yeah! Get in with the psychic powers!!! Kate was once again upset by the death of Ana Lucia and Libby. I think because Libby was a friend and Hurley was a friend and now one's gone and the other is going to have to join Sayid in 'Depressed Cove'. And I think she was upset about Ana Lucia cause she was jealous about how close she was to Jack and now Kate feels guilty for being jealous. Kate obviously wouldn't miss a chance to follow Jack on a rescue mission, but what the islanders seem to have forgotten is that every 'rescue' mission so far has ended in disaster. You'd think they'd get the picture wouldn't you? Kate wakes in a bathroom in the first episode of series three and I was foribly reminded of the opening scene of the film Saw. The 'others' wouldn't want to kill them would they? Then I got another flash of an idea. What if the 'others' are cannibals? And then I told myself that I was letting my obsessions merge and I should really concentrate on the programme itself.
Ok so Kate has a shower, wears a dress and has breakfast with Henry Gale. Apparently she gets this because the next two weeks are 'not going to be pleasent'. Uh oh... Then she gets thrown in a cage next to Sawyer and they talk, get put to manual labour, kiss, get thrown back in the cages and talk some more. Really sweet and all, but isn't Kate meant to be in love with Jack? I mean I'd prefer her to be with Sawyer because I think Sawyer and Kate both deserve somone who can understand the other, but neither of them mention Jack when talking to the other. Although, Kate talks to Alex and from the looks of things, Alex is seeing how willing they'll be to escape when the time comes. Kate ends up shouting that she loves Sawyer just to stop 'Pikett' (one of the 'others') from beating Sawyer up. Kate tells Sawyer afterwards that she only said it to get him to stop, but from the way she was crying me thinks Kate might have been too hasty kissing Jack. Sawyer is certainly looking like her soul mate. Jack walks past them at one point and they are ressured to know he's alive, but they can't let him know they're there. Instead a blaring siren sounds and Jack is pushed past with a bag on his head so despite much shouting, neitehr Sawyer nor Kate can make themselves heard. OMIGOD. Kate got married, and got pregnant!!! So what happened to baby Austen? We know that she ran away from her husband, but what about the baby? I guess life on the run if made hard if you're pregnant. But it does mean that Sawyer has had sex with two women on the island, both of whom were pregnant but didn't have the baby. I was like OMIGOD!!! Kate and Sawyer together??? Woot!!! I thought it was never gonna happen!!! Yay! Kate manages to escape with the help of Sawyer, Jack, Juliette and Alex. But is this the end for her run ins with the others? I don't think so... Well, they return to camp only for Kate to collect water and head off into the jungle to find the Freaky French lady cause if there's one person who can help her conqour the 'others' its the woman who's child they took.
James 'Sawyer' Ford: Sawyer is a particularly difficult character to follow. For most of the series so far it has been believed that he was a con man who had a "relationship" with the wife of one of his clients. Then when his client found out he supposedly killed his wife and then himself leaving a poor boy of eight years old to deal with the situation. Kate also found a letter that was addressed to Sawyer explaining all this and saying at the end "All I know is your name Mr. Sawyer. But one day I'm going to find you and give you this letter so you know how much pain you caused me." It is later discovered that Sawyer himself was the little boy who never found the con man who killed his parents. (Which is why he got out of conning people when he realised his client had an eight year old son). I think that Sawyer is less selfish than he appears, I think the troubled past combined with a longing NOT to be understood and to be treated as a victim has led to him appearing arrogant and annoying. But deep inside he's just a little boy who wants to be loved... We now know he had a previous connection with Jack's dad and telling Jack about this has won him brownie points making the survivors stronger. Which is good because the other's are coming.... The Long Con. Dear lord did that woman not realise Sawyer was conning her all the way? Duh, retard! Or maybe I just read so much into these things that I'm geting scarily psychic? I thought that we might get to see the good side of Sawyer when he found that tree frog (with Hurley's help, good ol' fun time Hurley!) that we might see a good side to him. You know, secretly he just wants to be loved kind of thing. No chance. In the words of Hurley 'Dude...' Awww, Sawyer's not that bad really people. Despite having sex with Ana when he's supposedly in love with Kate (but I'm blaming that on his troubled past because I like Sawyer) he was genuinely upset and concerned when they found Ana dead in teh hatch and Libby not far from. And his hug with Kate when Libby finally gave up was so sweet, you could tell he really cared. So Kate follows Jack, Sawyer's bound to follow Kate right? (God Michael your job for the others wasn't very difficult was it?) So after all the disaster on the island you still think you can defeat the 'others'? Think again... Ha, ya see! You got captured, and despite being put in a cage you still found something to do. Well done, you got a fish biscuit. It only took you about a day. It took the bears two hours.
So you shout at the 'others' and get put to manual labour with Kate. Which is all well and good, but then Sawyer loves Kate and seems unable to keep his hands off her. He kisses her and manages to take out several 'others' and get hold of a gun, but gets thrown back in the cage when Juliette stops him by pointing a gun at Kate. Poor old Kate doesn't look scared so much as upset. After all this will be like the hundreth time she's been held at gun point and to be honest she looks like she's getting sick of it. So she and Sawyer have a little warm chat when they're back in the cages and it's revealed that Kate tastes like strawberries and Sawyer like fish biscuits. >squee!< Sawyer is made to believe that he has had a pace maker put in but this pace maker is a little different. Should Sawyer's heartrate rise above 140 beats per minute his heart will be forced to explode by the pace maker. This dosen't bother Sawyer, given the chance he'd probably kill himself just to spite the 'others', but he keeps his head down when they threaten to put one in Kate if he puts a toe out of line. At the end of the episode though it is revealed that the only thing they put in Sawyer was doubt. There was no pace maker, evil Ben just wanted Sawyer to stay in line. That and show him that the island with his friends on is the next island over, (turns out there are two next to each other, how on earth did the rafties not realise this?) this explains why they never found the 'others' village and why they have a boat. But Sawyer now knows that escaping the 'others' has just got ten times harder. In the flashbacks we learn that Sawyer spent time in prison for conning, but once again managed to con his way out. I've seen him con so many times now I can spot it a mile off. However his girlfriend (who he conned) turns up for a visit and to deliver some shocking news. Sawyer is a dad to Clementine Phillips. So now it explains why Aaron took a shine to Sawyer.
Sawyer and Kate are in love!!! YAYNESS!!!! Apart from having sex with Kate, Saywer, spends his time during this episode chucking rocks at the machinein his cage. He and Kate escape with help from Alex and Juliette and intend to go back to the planies along with Karl, Alex's boyfriend. Looks like he and Kate have had a bit of a bust up, so when Hurley practically orders Sawyer to help him get this car he's found to start (why the hell do they keep finding random crap in the jungle?) and he has some fun with Hurley, Charlie and Jin. Then he takes the beer back to camp and mopes cause Kate is nowhere to be seen and he can't make it up with her.
John Locke: Another mysterious character. He was paralyzed and in a wheelchair before the crash but somehow amazingly regained the power of his legs. We still don't know HOW he ended up in a wheelchair but we do know that Locke is one kidney short having met up with his real parents several years after being adopted and giving a kidney to his Dad who was on one of those dyalasis machines. Not much else is known about his past except he had a huge crush on a "phone" woman called Helen and that he worked for a box company. He always wanted to go on adventures and he seems perfectly at home on the island. Locke is the one and ONLY person to have seen the monster in the jungle but has denied any such knowledge to his fellow islanders, which makes us wonder whether he's protecting them (maybe the truth would scare them silly) or something much more sinister... Ok so now we know Hurley owned the box company and that somehow Locke is tapping into the island. What is with the hatch? Hurley's already had a warning about it (see Hurley's bio) and now Walt has given Locke a warning. But so far they still seem intent on opening it. Somehow I think this is a BIG mistake. Locke seems to me to be an evil stooge. I mean why did he hit Sayid over the head and destroy the transmitter? Why did he try to lead them off Charlie's trail? Why is he convinced that Walt should play with knives? Maybe Michael was right not to trust him, all Locke seems to have done so far is try to get people hurt/killed/worse. Personally I think that the island is a way of people testing other people to further their knowledge of the human brain and I think Locke is in on this. Either that or it's the usual thing of aliens doing some whacked out experiment. OR (yes there are many loop holes and other theories) the island is testing them all and won't let them go until they have all sorted out their lives. My god... it's like the TRISHA SHOW!!!! Ah, his mysterious crush on the phone woman is solved. The girlfriend he once had was called Helen (played by the woman who does the voice of Leela in Futurama) and she met him at a self help group. But Locke was still obessed with his dad and she made him choose. Your Dad or Me. Guess which Locke went for? OMG Locke is totally evil. I'm sorry but just how cruel was he to Charlie over those drugs? I'm sorry Locke I seem to remember you saying something along the lines of 'Don't tell me what I can't do', so ahem... shoot me if I'm wrong but WHERE THE HELL DOES IT SAY YOU CAN HIT CHARLIE THREE TIMES FOR SUPPOSEDLY TAKING DRUGS WHICH HE NEVER TOUCHED WHEN IT'S HIS LIFE AND HIS CHOICE? My god man will you stop lording it over everyone! Go have a fight with Jack or something. As your dad said 'You're not wanted'.
Oh yeah anyone else think that (after watching another boring flashback eppy) Anthony Cooper (Locke's dad) might be the real Sawyer? My psychic powers are tingling!!! (Oh yeah and I spotted Nadia (Sayid's long lost love) in the flashback too, hands up who else did?) YES!!!! Locke, along with Eko found another hatch (three of six now, presumably because the other hatches don't know about the experimenting Pearl hatch) and Locke goes all boo hoo because pushing the buttons does nothing!!! As Jack has been telling him all along. <does little Hurley dance> Oh yeah, Locke's annoyed, woohoo!!! So now Locke's all like 'lets let the counter get to zero'. Ok, lets do it. Enter Desmond again who believes that he made the plane crash. Hmmmm... somehow I don't think so. Cure exploding hatch and leaving us (probably for like a year) to wonder whethere Locke, Desmond or Eko survived. (Knowing lost all three will be right as rain. Grrrr... die Locke die... oh wait, Locke won't die because we don't know how he became paralyzed. GODDAMNIT!!!) Yup I was right, Locke, Desmond and Eko did all survive. Well I like Desmond and Eko so it's not too bad. Darn Locke is mute at the begining of episode three (har har serves you right!) and builds a 'sweat lodge' to communicate with the island. My god what is he fucking on? Oh I forgot. Whacky paste. So he has a vision of Boone telling Locke that he has to clean up his own mess (save Eko) before he can save the people from the airport in his vision who are in danger (Jack, Sawyer and Kate). Great, so Charlie (who is still pissed at Locke) follows him because he hates Locke telling him to go back (he gets his speech back after the vision... poo....) So they go off to find Eko, find him, bring him home and Locke does a whole 'I'm gonna save Jack, Kate and Sawyer from the others' speech. Which is all well and good, but you're one person and Sayid, Sun and Jin (which is three people) failed to save them, so you don't really stand a chance do you? No... Oh and in the flahsback we find out why Locke is so apposed to drugs. Because he was a dealer of sorts. EVIL DIRTY MONSTER!!!! Ok so he follows Eko through the forest with a bunch of other people only for Eko to die. Locke helps bury Eko, but not before fetching Eko's jesus stick which has a very interesting peice of scripture 'Lift your eyes and look northwards' (or summit like that lol) which, is also wirtten on the hatch in ultraviolet paint. Hmmmmm... Apparently this scripture gives him the coordinates to find Jack, so when Kate returns to camp with Sawyer and then says she's going straight back to fetch Jack, Locke follows her along with Sayid (who does not get enough screen time in this series).
Charlie Pace: My favourite character and an exdruggie. He was originally from England and was part of a band called "Driveshaft". Him and his brother Liam were huge, a little too huge, his brother got way in over his head and all he could think about was drugs and girls. Charlie desperately tried to turn things around but, you know the old saying, if you can't beat 'em join 'em. Charlie tried the drugs and was hooked. A few years later Charlie went to Australia to try and persuade his brother to restart DriveShaft but his brother refused, then had the nerve to tell Charlie to kick the drugs. Charlie points out, rightly so, that it was his brothers idea to start DriveShaft and it was his brother who got him hooked on drugs. Once on the island however Charlie has managed to kick the drugs, find his guitar and even start to establish himself by making friends with Hurley and Claire. He was later kidnapped by Ethan Rom along with Claire only to be found hung a little later. Jack managed to revive him and though Charlie was deeply depressed by the loss of Claire the only other sign he was kidnapped are the deep red markings on his neck. Update. Claire's been found but remembers nothing. Now little by little her memory is returning. But how exactly did hse escape from Ethan Rom? It also now known why Charlie is so prtective. In a flash back episode we found out the Charlie went off with rich girls and nabbed their money to buy drugs, we saw that he fell in love with Lucy and started working for her dad. He started selling C815 copying machines but as Tom points out, if Charlie doesn't get his drugs soon withdrawl is going to kick in. Unfortuneatly for Charlie he starts to steal from Lucy and when she finds out she tells him she never wants to see him again. Charlie, gutted, returns to the only thing that has remaind constant. Drugs. So now we get why he's so prtective of Claire, but with a plane full of heroin on the island and the others approaching will Charlie be able to do what is rigth, or will he go back to what is easy? I'd also like to add that the actor who plays Charlie, Dominic Monaghan, plays Meriadoc BrandyBuck (Merry) in Lord Of the Rings. Ok so now we know that his brother was SO addicted that he dropped his own child (Megan, named after Charlie and Liams mum) and this spurred Liam into kicking the drugs. By selling Charlie's piano. My god Liam the more we learn the more I hate you. Poor old Charlie couldn't go to the rehab center with his brother because he had nothing to pay for it with. My dear Charlie you really hae had a hard life. Then recently he's started having dreams about Aaron being in danger and rather foolishly took things into his own hands after being found sleepwalking with the child. Claire is getting more and more pissed at him and I'm really upset cause they look like they're gonna stop being friends. Then Locke (MISTER BLOODY EVIL) hit Charlie not once, not twice but THREE TIMES for trying to 'save the baby'. Then Locke took the drugs away from Charlie caliming he'd lost the right to choose his own path. Correct me if I'm wrong here but I do believe that one of Locke's favourite lines is 'You can't tell me what to do', so what gives him the right to boss Charlie about? Grrr... die Locke you evil stooge! (I'm not biased, he really is evil). Poor old Charlie the maytr. You can save everyone but yourself... HAHAHA!!! Charlie was proved right in the episode 'Maternity Leave' the baby was in danger!!! But, I'm sorry... correct me if I'm wrong, but appologies are due from both Locke and Claire. Now I can see Claire kissing and making up with him, but Locke? Oh no, mister 'I'm always right, you can't tell me what to do' is happily gallavanting off into the jungle after 'others' (despite them not leaving any tracks) and not mentioning Charlie once. OH YES!!!!! GET IN THERE WITH THE CHIPS!!!! Charlie escapes the exploding hatch (for some mysterious reason forgets to mention this and the fact that Locke, Desmond and Eko are still down there to anyone) and he and CLAIRE KISSED!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!!!! Oh yeah, so Charlie turns up in episode three which is good, because I was begining to get Hobbit withdrawl. lol. So anyway, he points out that he's still pissed at Locke and doesn't really want to help him. But he does. Darn you Charlie you're too good!!! And then Charlie makes a funny comment to Locke about him doing drugs saying that he would hate Locke to have to beat himself up. GO CHARLIE!!! You piss the BW off!!! OH YEAH!!! lol. There's only one shot of him and Claire together and it's evident that there close, but there's no kissing/hand holding. I think they've just turned into a family. lol. Which is so sweet!!!! Charlie is a little freaked out by Desmond when he tells him and Claire about their roof, which hasn't leaked yet, but goes on to when a storm hits. Charlie pulls Eko from the burning tent but that is all. *sniff*. OMG. Ok I have to calm myself to tell you guys this, but after Desmond went all freaky in the last episode it turns out that he keeps predicting Charlie's death and as all good horror movie watchers/sci-fi lovers know, if you're supposed to die, the universe will get you. *sniff* I don't want Charlie to die though!!! Nooo!!!! So Charlie spends a lot of time moping, trying to get Desmond to reveal when he's gonna die, mope some more, and help with the car until Hurley comes up with the random idea of pushing the car he's found down a hill with him and Charlie inside. Half way down Hurley will attempt to start the car and as he puts it, he and Charlie are both cursed so they will either win or die. And at least this way they'll have fun doing it. So Charlie agrees and they *do* get the car started which means that both Charlie and Hurley have a little good luck for once and have some fun, so at least if Charlie is gonna die, his last remaining days on the island are full of fun times with Hurley.
Boone Carlysle: So far, from what we've seen, Boone is a bit... how shall i put this... out of place. He's obviously not used to the basic way of living. He and his stepsister Shannon have an unsual bond. Ok so Boone killed his nanny age six (this appears to also be a crursed number as it has turned up several times and there are SIX other cursed numbers) Now Boone has died, we are beginning to wonder how many more deaths it will take for them to get off the island. Turns up in a vision in the third episode of series three (6) and warns Locke that he must clean up his own mess. OMIGOD. The island is so random.
Shannon Rutherford: From what we've seen so far she's a bit spoilt and hasn't bothered to do anything except sunbathe. Uhhh, your trapped ona desert island with the only boys insight being, Boone (hmmm) Charlie (I swear I will cry if she's goes for him) Locke (bit old, no offence) Sayid (again not quite her type but still she goes for him! noooooo) Hurley (again with the crying!) and a bunch of others which I could name but we all know won't look at Shannon in that way. The only person she's had any connection with is Sayid, translating what appears to be the song that matches the tune in the music box that the frech woman had. (Oh that had a sad eding. Charlie crying... sniff...) I think sh'es another one of those characters who has a few flaws but is basically a nice person. If she bit her tongue and thought before she spoke then maybe she wouldn't upset the other islanders...
OMG from the episode last week it looks like Shannon gets Sayid done for leaving his bag in the waiting area! She's so cruel until she gets on the island! Shannon seems to be opening up now and maybe if she wasn't so stubborn she'd be able to cope on the island.... NOOOOO!!!! We finally had a flashback that revealed Shannon as being hard faced because it's the only way she could survive and then she went and died on us! Not only was I begining to like her but now Sayid is off into a pit of despair... What was I saying about deaths earlier?
Sayid Jarrah: Was originally a soldier in the Iraq republican guard. He was once forced to torture an old school friend who apparently used to push him in the mud (ok...). He helped her escape by shooting a fellow officer then shooting himself and telling her that if anyone asked him "You struggled, got the gun off me, shot my fellow officer, shot me and ran". Nadia handed him picture which has written on the back. "I will meet you again. In the next life if not in this one". Awww.... only trouble is, they're DEFINATLY not going to meet...unless Sayid dies (I hope not). Ok so Sayid seems to have forgotton about her now and moved onto Shannon. Sheesh these people have priorty issues. Poor old Sayid. Made to torture someone who he saw as a friend (despite the fact that his so called 'friend' raided a villiage in which Sayid had friends and family). He met Kate's dad which is another tie and other than that the only thing we really learned was that Sayid really is one of the saddest characters on the island. Turns out that Kelvin (Desmonds old button mate) was the same guy who made Sayid torture his 'friend' and basically I think the whole flipping island is in cahoots. Cue rescue mission involving boats, 'others' and being captured. He builds a big fire on the other side of the island to bring the 'others' out but instead they atack the boat where Sun is hiding. Well duh! How obvious was it that that was going to happen? Dingus. lol. So he's returned to the normal guys camp and he follows Locke and Eko into the forest. Is present for Eko's funeral, which they do in the forest and don't bother telling the rest of the camp. Now he's going with Locke after Kate so they can kick some 'other' butt.
Hugo Hurley Reyes: So far not much is known about this bubbly character. Except that he has cursed lottery numbers 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42. They've been popping up all over the place so watch out for them.
I would like to mention that he is the second of my three faveourite characters. I still can't get over his "hula" when Charlie shouted to Jack when they were playing golf "Hey Jack heads up!". Ok so when he returns to the home of the cursed numbers Lenard (the guy in th mental hospital) shouts at Hurley for using them in the lottery and tells Hurley that he has "Opened the box" now since at the end of this episode we focus in on the hatch, on the side of which the numbers are carved we begin to wonder. When Lenard says box, is he talking about the hatch? And if so, what exactly is the bad thing lurking inside? The newst flash back revealed that Hurley's friends apparently resented him for winning the lottery and thus he lost them. To be honest I can't believe his friends could be so heartless when they seemed so nice. Didn't stop me being really upset for poor old fun time Hurley though... OMG. So how freaky was 'Dave'? Ok, ok, ok <hypervetilates> not only was I not expecting that to be the reason Hurley was in the psych ward, but I guessed Dave wasn't real! Oh yeah, how good are my psychic powers dammnit! Ok, so it wasn't really hard to guess, but some of the things Dave said were kinda freaky. Maybe the island really is just in Hurley's mind... but that'd be too simple (as complicated and crazy as that sounds) and the writers of Lost wouldn't tell us the ending like that. Unless it's a double bluff! But if they thought we'd think that then maybe... AARRRGGGHH!!!! They're too good!!! Oh yeah, and turns out Libby's a pshyco, figures really. Did you notice the face she pulled when Hurkey stepped back from the edge? Poor old Hurley 'I'm sorry I forgot the blankets Libby, I'm really sorry I forgot the blankets' <sniff> Almost had me crying. He's loved and lost and is probably going to have to join Sayid in the depression thing. You'd've thought, wat with being cursed by the numbers, he could've had one good thing happen to him. But no a certain Michael... ahem a certain someone stood in the way. AND NOW MICHAEL THE TRAITOR IS LEADING THEM ACROSS THE ISLAND WTF? So the 'others' let Hurley go. A little weird no? Ooo that rhymed. lol. So Hurley heads home, meeting a naked Desmond on the way (cue weird conversation and funniness) lol. Hurley then gets Deja vu at the end of the episode and it seems there's something going on with Desmond. Hmmm... Helps pull Eko from the burning tent but that's it!!! *sniff* Poor old Hurley is scared, along with everyone else on the island, but Hurley thinks everything is his fault again and he's really missing Libby, so he goes to her grave to speak to her and then when he finds the car, he's determined to make his own luck. A couple of flashbacks show the Hurley's dad left him seventeen years previously (1+7=8) and that Hurley is brining destruction to everyone around him. Back on the island Hurley decides that his mad idea of jump starting the car is a good thing to do, because they're all scared, they might as well die or win. Luckily they win, and for another day, Hurley is happy messing around with Charlie, Sawyer and Jin
Michael Dawson: Again not much is known. He HAD a wife who died (I think they said of cancer but I'm not sure) and a son. He seems very willing to get in and help which has led to him having a bit of a scrap with Jin. However this has led to them working grudgingly together on the raft and unwittingly creating a friendship. Both seem to get annoyed by Sawyer and I think this is one of the things they have in common. But Michael is unwilling for his son to go off with Locke. I wonder why? Does he know something we don't about the mad guy who seems to like the island? And why does Locke appear more and more evil as the show progresses? Has dissappeared off into the jungle after Walt. Apparently (according to the 'others') he hasn't found his son, so where exactly has Michael got to? Is he dead? Has he found a way off the island and now can't get back? Did the monster get him? Or has something much more sinister happened? Well the head strong idiot returns. Only to collapse in front of Jack and Kate and stop any loveiness. Wayda ruin a moment Michael!! OMG Not only has he now killed Ana and Libby, he's set Henry Gale free, messed up the islanders lives and is convinced the 'others' will let him have WAlt if he keeps delivering people to them. You stupid twit. I can't believe you are that narrow minded that you think the 'others' will give Walt up that easily. OMG THE TRAITOR. HE KILLED AND NOW LEAD FOUR MORE PEOPLE INTO DANGER!!!!!!
Walter Lloyd: Not much is known about the ten year old except that he wants to be able to settle down in a home. He appears to have extrodinary unatural powers. For example there was a polar bear on the front of his comic right before they met one in the jungle, his dad told him he'd find Vincent the dog as soon as it stopped raining and lo and behold it did as soon as the words were out his mouth and most recently of all when Walt and Hurley were playing backgammon Walt seemed to be able to get exactly the number he neede everytime. Pure luck? I don't think so... Now we know so! It appears that birds, more polar bears, knives; Walt has done something with them all and given Locke a warning about the hatch (which seems to have bought nothing but misfortune and death) yet Locke still seems set on opening the stupid thing. And most recently before they went to leave on the raft Walt gave Vincennt to Shannon saying that the dog helped him when his Mum died. Now after a moments frown Shannon assumes that Walt means the dog will help her over Boone's death, but the way Walt put emphasis on the word MUM makes me think that his psychic powers have told him that Shannon's mum is also dead. Has been kidnapped by the 'others' and hasn't been seen since. From what we've seen the 'others' are fond of kids and from the trailing feet and teddy bear seen by Jin and Eko the 'others' haven't hurt the children. Yet. But what exactly do they want with them?
Jin Kwon: Ok, so we know he worked for Sun's father. We know he came back one night covered in blood. We know he was fairly violent. A murderer? No. He did however beat someone up and, because he was ashamed of him, pretended his father was dead. Turns out the the flight to L.A was the Kwon's fresh start. Turned out to be fresher than they expected. It seems Jin is not as dumb as he looks. He understands quite a bit of English and knows that Sayid and Sun are lying to him about the plan and that Sun betrayed him (ooo hello) and that he doesn't care as long as he is with Sun and the baby and they are all ok. Jin is having to learn English, whcih he's progressing very well with. He helps, Hurley with the car he's found and has fun with his old mate Sawyer, and little lost boy Charlie.
Sun Kwon: Learnt English in secret so as not to anger her supposedly violent husband Jin, then planned to run away but instead caught the fateful flight 815 with her husband. Apparently it was their way of starting over. Dude these people seriously need to think things through. Anyway it has been revealed to everyone know that she speaks English and she has also given Jin a book to help him learn English when he goes off on the raft. Awww sweet. He'll be back mind you (guessing) but I don't think the island will let them get away on something so primitive as a raft... Guess I was right. But do the 'others' work for the island? Or something completly different? Wow, Sun is pregnant (yet another prediction made by moi, I thank you!) but is the baby Jin's (unlikely when he can't concieve, but then Locke never thought he'd walk again and Rose thought she was gonna die. Lost is obviously one of those programme's where the 'never say never' rule applies) or is it the child of someone else? Her english teacher maybe? Or Michael? But surely we'd've seen that in the backstory or on the island? Wouldn't we? Well it seems that it may well be the English teacher who is the father of baby Kwon. The English teacher who dies because he fell/was chucked from a fifty floor building onto Jin's car. Oooo.... interesting. Seems Jin knows about the betrayal but doesn't care as long as Sun and the baby are with him and Ok. Awww sweet. Sun also manages to take out one of the 'others' when she's escaping from the overrun boat. Yes, one down, only about forty to go. Sun decides that she will only speak to Jin in English from no on so that he can learn and not feel so isolate, something Jin finds annoying at first, but quickly thanks his wife for when it brings him closer to Sawyer, Hurley and Charlie.
Claire Littleton: The third of my three favourite characters, pregnant Claire was going to try and make things work because her boyfriend (Tom) suggested they did. About seven months down the line the boyfriend decided he couldn't face it so poor Claire was left with one option for her situation. Adoption. Her friend decided to take her to a psychic for a little light relief as Claire loves all that spooky stuff. But the psychic is unnerved by what he sees and refuses to continue. However Claire returns a second time and the psychic agrees. He warns her that the baby MUST be bought up by her at all costs. She is under no circumstances to have it adopted and when she doesn't believe the psychic and tries to have her baby adopted spooky events begin. First she can't sign the papers because every pen she touches mysteriously runs out of ink, then she can hear the cry of a baby and runs out the court room. She returns to the Psychic and agrees to his plan of taking a flight to supposedly meet a couple willing to adopt. Little does she know that the psychic has already predicted the plane crash. Once on the island it is several weeks before she figures this out, with a little help from Charlie, only to be kidnapped by the mystious Ethan Rom. When she returns Claire has no memory of ever being on the island the only thing she remembers is being on the plane. Not good. So little by little Charlie has helped her peice together little snipets of information. Then Claire goes into labour and the fun really begins... Great, now annoyed with Charlie over lying about the drugs in the statue Claire is begining to push him away. NOOO. LOCKE (THE EVIL BW(IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT A BW IS, IT'S WHAT CHARLIE CALLS LOCKE IN EPISODE TWELVE)) IS MUSCLING IN ON CHARLIE'S TERRITORY!! GET "LOST"!!! GRRRR!!!!! Ok so episdoe 15 Materinty Leave gave us a glimpse into the missing two weeks in Claire's life on the island. Ethan apparently adopted the figure of a fatherly role and helped Claire until the 'others' were ready to literally cut Aaron out of her. The weird thing is that I actually wrote a story about Lost where Claire remembered what happened to her and I described the same corridors and hospital rooms that were featured in this ep! Eek. I'm too good. Cue appearence of a familiar looking fifteen year old girl. Hmm wonder who that is then? SHE KISSED CHARLIE!!!!! SHE KISSED CHARLIE!!!! WOOT!!! HAPPY HOBBITS MAKE ME HAPPY!!!! Lol.
She's playing happy families and goes to fetch medical supplies but apart from that does not really feature in episode three. Aww...She is a little freaked when Desmond tells her there's a problem with her roof, until the storm hits and he's proven right... then she's just mega freaked.... This bolt of lightning was orginally destined to hit Charlie (presumably when he went to fix Claire's roof) and in this weeks episode, Claire almost drowns out in the rip tide, making it look like it's Claire marked for death. But Desmond tells us otherwise...
Aaron "Turnip-Head" Littleton: Apparently this kid is a sign of hope for the survivors. But being born on the same day Boone dies? Something about that seems odd. (By the way, for those of you who are wondering, it's Charlie that has given the nickname 'Turnip-Head" to the baby. Well Claire did take a LONG time to name him). Also for some strange reason Aaron Littleton has taken an unsual shine to Sawyer's voice? (Why? Of all the people why Sawyer?) Ok Sawyer's not that bad, but why him? It just strikes me as odd. Oh and please say that he dislikes Locke. I really can't bear the fact that Locke is muscling in on Charlie's territory. GRRRR I HATE LOCKE!!!!!! Doesn't even appear in the third episode. Darn... He does in episode four though!!! Yay!
Rose: I'm unsure of her second name but she's the friendly dark skinned woman who held onto her husbands wedding ring and has faith that nobody in the tail end of the plane died (that's where her husband was). She comforts Charlie after Claire is kidnapped. I guessed that she had an incureable disease which has since been miraculously cured since coming to the island and how flipping right was I?!?!?! My god I scare myself. My brother was like 'No way'. I love being psychic. <grins as people run away from the mad girl>
Bernard: The fourth of the talies to have survived and made it across the island. He was reunited with his wife (at the same time Jin was reunited with Sun. All together now Awww.) and now they're just revelling in each other's company. Obviously Rose's faith was right. Her husband hadn't died. Also, when I first saw him I was like 'That's him that's Bernard' and my mum was like 'Oh I expected him to be dark skinned' and I was like 'Really? I alwasy imagined him as fair...' How freaky am I? Oh yeah! Psychinosity rules!! (Lol, that ain't even a word!
) Oh how cute was their back story? <squee> Gotta love all the love on the island!!!
Ethan Rom: At first seems to be a weedy guy who is just helping out. Later he turns out to be a nasty guy who kidnaps Charlie and Claire. Personally I don't think He's human. When Jack, Kate, Boone and Locke go after them they end up splitting up and Jack and Kate follow Charli'es trail. On the way Jack bangs his head and supposedly see Ethan (though it's not entirly clear whether he imagined it or not) and Ethan tells him to stop following him or else he will kill one of his captives. They later find Charlie hung up in a tree and have to revive him. Ok so in Maternity Leave he's scarily nice. It's odd the way he cares for Claire and when you start to peice things together I'm starting to come to the conclusion that perhaps Claire is the only one MEANT to be there. After all there were loads of things stopping people getting on the plane/making them change their flight from a different one to 815 and all the junk. Hmmm... Apparently, according to Ben, Ethan was the 'others' Doctor.
Anna Lucia Cortez: Not much is known except that she sat in seat 42F (not only is it a cursed number but it was also in the tail end of the plane). Jack offered to swap his seat which was 23A. So he has met her. The strange thing about Anna Lucia is that her name contains 15 letters (cursed number) and that when her name is turned around (as they are put on the flight manifest I.e. Sheppherd, Jack, Austen, Kate) her name is Lucia, Anna, which abbreviates to L.A which is where the plane was heading. Coincidence? Could be, but in Lost is anything really coincidence? Ok so after her first flashback, the first of the 'Talies', we know she used be a cop and was shot whilst she was pregnant, thus causing her to loose the baby and go a bit mental whenever she hears a baby cry. I wonder how she'll react when she gets properly aquainted with Aaron? Anyhoo, she shot Shannon (woops) and is living on the outskirts of the camp, with only Jack as regular company, much to Kate's dismay and Sawyer's delight after his love proclomation. So she had sex with Sawyer to get the gun, which in turn led to her death. If only she hadn't taken it and hadn't handed it over to psycho Michael the she and Libby would still be alive... <sniff>
Eko: Ok so Eko was quite a bad guy before he arrived on the island and now he's here, he's kept up the adopted appearence of a preist given to him by his brother. Although who can blame his dark streak when he had to kill a guy when he was a boy just to save his younger brother Yemi from doing it? Hey... the odd brother, does wrong... deals with drugs... ends up attatched to the plane on the island... anyone noticing the conection between Eko and Charlie here?
Hmm... we shall have to watch Eko, his blood covered jesus stick and marked trees very carefully. So Richard Malkin, fake psychic had a daughter who supposedly drowned and then came back to life... but not before talking to Eko's brother Yemi.... hmmm... interesting... HE'S STILL ALIVE!!! YAY!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOO! More flashbacks showing how Eko tried to save the church that Yemi looked after and failed miserably. Then he wandered into the forest to be beaten to death by the smoke monster. NOOOOOOOO!!! Three of the talies dead... only one to go...
Libby: We know she's a shrink but that's about it. However with her close attraction to Hurley I'm sensing something. Psychiatrist and she just happens to become close to the one person on the island who's been in a mental hospital? Me thinks there's a connection.
Oh yes... tis very fishy. She also seems to be a very unstable person. One minute she's fine then she's flying off the walls (but after being terrorized by the 'others' who wouldn't be?) Also, after Cindy disappeared Libby started carrying round her stuff. Ok... (weirdo alert)... Ok, so Libby was in the psyche ward too. For some reason my psycho alert is going off... OMG she's dead. WITH NO BACKSTORY??? Come on she's gotta be in more of Hurley's backstory, maybe we'll find out why she was in the psyche ward? OMG!!! She was in Desmonds backstory!!!! But she used her full name Elizabeth, had weird hair and claimed to have a dead husband called David (Dave, Hurley's imaginary friend?) Interesting.
Alex: The sixteen year old girl (oh yes, what I guess I made!) has made another mention. She was the one who shoved Kate out after she was kidnapped by the 'others'. The same Alex or a different one? This is lost people it's got to be the freaky french chicks kid. Ok, ok, ok! OMG!!! Not only did I guess Alex's gender correctly, right, but I also got the hair and eye colour correct! MY GOD I'M JUST TOO GOOD!!!! WOOT! Looks like she's attempting to bust out Kate and Sawyer. Yes, go french chick's daughter!! Stormed into the 'others' camp and started shouting at Kate nad Sawyer to run because the 'others' were going to kill Kate's boyfriend like they killed hers. Like they killed Karl. She helps Kate and Sawyer escape from the island with Karl and gets them to safety. But she has to stay behind because the only way her 'dad' will let Karl live is if Alex is there when he wakes up. Does this mean Ben has offspring?? Or is it someone else?
Nathan and Goodwin: One was believed to be an 'other' and wasn't. The other was an 'other' but was believed to be inoccent. Nathan was killed by Goodwin before Ana could figure out she was torturing the wrong man and then when Ana figured out it was Goodwin she killed him (in self deffence). I think the thing that kept people guessing til the end was the fact that NaTHAN (eTHAN) came from canada, same place as Ethan Rom. Course the fact that Goodwin was so clued up and the fact that I'm just brilliant meant that I suspected Goodwin from the start.
Ben 'Henry Gale': Was travelling in a balloon. With his now dead wife. I'm still unsure as to whether he really is an other or not. Either way though he's sturing things up in the camp by telling Locke 'You shouldn't let Jack call the shots'. STIRER! STIRER! STIRER! Oh yes, Mr 'I'm so freaky' is an other. Oh, yeah, stir things up for Locke and Jack and maybe they'll kill each other. Or just really piss each other off.... either way is good!!!! Now he's gone, saw Michael shoot himself and fled back to his own people. But will they be as recieving as the planies? I have to say I like this guy, despite him being an 'other' and the reason Libby and Ana are dead, he stirred things up between Jack and Locke and that I like. Turns out his real name is Ben and he enjoys torturing Jack, hates Stephen King (epscially the book 'Carrie') and is all round an evil person .I like it.
OMG Ben is so evil, I love his torture methods!!! Oooo takes Jack to Colleen's funeral... and is annoyed that Juliette let Jack see his x-rays. Is currently on the operating table as his life hangs in the balance and Jack frees Kate and Sawyer. Has been saved by Jack. Hmmm, does this mean he will release Jack? Or not since Jack used Ben's condition to help free Kate and Sawyer?
Desmond: Ok so we know he was thrown in jail for disobeying navy(?) rules. Took a book with him which he wants to be the last one he reads before he dies. Was paid by his girlfriend Penelope's dad to stay away from her. The Dad worked for some company connected with hanso or dharma or something. Desmond used the money to buy Libby's boat to take him round the world on a trip he never finished. He's actually a very sad character and I relly kinda wished he'd never got dragged onto the island, but at the same time if he hadn't we'd've never destroyed the hatch.
Oh yes, he's still alive somehow knew about Locke's save the others from the 'others' speech before it happened. Is he another character who has visions or is something amiss? Me thinks Desmond has freaky powers!!! Oh yes, let's hear it for psychonicity!!! Follows Sayid, who follows Locke, who follows Eko into the forest. Is present for Locke's funeral but does not actually have a line in the episode. Annoying...OOOOOO! Desmond reveals what happend to him in thsat Hatch and if you've ever watched the movie 'The Butterfly Effect' you'll understand why it's so freaky. Desmond also reveals that Charlie is destined to die!!! NOOOO!!!! I love Desmond, but I love Charlie and don't want him to die!!!
Danny Pickett: Just a random 'other' who's wife was killed by Sun. Was shot by Juliet when Karl, Kate and Sawyer were trying to escape with the help of Alex.
Colleen Pickett: Random 'other' killed by Sun.
Juliet: The 'other' who looks after Jack. She apparently hates Ben and wants Jack to let him die on the operating table. But who should Jack trust? We got some backstory. Quite interesting, we learn that some of the others apparently killed her ex husband, she managed to get her sister pregnant despite the risk of having cancer(?) and that they took her three years two months and eighteen (23) days ago. She instructs Jack to save Ben because Ben promises her that she can finally 'go home'. Yeah right...
Karl: A person apparently being held captive by the 'others', but is a good friend of Alex. Ok, boyfriend of Alex and is now dead according to Alex who stormed into the 'others' camp and started shouting at Kate to run. He was rescued from some kind of brain washing facility by Alex, Kate and Sawyer and is now going to join the Planies on the other island. It seems that the 'others' have to keep the adolescents and children locked up until their brainwashing is complete. Or at least that's what I can gather...
Random Extras: Why the hell are random people from the plane getting lines now? It really annoys me because I don't know their names. Poo. Now the two random extras follow Desmond, who followed Sayid, who followed Locke, who followed Eko into the forest. Were present for Eko's funeral. Were seen again in this episode, with more lines!!! OMG. They reject Hurley's idea of the car. Well piss off and sink into the background then!!!
Ok, so far I think that Ethan Rom is most DEFINATLY NOT human. Walt MOST DEFINATLY has superhuman powers. Maybe Claire's baby will too??? How did Hurley get his nickname??? So many questions and we've only watched one series!!! Ok, so I've watched five episodes of the second series and let me tell you not much gets answered to be honest. Like we still don't kow how Locke came to be in his wheelchair. So, what is up with the whole island thing? Well lets put it this way, my overall theory is closer to the truth than anyone could've believed. I've pretty much cracked Lost and can't wait to see how the creators play it out. I won't put my theory down 'cause I'm spoiler friendly, and you wouldn't believe me even if I told you. Lol.
Ok, ok, ok. Don't panic. Series three has been bought by sky, which I don't have. Ok, so I panicked. But no more. My Grandad (the single most fantastic person in the world) has recorded the episodes and is sending them each week!!! WOOT!!!!! Which means I've seen episodes one and two!!!! YAY!!!!! So never fear I will still be updating this page, although if you haven't seen the series, obviously, don't read cause of spoilers.
Ok, because I'm so freakishly good I'm gonna make a list of predictions I made that came true and predictions yet to be proved. (Whether you believe I made the predictions is up to you, cause I haven't got proof).
1. Alex's gender.
2. Alex's hair and eye colour.
3. Suns pregnancy.
4. Kate's father situation.
5. Dave not existing.
6. Rose's disease.
7. Claire's home for two weeks.
8. Goodwin is an other.
9. Libby was in the psyche ward.
10. Libby and Hurley kiss.
11. Libby's death.
12. The hatch being an experiment.
13. Richard Malkin being a fake psychic. (I also think he's in cahoots with Dharma/the island and that's how he knew the plane was gonna crash, but that hasn't been confirmed. Yet)
14. Charlie and Claire hold hands at someone's funeral. Yes another death. Who's, I'm not sure. Well I am now, but I don't wanna tell ya 'cause it's a spoiler.
15. Sawyer is a father, and the baby is a girl. (God I am good.)
16. Ben is the 'other' with a tumor on his back. (Oh yeah! Go me!)
17. Bernard's skin colour.
18. Alex's dad (Ben maybe) being with the 'others' and not actually killed by Rousseau.
Kate: "Get up. You're going to Jack."
Sawyer: "Do I get a Lollipop?"
--------------------------------------------------
Hurley: "Dude, looks like someone steamrolled Harry Potter!"
---------------------------------------------------
Hurley: "Maybe that thing in the jungle is a monster, or maybe it's a pissed off giraffe of something!"

Hurley: "You gotta pee on my foot! Peeeeee on it. Pee on my foot!"
--------------------------------------------------
Walt: "You owe me twenty thousand dollars!"
Hurley: "You'll get it!"
------------------------------------------------
Sawyer: "So a tribe of evil natives planted a ringer in the camp to kidnap a pregnant girl and a reject from 'VH1 Has-Beens'...yeah, feindishly clever. And why am I getting the evening news from a 6 year old?"
Walt: "I'm ten!"
Sawyer: “Ok, then it must be true.”
----------------------------------------------
Shannon: "I am soooooooooo not moving to the rape caves!"
---------------------------------------------
Sayid: "We need something to replace his weight on the trigger."
Charlie: "Replace his weight? How're we going to do that?"
Hurley: "Hey!"
--------------------------------------------
Hurley: "Dude, I'm worth $156,000,000"
-------------------------------------------
Jack: "Alright, you two stay put right there. We’re going to find a way around, and we’ll meet you there."
Hurley: "Nah, screw that. You guys stay. There’s a path right here."
------------------------------------------
Charlie: "Well, uh, really appreciate you helping me out. Thanks."
Hurley: "Hey, anything that keeps me far away from that fuselage. And that freakin’ redneck jerk.”
(takes a lunge at a fish and misses)
Hurley: “Ahh! Damn it! Carp! Crap! Son of a-”
Charlie: “You want me to have a go?”
Hurley: “Knock yourself out.”
------------------------------------------
Hurley: "No you cannot have peanut butter for the cute blonde and her poor island baby"
------------------------------------------
Boone: “Have you been using that wacky paste stuff that made me see my sister get eaten?"
------------------------------------------
Sawyer: "It ate all our stuff?"
Kate: "Nope. It ate YOUR stuff. Mine’s fine."
Sawyer: "Oh, that hog is gonna suffer. I swear to god…”"
-------------------------------------------
Jack: "Hurley grab me the first-class seat from up there. Also I need that mesh. We need to create some sort of sterile--"
<Jack sees the telltale danger signs>
Jack: “Hurley, I swear to god, if you faint-”
Hurley: “No. First-class, mesh. I’m cool.”
------------------------------------------------
The first episode when at night all the passengers are staring into the forest listening to the noise the monster makes and watching it knock trees over.
Charlie (sarcastically): “Terrific.”
--------------------------------------------------
Kate: “I’ve never worn pink.”
Sawyer: “God Damn.”
(Takes a drink)
----------------------------------------------------
Claire: “There’s someone in there.”
Sayid: “Everyone in there’s dead.”
Jack: “Sawyer…”
Sawyer: “Right behind you jackass.”
------------------------------------------------------
Jack: “Look, it’s unlikely that he’ll regain conciouness, but the pain might bring him around, and if it does, I need you to hold him down.”
Hurley: “Uh… I’m not so good around blood, man.”
Jack: “Then don’t look.”
Hurley: “Yeah, but… I’m not so good around blood.”
Jack: “Just do the best you can, ok?”
<Hurley holds the marshal down>
Jack: “Don’t look.”
Hurley: “Ok.”
<Jack pulls the metal out>
Hurley: “Dude-“
Jack: “Hand me those strips.”
Hurley: “Dude…”
Jack: “Just hand me the strips I need to get this bleeding stopped!”
Hurley: “I don’t think I can…”
Jack: “Oh…”
Hurley: “Oh, what- what? What’s going on?”
<Hurley glances at the marshal>
Jack: “Hand me the strips! Just hand me the strips! Give it to me!”
<Jack glances at Hurley and recognises the signs>
Jack: Hey, don’t you even think about it, Hurley. Don’t you even think about it-“
<Hurley faints>
Jack: “Hurley, hey! Damn it!”
---------------------------------------------------------
Jack: “If we can’t live together, we’re going to die alone.”
----------------------------------------------------------
Boone: “Are you sure? That’s exactly what I was doing. I’m a lifeguard. I’m licensed.”
Jack: “Yeah, well, you need to seriously think about giving that licence back.”
------------------------------------------------------------
Charlie: “Might be monkey’s.”
Sawyer: “Sure it’s monkey’s. It’s Monkey Island…”
-----------------------------------------------------------
Charlie: “I heard you shout. I heard you shout “Jack”. I’m Charlie, by the way.”
------------------------------------------------------------
Charlie: “Pardon me for appearing desperate, but before the pilot was ripped from the cockpit, he did say that no one’s gonna find us unless we get that transceiver working—so, is there anything?”
-------------------------------------------------------------
Hurley: “Hey, Guy, are you awake? Yo, there’s a rescue plane! We’re saved! Yay! Yeah, he’s out.”
<referring to the marshal>
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Jack: “You either have very good aim…or very bad aim.”
<Glances at Sawyer>
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Shannon: “What’s a four letter word for ‘I don’t care’?”
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Kate: “Hey, Charlie, ask Jack about his tatoo’s.”
Charlie: “Oh, you guys have an inside joke. How absolutely wonderful for you both.”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
<Sayid shouts something to Sun>
Sawyer: “A little louder, Omar. Maybe then she’ll understand you.”
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Kate: “Where’d they come from?”
<referfering to the people in the cave>
Jack: “Didn’t you guy’s shoot a polar bear last week?”
Kate: “Yeah.”
Jack: “Where’d that come from?”
------------------------------------------------------------------
Charlie: “You two run away fantastically. Glad my diversion spared you. I was only stung several hundred times. Oh and…uh someone left this.”
<hands Kate’s shirt to her rather huffily>
Kate: “It was…uh… full of bees.”
Charlie: “I’d’ve thought C’s actually.”
<Kate rolls her eyes>
Charlie: “Sorry.”
------------------------------------------------------------------
Jack: “I’m gonna kill him.”
<referring to Sawyer>
Kate: “That’s not gonna help us get the medicine.”
Jack: “Maybe not, but it’ll feel good.”
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Sawyer: “Ow! Easy, jackass.”
Jack: “You want it easy, quit moaning. I got to change these bandages.”
Sawyer: “Yeah, well, try not taking my skin off with them.”
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Sullivan (random extra): “Doc, what do you think this is,--this-this, uh, rash? It’s bad, right? Like some kind of tropical disease?”
Jack: “It’s hives.”
Sullivan: “What’s that? Is that like poison ivy?”
Jack: “It’s a common rash, sometimes bought on by heat and stress.”
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Hurley: “Yeah, well, that’s like my point, man. We’re all fried. I mean, have you taken a look at everybody out there? Everybody’s way tense. Dude, I’m just saying, it’d be sweet if we could have… I don’t know something to do.”
Jack: “We’re surviving here, Hurley. And that’s my main concern is keeping us alive. Things could be worse.”
<Hurley thinks about this>
Hurley: “How?”
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hurley: “Dudes, listen. Our lives suck. Everyone’s nerves are stretched to the max. I mean, we’re lost on and island, running from boars and monsters… freakin’ polar bears!”
Michael: “Polar bears?”
Charlie: “You didn’t hear about the polar bears?”
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Michael: “This is a problem, man.”
Jack: “Yeah.”
Michael: “I mean, I know what I would do, but… it’s gonna be your call.”
Jack: “Ok. Give me a 7-iorn.”
<they’re playing golf>
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Boone: “You’re never gonna believe this.”
Shannon: “You finally learned how to tie your own shoes.”
Boone: “Funny.”
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Jack: “Ah, new plan. You’re gonna just sink your way right off the island. Sayid would be proud.”
<referring to Kate who’s stood in the shallows>
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Charlie: “Dear diary, still on the bloody island. Today I swallowed a bug. Love, Claire.”
<trying to cheer Claire up>
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Sawyer: “Oh, of course. ‘I don’t need protecting. I can take care of myself.’ ‘Me Kate. Me throw rock.’”
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Michael: “If you pick the lock on a Halliburton, I’ll put you on my back and fly us to L.A.”
Sawyer: “You better find yourself a runway, Daddy. ‘Cause there ain’t a lock I can’t pick.”
Hurley: “What’s he trying to do?”
Michael: “Pick the lock on a Halliburton.”
Hurley: “Good luck.”
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Sawyer: “Impact velocity… physics my ass.”
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Jack: “What have you been eating?”
Hurley: “You know, the usual—bananas, papayas, mangoes… guava, passion fruit…coconut, some of those weird star fruits from up on the hill. Someone said they’d be good for digestion. Let me tell you, they lied.”
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Jack: “Yeah? You two have been attached at the hip all week.”
Locke: “Well, let me just check my hip. Nope, no Boone.”
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Hurley: “Over the lips, past the gums, yada, yada… oh god!”
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Jack: “How’re you doing, Charlie?”
Charlie: “How am I doing? With week two of heroin withdrawal, or how am I doing with Claire being abducted by the freak who tried to kill me?”
Jack: “I gave you the aspirin for the heroin, Charlie.”
----------------------------------------------------------------
Hurley: “You want to wish something on your worst enemy? Hope they step on a sea urchin.”
----------------------------------------------------------------
Hurley: “Dude, I know how this works. This is gonna end with you and me running through the jungle, screaming and crying. He catches me first because I’m heavy and I get cramps.”
---------------------------------------------------------------
Kate: “It’s simple. You can’t track this boar without my help. Over the last few hours… you have managed to follow the tracks of humans, birds, a rock-slide, yourself—basically everything except boar. You have no idea what you’re doing.”
--------------------------------------------------------------
Hurley: “Dude! Do not do that right now! Leave the bulb for another time, man.”
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Sawyer: “Man’s got what I call an overzealous work ethic.”
Michael: “Try obsession. He wants off this island bad, man.”
Sawyer: “Can’t say I blame Kato. His lady speaks English all this time, and he didn’t have a clue? I’m surprised he didn’t try to swim out of here.”
----------------------------------------------------------------
Charlie: “Hey, Locke, you have a message? It’s going on the raft. You know, ‘Dear Mom, everything’s fine, I’m on the island—unless, of course, the black smoke people turn up. Love’ –- your name here. When they get rescued, they can contact your family.”
------------------------------------------------------------------
Hurley: “Let me ask you something, Arnzt…”
Leslie Arzt: “Arzt.”
Hurley: “Arnzt.”
Leslie Arzt: “No, not Arnzt. Arzt. A-R-Z-T. Arzt.”
Hurley: “Sorry, man. Your name’s hard pronounce.”
Leslie Arzt: “Oh, yeah? Well, I know a bunch of ninth graders who pronounce it just fine.”
Hurley: “How about I just call you by your first name?”
Leslie Arzt: “How about you don’t?”
Hurley: “Why not? I remember it from the plane’s manifest. I think Leslie’s a bitchin’ name.”
Leslie Arzt: “Arnzt is fine.”
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hurley: “Uh, where’s Arnzt?”
Leslie Arzt: “That’s Arzt, you idiot.”
Hurley: “Dude, I thought you were dead.”
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hurley: “How exactly does something like this happen?”
Danielle Rousseau: “Are you on the same island as I am?”
Hurley: “Well, I guess that explains it.”
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Jack: “What?”
Hurley: “You got some… Arnzt on you.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hurley: “Great idea, you two—go look into the burning death hole.”
