Dick and Dom are a t.v. comedy duo who currently present "Dick and Dom in Da Bungalow". It has been running for four years now and in the past they've also done "Dick and Dom's Ask The Family" which I was on! Woot! We won 220 points to 90. Oh yeah! Go us! Ok gloating over. So anyway they're pretty cool, bubbly, bouncy, excitable, and basically fun to be with.
There famous quote "Bafta award winning that!" has some truth behind it. They do in fact have two bafta's.
Richard McCourt "Dick": Born on the twelfth of August Dick is the slightly sillier of the two, not really bothered when the kids mess up da Bungalow. Always up for a laugh he's always there for Dom, even if it is just to remind Dom that he is smaller.
Dominic Wood "Dom": Born on the 3rd of Jan Dom is the more sensible of the duo, he tends to put his foot down (and rightly so) when the kids start beating him up. He stands up for Dick when he's getting his butt kicked and tends to be a very laid back, full of laughs guy. Dom is dyslexic but deals with it and Dick doesn't tease him, there just there for each other when they need it.
For all you soap fans out there I've put this little corner of my website aside just for you (of course that's only if you like Corrie). Obviously being a soap the programme is on every other day so rather than having to update all the time I'll just give you a run down on my favourite characters. Sean Tully: At the moment the street's only gay. He's sweet, funny, a friend to all and basically all round nice. He's friends with all the girls at the factory and Violet, who works behind the bar. Violet and Sean have know each other a long time and are always there to help each other out.
Ashley Peacock: First wife Maxine was murdered by the notorious Richard Hillman and so grieving Ashley had to bring up a child that wasn't his own. (Maxine had an affair you see.) When it became to much for Ashley he hired nanny Claire but it wasn't long before the two fell in love and became the perfect family with not only Joshua but another little Peacock on the way as well.
Claire Peacock: The loving nanny who looked after Joshua and soon captured the heart of her employer. Though both Claire and Ashley thought it improper for them to start a relationship it wasn't long before the two realised that trying to stay apart was only causing them pain and they ended up together. Claire is now expecting her own addition to the family.
Craig Harris: This unfortunate teenager has probably gone through more in the past two years than any other person has in their life. First off him and his family (Mum= Angela Dad= Tommy and Sister= Katie) had to move to Weatherfield due to a witness protection campaign. Angela had seen a crime, given evidence and now the families of those involved were after the Harris' family. Once they had dealt with that little incident (where Tommy was shot, but recovered), the family's crisis only got worse. Katie started dating Martin, a man old enough to be her dad, and Tommy wasn't happy. So after many fights that poor Craig had to try and live with Katie did the worst thing possible. She took a spanner and wacked her dad over the head killing him instantly. Katie was then so shocked by what she'd done (she'd only meant to hurt him, not kill him), that she commited suicide, leaving Angela to explain why she'd covered up for Katie and not told the police who'd really killed Tommy. So Angela went to prison for "diverting the course of justice" and now poor Craig (who's gone goth because he doesn't see the point in happiness anymore) has to live with his grandad Keith Appleyard. His only companion throughout the trauma was his girlfriend Rosie Webster. Looks like the pair are set to stay together for a long time.
Chesney Battersby-Brown: Another of Weatherfields unfortunate children. His mum couldn't care less and even tried to seel Chesney's dog Schmichael to make a bit of money. His sister Fizz is usually the one who ends up caring for Chesney and is constantly warning Les what a bad mother Cilla is. So ten year old Chesney spends most of his time with Kirk who was the one that gave Schmichael to him.
Shelly Unwin: You've heard the expression lucky in love right? Well Shelly is about as far away from this as possible. Her first relationship was a disaster. Peter Barlow turned out to be a bigamist meaning Shelly's wedding was a sham. The control freak Charlie turned Shelly into such a bad aggraphobic that she wouldn't even come out of her room. But several months on from her ordeal Shelly is coping, both new friends and old helping her.
Rosie Webster: She was born in the back of a taxi on Christmas Eve. Her life was alwasy going to be that dramatic wasn't it? lol Tried to pursue a life of fame but when her mum became a little too pushey Rosie backed out, causing her mum to lfy off the handle. After a few rocky months the family settled down again, enter Ian Davenport and an affair with Sally, Rosie's mum. Rosie found out but in order to keep her fmaily together promised to keep her mums secret. However with her own relationship with Craig stepping up a level Sally has decided Rosie should stop seeing him. It's only a matter of time before Rosie blackmails Sally in order to see her boyfriend again.
Sophie Webster: She's Rosie's younger sister and trust me, when these two let fly at each other you really can TELL they are sisters. The catfights they've had with each other are sometimes hard to imagine. Neglected by her parents Sophie has become best mates with Chesney and has slipped into the background while her elder sister gets all the attention, both good and bad.
Violet Wilson: Poor Violet. From the moment she set eyes on Jason Grimshaw their relationship was set to be a disaster. Several months on and Violet is having to deal with Jasons betrayal while struggling to say "no" as ncely as possible to Jamie Baldwin. She is funny, sweet, and has good dress taste. She is pretty much the female version of Sean. Whish makes them the perfect best of friends.
