In the picture below you can see that I am using 3/4 plastic electrical boxes as a enclosure. They work great and can be sealed so that they will protect from the weather. The Parallax motion sensor is a perfect fit for the corner piece it wedges in there perfectly and only requires a small strip of tape or a little hot glue to hold it in place. the cable loop is so the the cable from the motion detector does not get ripped out. The cable is fed through the pipe into the lower box where it plugs into the microcontroller circuit board. 
   












At this point you can mount the battery box under the board or add the 7805 regulator circuit to the board which I will probably do. You can also get a larger box and place everything inside the box. This set up works very well. The Parallax motion sensor picked up even the slightest movement. Please email me if you have any questions. The email link on the home page.
