Some drastic changes!
Because I am so busy with Lunafans, I have come up o a conclusion that I can not devote my time equally to Hpfan-network. So, instead of the one-stop newsletter, it's going to be converted into a Harry Potter Directory, where you could find loads and loads of links to other fantastic sites!

Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe on the STARmeter
Emma has yet again, for the third year in running secured a place in the STARmeter of IMDB. She achieved #16 and Daniel Radcliffe also aquired #22. The rank is determined by how many times someone searched her name on IMDB. Last year, Emma was 1 spot ahead, at 15th place.
Emma beat out Orlando Bloom, Tom Hanks, Reese Witherspoon and the like, inspite of the fact that there was no Emma Watson movie out this year.

Killing Potter the "right thing to do" - Daniel Radcliffe
According to Daily India, Daniel Radcliffe is hoping that it will be the character to be dead who shot him to fame. As for why Dan says that, well he says that there's no other way the series could end and it is more of an "honourable and right thing to do". - As the Mirror quoted him.

Harry Potter-themed Conference Planned for Chicago
Tenbrink, 30, a Denver lawyer, is the lead organizer of a weeklong Harry Potter-themed conference planned for Chicago in August 2008. Her group visited Chicago over the weekend to scope venues and hammer out details for the conference.
They expect as many as 1,500 Harry Potter fanatics from around the world to descend on Chicago like it was Diagon Alley, the bustling street known only to the wizarding community in author J.K. Rowling's fictional London.

First OotP clippings released!!!
ABC has been running a commercial for the Harry Potter movie lineup this December. The commercial, also includes clippings from the latest Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, which is available at Hpana. The clips contain some scenes which show really good footage for a first release.

JK beats cyber-squatters
IOL is reporting that Jo has battled and beaten Iranian cyber-squatters who set up an unofficial site JKRowling.ir claiming it to be an "official JK Rowling site". However, the domain name lawyers have ruled in her favor passing the site to Jo now.

Veritaserum is reporting that the Warner Bros. have sent them the new promotional poster of the latest Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Emma speaks at Oxford
Harry Potter's Page is reporting that yesterday at Oxford University, Emma Watson gave a speech detailing what she's learnt playing Hermione, how she enjoys the Potter sets. She also talks about the future, explaining how she wants to continue her schooling and acting career.

Dan slams "bad behaviour" youth
PR-INSIDE is reporting today that Daniel is angry about recent statements blaming hooded top wearing youngsters are the reason for rising crime levels.
He says, "By having a go at the kids, the blame is wrongly apportioned. Being a teenager is not about violence."

Dan has a good time
The 17 year old star was out on a dinner with his mother, Marcia Gresham at London's Embassy club when he was faced with the embarrassing predicament and had to literally avert his eyes from the woman in hot pants. An onlooker was quoted by a tabloid as seeing Daniel grinning as he squeezed past the mystery girl after the family dinner in London's Mayfair.

David Yates talks OoP
Harry Potter's Page is reporting that Empire Magazine recently spoke to director, David Yates, producer David Heyman, and Umbridge actress, Imelda Staunton.
During the show, this is what Yates spoke about,
"The book's huge, but it actually distills quite easily," says David Yates..."That said, I've shot a movie that's probably over three hours, so I'll have to lose 45 minutes in the edit"

Helena Bonham Carter speaks of JK and Bella
Helena Bonham Carter who plays Bellatrix Lestrange said in an interview that she was delighted to play the villainous witch in the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
She said: "I think JK Rowling is a genius. And as for Bella - she is a very bad, bad, bad witch!"

Dan faces problems
Daniel Radcliffe admits being single and famous means some young ladies only want to be with him to advance their own social status.
He says, "It's always a worry, but I've got pretty good instincts for people."
"Normally, the people who are not genuine are the ones who say, 'You know I'm not just being your friend because you're Harry Potter, right?'"
"And it's like, 'Uh, fine, but if that's the case, why do you need to say that?'"
