Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

In this section of the site, I will post all the theories that you send me. My e-mail is a little ways down the page and if the link doesn't work correctly, just use your e-mail and send it in. I have also included a What We Know section. I will update that whenever we get official news on the Half Blood Prince (which from now on shall be refered to as HBP). Enjoy!

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince Theories

Here are some theories I've thought up myself:

On the subject of the Heir of Gryffindor, I'm almost positive that it's Harry. Let's look at the facts:

1: Harry was able to call Fawkes, the Sorting Hat, and Gryffindor's sword.

2: Harry's parents hid in Godric's Hollow, which may be the old residence of Godric Gryffindor.

3: DD say's only a true Gryffindor could pull the sword out of the hat. (NOTE: This can be taken two ways. Either DD meant that Harry truly belonged in Gryffindor, or he mean't that Harry was an actual Gryffindor, as in related to Godric.

I think that Dumbledore will more than likely die before the end of HBP. I think so, because this would have such an impact on Harry, and the whole wizarding world for that matter, that perhaps he would find the power to destroy Voldemort. I know, however, that if Dumbledore goes, he is going in style. He's such a powerful wizard, that I believe he will go out with a bang. I think he'll die to save Harry, though, and give Harry that boost of Love Power that he needs. Harry wont fully understand this power until the end of Book 7, where he'll use it to destroy Voldemort once and for all.

I have a theory that perhaps the HBP is none other than Professor Flitwick, the Charms teacher. I mean, I think he could be a half blood of some sort. In the movie he doesn't look human hardly (and I don't mean by shortness!). He is a character we've seen and heard from a lot, but don't really know anything about. I'm just saying it's a possibility, but I'm most likely wrong.

What we know for sure...

These are just some of the facts we know for sure about the next Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince:

It will be called Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. JK Rowling confirmed this on her official site. It was previously believed to be called The Pillar of Storge.

We will see a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher as Umbridge was chucked out finally.

We will learn more about this prophecy concerning Voldemort and Harry.

There will be more deaths, as the Wizarding World is truly at war once again.

Jo confirmed that Cornelius Fudge will be kicked out of office anf we will have a new Minister of Magic.

In either HBP or Book 7, we will learn something HUGE about Lily Evans.

Harry will learn the significance of his eyes being green.

Harry will have his shortest stay yet with the Dursleys at Number 4 Privet Drive.

HBP will almost certainly not be as long as OotP, though Jo said she wouldn't "swear on her children's lives".

The HBP is neither Harry nor Voldemort.

Mark Evans has no significance whatsoever to the plot.

The first chapter of HBP is similar to a discarded first chapter in SS/PS. She finally found a home where it would fit well with the overall story.

Harry and his friends will be in their sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

We will learn of a graveyard on the school grounds. Perhaps Harry will finally see his parents' graves.

Wormtail, who was absent from OotP, will make a reappearance and play a role in HBP.

We'll find out what Dudley saw when he was attacked by the Dementor last summer.

We will learn more about the circumstances of Voldemort's death and what led him down the path of evil.

Narcissa Malfoy will play more of a role, now that Lucius is in Azkaban.

Harry might have a little more romance in HBP, though it is confirmed that him and Cho "are over".
