FAQ This is HousewifeXcore Distro, started in January of 2004 cause I was super bored at work and hadn’t done a really serious distro in about 3 years. I first started distroing parenting, feminist and cunt health zines, but moved on to a lot of awesome shit. So who runs this place? That would be me Ari, You can find more info about me on the About Me page. Whos Ben? And why can't I order Zines and Music at the same time? Ben is one of my good friends from when I lived in Connecticut. He needed a place to sell his records besides shows, so I offered him to be in charge of the music section scince we both listen to the same music. You can't order from me since Ben and the Music are 3,000 miles away from me. I messaged you on MySpace about Zines why haven't I gotten a reply? Because, I can't have a my work scattered all over the place, it would totally confuse me. That’s why I have an email for the distro HousewifeXcore [at] Yahoo [dot] com , use it. What kind of age statement do I need? Just stating "I ,[your name here], am over 18, and was born on [enter birth date here], and by ordering this zine I am not breaking any local obscenity laws." I know its stupid but its to cover mine and the zinester's butt if the PoPo ever come wanting to bust our asses. Do you sell wholesale? No I'm a distro, not a distributor. It wouldn’t be ethical of me or fair to the zinesters if I resold to you, but if you want I can gladly give you the zinesters contact info and you can buy zines from them personally. Why are the zines more expensive in the Shopping Cart? Because Paypal thinks its cool to charge 2.9% + 30 cents for every order sent to me! And I can't afford to eat this cost up myself. Right now I'm actually still losing money on the fees and dont make a profit off of them. If you don't feel comfortable about paying more for convienence than you can send me an order by mail (i like those better anyways) Will you come speak/teach at my event/show/class? I'm in a zine collective for that called Grrrl Zines A Go-Go you should definately contact us thru there and we'll see what we can do. |
