Traditional Village House to Rent for a Holiday in the South of France

This traditional  French house is in the heart of the  medieval village of St Quentin la Poterie, near the historic Duchy of Uzes, and within easy travel of airports at Nimes and Avignon, and the sights  of Provence and the Languedoc.

Full of character, the stone-built house, dating from the 17th century, has 3 storeys with kitchen-dining room, two double bedrooms (and mezzanine with extra bed), bath and wc, and terraces on both ground and second floors. The second floor roof-terrace has views over the village rooftops to the countryside of the Gard and the mountains of the Cevennes. With thick stone walls its extremely cool in summer and keeps the heat in, in the winter. The top floor makes an ideal artists studio.

Situated in the very oldest part of the village  , the house is convenient for all local shops, 3 local village restaurants, and the 20 or so potter’s studios, which make St Quentin an internationally renowned village for ceramics and the arts. Nearby Uzes, with its markets, cafes and historic buildings, is within easy walking distance or 5 minutes by car, and the world famous Pont du Gard is nearby. To the north are the Cevennes, to the south is the Camargue and the Mediterranean, and to the east, Provence.
