(UPDATED August 08)
The Days of Gold and Nights of Gold foals will all be multi registered with two to five registrations - if you like winning ribbons and sashes, this means you can go to a show and be eligible for many events rather than just a couple. They are throwing exceptional quality horses without any of the common faults being found in many horses today, such as club hooves or offset cannons: they have good shaped hooves, well sloped pasterns, straight legs with joints that really move (lovely hock action - no 'welded hocks' or post hocks here!), they have good hindquarters and the good even shape of horses that do well at halter, lovely intelligent heads and wonderful temperaments. After the first few weeks in the foaling paddocks, the mares and foals are turned out into larger paddocks - 10 to 30 acres - where the foals can gallop over rough ground and up and down hills to ensure they develop good, sure footed action.
The foals that have been shown to date have been very successful. In 2006/07, one of the highest points earning weanling Quarter Horses in Australia was Divine Nights, who is by Nights of Gold. Some wins by Divine Nights: Supreme Quarter Horse Exhibit, Toowoomba Royal; many other Supremes, AA futurity and class wins, champions, First All Breeds Futurity at the All Breeds Qld Youngstocks Show and first Buckskin Futurity as well as Best Foal of Show at Youngstocks.
In the past few year, Days and Nights offspring have won many classes, champions and supremes under their various registrations. All three winners of the Palomino Foal, Buckskin Foal and Cremello/Perlino Foal classes at Youngstocks were by Nights of Gold. Champion Paintbred at Youngstocks was by Days of Gold. Best Dilute Foal at Youngstocks by Nights. 1st and 2nd ANSA at Youngstocks by Days. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 6th in the Buckskin Futurity 2 yrs and under at Youngstocks by Days and Nights. 1st and Placings in the big All Breeds Foal Futurity by the boys. Champion Junior ANSA exhibit at Rosewood All Breeds by Days and various other winners and place getters by both boys. Wins and champions at other shows around S.E.Qld. A buckskin yearling colt by Days out of an Arabian mare went Top 3 at The Arabian East Coast Championships. Dun Smokin, a buckskin by Days of Gold out of a Thoroughbred mare and owned by Kym Neate, was Supreme ANSA Junior Exhibit at the 2008 Toowoomba Royal Show and Best Buckskin Exhibit at the 2008 Brisbane Royal (the Ekka). There are many other outstanding wins by their offspring.
We're trying to keep prices down so that we can get these foals into show homes where they will continue to campaign the names of Days of Gold and Nights of Gold. When you take into account the cost of getting a foal to weaning: the feed, worming, vet bills etc. during pregancy and foalhood, the cost of registrations, etc. you'll understand that the prices are extremely reasonable.

ANOTHER BLONDE DAY 07 Perlino filly by Days of Gold out of Sandstorm Mingo Dell (the dam of our Perlino mare Glenne Gold Melody who has about ten national titles and scores of champions and supremes in open company). Here's a champion if ever one was born! Half sister to Glenne Gold Melody, the first Perlino or Cremello to get registered with AQHA and winner of numerous state and national titles led and under saddle - Melody was 'broken in' by our daughter Kate when Kate was just 13 years old and she was campaigned by Kate over the next few years to become one of the best know Perlino mares in the country.
Blondie is a beautiful young filly, now weaned, and she will be registered A2 with AQHA, Perlino as well as NWP with UPWBDA. A true beauty with a lovely nature, great action and a brilliant future both at halter then under saddle. Should mature to about 15 hands.. $5,500
