DRESSAGE
Photos must display the following:
Dressage fence/arena
Dressage markers
English saddle and bridle- snaffle or double bridle
An acceptable gait- halt, walk, trot, canter
Riders are NOT compulsory, however when featured they must be wearing appropriate attire- boots, breeches, helmet, neat restrained hair, etc
Points will be given on straight action, horse on bit, cleanliness, even gaits and appropriate tack. Bonus credit to intresting surrounding, rider, advanced dressage movements, plaited mane and sand arena.
SHOWJUMPING
Horse must be jumping an obstacle.
Horse must be wearing English tack.
Horse to be wearing protective bandages and/or bellboots.
Manes do not have to be plaited, it is optional.
Riders must carry whip and wear a helmet, but a rider is not essential.
Appropriate breeds.
Bonus credit for- wings on jumps, water, flags and numbers on jumps, jumping saddle.
SADDLE HORSE/PONY
Must wear English tack. Double or snaffle bridle.
Horse must be in an acceptable gait- halk, walk, trot, canter or in hand gallop.
Must take place on grass.
If rider is present must be wearing suitable attire.
Bonus credit for- other horses to make up a 'class', fence, judge, ribbons, plaited mane/tail
WESTERN
Must wear western bridle and saddle.
Engaged in a western pace- halt, walk, jog, lope or gallop.
Must be a western breed e.g quarter horse
Rider, if present must wear western clothing unless specified.
Bonus credit for- lariat, low head carriage, decorated saddle cloth.
IN HAND
Must wear a halter, and a lead if a handler is present.
Must take place on grass.
Must be either be plaited or natural (unless foal)
No tack other than bridle is to be present.
Bonus credit- good conformation, well groomed, patterned browband, presentable handler.
