Skaarj are infamous for their potent strength and cunning. Such qualities have enabled them to conquer a vast empire whose borders are too large to be known. They appear to be organized in a system similar to Earth ants, only they possess an individual intelligence billions of times greater and appear more reptilian than insect. Apparently, a “Queen” Skaarj creates large amounts of eggs after being fertilized by a giant, winged, male Skaarj known as a “Warlord” because of its military power in Skaarj society. However, Skaarj DNA technology allows for massive unique egg production without the aid of a queen. Nonetheless, queens remain important to the Skaarj and the high-ranking leader of all Skaarj is believed to be one. Eggs are left in various high-temperature “hives” which are present in all known Skaarj colonies. Depending on humidity and temperature, the eggs will hatch in a month and Skaarj pupae will emerge. These pupae, while lacking the adult intelligence, are highly aggressive and will eat any food source they can find, including other pupae. Should the pupae survive for eight months, they will borrow underground. For approximately a week, they will undergo a metamorphic process in which they will grow into a near-full-sized adult. These adults can become scouts, food gatherers before Skaarj civilization, or infantry, the ancient Skaarj fighters. Depending on genetic profiles, the mature Skaarj will either be sent off for education, or more commonly, become soldiers. Education is primarily based on science, primarily genetics, and mathematics, as Skaarj care little, if at all, for any art. All Skaarj, at least on the colonies, carry weapons. When ready for them, the scouts (roughly equivalent to the ant worker class) are issued energy projectile weapons, mounted to the base of their claws that draw low amounts of energy directly from their bloodstream. Infantry (ant soldiers) receive various handheld weapons, as well as a force-field generating shield. Worse, the amazing Skaarj agility allows them to dodge many attacks. Skaarj presence has existed on Na Pali for at least the previous five decades. While an unintended landing, the Skaarj quickly colonized the planet in order to access the vast amounts of Tarydium. Unwilling to work in the dangerous mines themselves, they, through brutal methods, forced the native Nali to be the miners. Any Skaarj should be regarded as highly dangerous, and the species poses a great threat to all in the galaxy.

Mercenary
Home-world: None; Their old homeworld, Vega 4, was all but destroyed.
Weapons: Rapid-Fire Machine gun (bullets or explosives) and rockets.
Classification: Mid-sized humanoid creature.
With just as much, if not more, scientific knowledge as the Skaarj, the creatures commonly known as Mercenaries have proven to be powerful allies of humanity. Their name itself is a misnomer probably caused by humans initially perceiving their voice and appearance as robotic and heartless. In reality, while Mercenaries have partaken in weapons research and development, rarely do they enter in other species’ military service. Their technology and space superiority makes up for their general lack of individual tactical fighting. All adult mercenaries on research missions are required to carry supplies on their backs and a weapon at all times. Generally, the weapon will be a rapid-fire machine gun that can also fire rockets. Great destruction and death has occurred during the course of the war, instigated by the Skaarj seeking to dominate over the Mercenaries, as they had the Krall. Yet, the Mercenaries would not succumb to such tyrants as the Skaarj and fought bravely. The Skaarj, realizing conventional tactics would fail, turned to an ultra-secret, highly expensive weapon capable of instigating fusion reactions between the nitrogen molecules. Estimates are that up to 45% of the Vega 4’s life was wiped out within a month from the resulting high levels of radiation emanating from the upper atmosphere of the planet. The desperate survivors realized they would need massive resources to repair the extensive damage to their planetary ecological system. Some especially vengeful survivors stayed behind and launched four, all which existed, of their own secret weapons of mass destruction, a device capable of completely destroying matter. With the location of the Skaarj home unknown to them, the Mercenaries simply set each missile to follow a ship that was believed to be going straight to the Skaarj capital. Two did pass through the portal the ship generated. Yet, one hit a Skaarj supertransporter journeying out of the same portal and instantly vaporized it and all other ships within a ten million kilometer radius. The remaining Skaarj ships, near Vega 4 itself, saw the damage caused by the missile and shot the final one that was still leaving the planet. The resulting explosion forced a powerful upward blast that destroyed all Skaarj ships in the system. The downward blast created a gigantic hole with a depth only 1000 meters from the core of the planet. Immediately, huge amounts of hot magma were forced upward and within a day, a once lush planet was turned into a molten wasteland. Meanwhile, as intercepted reports indicate, one missile managed to hit the actual Skaarj world. Damage was minimal initially, however, due to the presence shield system around the planet that was capable of absorbing the energy of any explosion. Yet, during this same time, the first missile fired crashed into the Skaarj planetary system’s star. The explosion was powerful enough to cause the most powerful EMP field ever recorded to be generated. Within ten minutes, every piece of electronic equipment in the system was shot out, causing failure in every space station and ship in the system, killing millions of Skaarj. The shield protected the Skaarj planet against the EMP, but it itself was destroyed in the process. The nuclear reactions from the second missile then spread onto the world itself, but killed only limited numbers of Skaarj. Nonetheless, the explosions were concentrated in the area of “Central Command” and killed 90% of the Skaarj leaders. Both sides were severely crippled and unable to continue fighting each other. Yet, when the Mercenary ship, the Terraniux, landed on the planet Na Pali for scientific exploration just two years ago, Skaarj were found on the planet. Small battles broke out.

"Hybrid" Project
Home-world : Codenamed "homeworld" , a giant asteroid base. (Destroyed during the Human-Skaarj as a mistake for a skaarjbase)
Weapons : Any possible human/skaarj weapon is useable.
Classification: Medium to large sized, bipedal and metamorphic creature .
The "Hybrid" Project was the first attempt to replicate a skaarj birth defect (Witch made the skaarj 2 times stronger and smarter).When the experimental Hybrids were completed , the skaarj sent the squad of 8 to attempt to destroy the mercenary homeworld Vega4.Two of the squad members went missing two weeks before the assault. The remaining 6 hybrids were sent to destroy the mercenary's power source underground to disable the planets shields (Prevented any capital sized skaarj ships from entering the planet). The skaarj used Small drop ships and decoys to deploy the hybrids. With the shield destroyed the skaarj would be able to invade with a single mothership and overwhelm the mercenaries. However, the mercenaries were able fend off the assault. The Mercenaries took a local parasite from their biodeck and launched a horde of the parasites at the skaarj ship in orbit , the parasites easily overwhelmed the mother ship giving the mercenaries the chance to board the mothership and disable the generator (Destroying the ship in orbit). The skaarj discovered the parasites were unable to infect the hybrids (due do DNA damage caused by the experiments , parasites cannot replicate the nerve system). The skaarj , outraged by the loss of a mother ship started a fullscale war with the mercenaries. Although the skaarj hive abandoned the project because of a failure to destroy an "inferior" race. The remaining hybrids were sent to a suicide mission to the mercenary homeworld. The Hybrids then left the primary hive and were never heard of again. Aware of the betrayal and dishonor of the skaarj, the clan secretly joined the mercenaries and provoked the destruction of Vega4. The survivors of the Vega4 incident then drifted in space in a small frigate that slammed into an asteroid and the hybrid's quickly transformed the asteroid into a working base and began to fix the flaws the skaarj did not fix and develop far advanced technology.

Vega4 Parasite
Home-world: Vega4 (before the planet was destroyed)
Weapons : Rear legs have powerful muscles that allow the parasite to jump and latch on to its prey (there it slowly takes over the prey's nerve system)
Classification: Small, four legged swarm based creature.
The Parasite from vega4 was once the equivalent to common rat. but the environmental damage mercenaries caused with technology transformed this space rat into a parasite , mercs couldn’t be infected so there was no problems on vega4. When the skaarj were scouting out their world , the mercenaries used the parasite as a threat to the skaarj, this threat provoked the destruction of their planet years later. The Last surviving swarm of parasites in the galaxy was aboard the mercenary ship "Nexus" a weapon that was capable of firing a 22 terawatt ion beam capable of clearing worlds of life. The Nexus was sent to find the skaarj homeworld by following a skaarj mother ship. The mother ship crashed on napali , the gravity dragged the nexus down with it , the nexus then broke apart in the atmosphere , one side landed in the canyons , the other in the ice mountains of the north. The "northern nexus" was never heard of because of a rough crash, only now has a teleporter been able to teleport between the 2 ships.
Ice Skaarj
Home-world: Unknown or Classified Information.
Weapons: Various projectile weapons for mature Skaarj, which also have powerful claws. Young pupae can only sting and bite.
Medium to large sized, bipedal, metamorphic, hive-based creature.
The Ice Skaarj were once part of the empire but when their mothership crashed on napali and a human eliminated the clan on napali broke apart. The Skaarj on the north cap of Napali Forged an alliance for the Ice Nali , blue skinned "heretics" of the nali race. The ice skaarj were recently disturbed by the crash of a mercenary vessel , the ice skaarj quickly overwhelmed and eliminated the mercenaries. But the ship had the parasite aboard and the skaarj had to retreat to the nali mountain pass (Now known as the refuge), the only defense to the ice nali's huge underground city.
