DEAR ALL DELEGATES,
WE WELCOME YOU TO KUCHING, CROWNE PLAZA FOR OUR 12TH NATIONAL CONVENTION.
WE ARE VERY PLEASED TO ANNOUCE THAT AT THE CLOSING OF NORMAL REGISTRATION WE HAVE REACHED A TOTAL OF 1,691 ADULTS AND 169 CHILDREN DELEGATES REGISTERED FOR THE 12TH MALAYSIAN NATIONAL CONVENTION. THIS IS ANOTHER MILESTONE SET BY HOPE MALAYSIAN CHURCHES. THE FIGURE SPEAKS VOLUME AND WE ARE EXCITED TO SEE SUCH A HUGE TURNOUT FOR THIS YEAR CONVENTION. CONGRATULATION FOR TAKING HOLD OF THIS GREAT OPPORTUNITY IN JOINNING THIS YEAR CONVENTION.
AS MOST OF YOU WILL BE MAKING YOUR PREPARATION TOWARDS THE CONVENTION WE WOULD LIKE TO BRIEF AND HIGHLIGHT TO YOU SOME OF THE IMPORTANT AND USEFUL INFORMATION IN YOUR PREPARATION.

2. REGISTRATION
THE REGISTRATION OF OUR CONVENTION WILL START ON THURSDAY, 6TH DECEMBER AT 130PM AT STADIUM MBKS AND WE DO HOPE ALL DELEGATES WILL MAKE THEIR WAY TO THE STADIUM BEFORE 2PM.
ONCE YOU HAVE REGISTERED YOU WILL BE GIVEN A BADGE, YOUR CONVENTION BOOKLET AND BAG-PACK.

3.1 1ST DAY, THURSDAY THE 6TH DECEMBER, 2007
WE WILL START OUR CONVENTION AT 2PM WITH HOPE CARNIVAL. THE CARNIVAL WILL END AT 430PM. PLEASE BE SURE TO TAKE PART IN HOPE CARNIVAL. WE HAVE GAMES PREPARED FOR EVERYONE FROM EVERY AGE_GROUP.
THE WORKSHOP WILL START AT VARIOUS TIMES DEPENDING ON THE WORKSHOP YOU HAVE BEEN ALLOCATED.
FOR THOSE WHO IS IN PRACTICAL WORKSHOP, PLEASE STAY BACK AT STADIUM MBKS AND THE PRACTICAL WORKSHOP WILL START AT 5PM AND END AT 630PM
FOR THOSE WHO IS IN THE OTHER WORKSHOPS, PLEASE PROCEED TO CROWNE PLAZA CONVENTION HALL, THE WORKSHOP WILL START AT 730PM AND END AT 9PM
FOR THE CHIDREN WITH ACCOMPANYING PARENTS WHO HAS REGISTERED FOR MOVIE NIGHT PLEASE PROCEED TO CROWNE PLAZA LOBBY, AT 630PM, THE MOVIE WILL START AT 7PM AND END AT 900PM
3.2 2ND DAY, FRIDAY THE 7TH DECEMBER, 2007
WE WILL START OUR CONVENTION ON THE 2ND DAY AT 8AM PLEASE BE AT THE CONVENTION HALL BEFORE 8AM. THE TEACHING WILL BEGIN ON THE 2ND DAY AND IN BETWEEN THE DAY WE WILL HAVE THE OPENNING CEREMONY AND THE MISSION NIGHT LINING UP IN THE PROGRAM. THE 2ND DAY WILL END AT 10PM AFTER MINISTERING.
3.3 3RD DAY, SATURDAY THE 8TH DECEMBER, 2007
ON THE 3RD DAY THE CONVENTION WILL START AT 8AM AS USUAL PLEASE PROCEED TO THE CONVENTION HALL BEFORE 8AM. IN BETWEEN TEACHINGS WE WILL HAVE THE BEST OF THE BEST CEREMONY AND THE THEME NIGHT LINING UP IN THE PROGRAM. THE 3RD DAY WILL END AT 10PM AFTER MINISTERING.
3.4 FINAL DAY, SUNDAY THE 9TH DECEMBER, 2007
ON THE FINAL DAY THE CONVENTION WILL START AT 8AM AND END WITH CLOSING CEREMONY AT 1130AM
3.5 PRAISE KIDS CLUB(PKC)
FOR THOSE WITH CHILDREN ATTENDING PKC, THE PROGRAM WILL START ON THE 2ND DAY, FRIDAY THE 7TH DECEMBER, 2007 AT 8AM AND END TOGETHER WITH THE CONVENTION. THE PKC PROGRAMS INCLUDE SINGING PRAISE SONGS, INTERACTIVE ACTIVITIES, PRESENTATION, NAP TIME AND WATCHING DVDs.

4. MEALS
YOU CAN EITHER TAKE YOUR MEALS IN THE HOTELS OR AT THE HAWKERS STALLS SCATTERED AROUND THE VICINITY OF THE CONVENTION HALL. BE SURE TO CHECK OUT SOME OF THE SARAWAK DELICACIES LIKE THE LAKSA, KOLO MEE, KAMPUA MEE, FOO CHOW CHAU AND MANY MORE. PLEASE TAKE YOUR MEALS BEFORE THE CONVENTION OR DURING THE BREAK. WE ADVISED ALL DELEGATES TO APPROACH OUR HOSTING TEAM ASSIGNED TO YOUR HOMOGENEOUS GROUP FOR DIRECTION TO YOUR FOOD ZONE.
5. INFORMATION COUNTER AND OTHERS
5.1 SECRETARIATE
THE WILL BE AN INFORMATION COUNTER SET UP AT THE STADIUM AND THE CONVENTION HALL. YOU ARE FREE TO APPROACH THE SECRETARIATE FOR ANY ADVISE AND INFORMATION.
5.2 MEDICAL ASSISTANCES
SHOULD YOU NEED MEDICAL ATTENTION OR ADVICE WE HAVE MEDICALS DOCTOR ON STANDBY 24 HOURS TO ASSIST YOU.
5.3 HOPE STORES
VARIOUS HOPE CENTERS HAVE ALSO SET UP HOPE STORES TO SELL SOUVENIERS AND GIFTS FOR FUND RAISING. PLEASE LOOK OUT FOR THESE HOPE STORES TO BUY YOURSELF OR YOUR FRIENDS SOME GIFTS.

6. CONVENTION T-SHIRT
THE CONVENTION T-SHIRT WILL BE ON SALE AT THE HOPE STORE AND IS LIMITED TO 1,100 PIECES IN VARIOUS SIZES. FOR THE LADIES THE T-SHIRT WILL BE IN BABY-T CUTTINGS. THE T-SHIRT IS PRICED AT RM20 AND THE PROFIT GENERATED FROM THE SALES WILL GO TO KAZAKSTAN AND EAST TIMOR MISSION WORK. PLEASE DO DROP BY TO PICK UP THE CONVENTION T-SHIRT FOR YOURSELF AND YOUR LOVE ONE.

As the
convention is just around the corner, it is only natural that our preparation
becomes more intense. Every detail is to be looked at and every aspect is to be
anticipated and sorted out. Although humanly we can put all things together but
still we need the grace of God to work things out especially on the actual day
and true enough we are more and more dependable on God for help.
I believe the
success of the convention is not measured so much on the organization or the
flow of the event but the true success is very much depend on how well we set
Christ apart in our heart as Lord so that we are able to answer everyone who
ask about the hope that we have. And the key to success is always the
preparation. Therefore to see this convention a successful one, we should all
prepare ourselves. Lets take this time or whatever is left in this November to
meditate in the word of God. Let God’s word be the light upon your path and the
lamp on your foot as you journey your way towards the convention.

Message from Chairman @August2007
SHALOM TO ALL BROTHERS AND SISTERS,
In a blink of an eye we are into the month of August and our Malaysian National Convention (MNC) is just around the corner, I pray that you are as excited as I am right now.
Just for your information the organizing committees are already into our 3rd gear getting things ready, in fact we have had our registration team feeling some of the heat already when all the registration lists poured in from different centers a day before the closing of the early bird registration. At last all worries and sleepless nights are over for now. Thanks to the registration team for their hard work I am glad to announce that for the very first time in MNC we have registered over 1,500 delegates in the Early Bird Registration. Thanks be to God, this is the largest ever attendance in the history for Hope of God, Malaysia. We are extremely glad to be part of this exciting news.
Although our initial estimation for this year MNC is around 1,500, now it seems that we have to increase our faith goal to 1,750, nothing is impossible for God, Amen! With this goal, our Facilities committee is working with the hotel to find ways to fit 1,750 into the convention hall, the proposal from the team to me so far is very positive and within a short while we might announce some good news, as for now the Normal Registration is closed until further notice. For those who have yet to sign up, my advice is that you approach the person-in-charge in your respective center and tell them your intention to join the convention. As for those who had signed up, our commitment to you is absolute and we will do our best to make this MNC a meaningful one. See You in Kuching and have a pleasant trip.
