For over 146 years, members of four different companies have come under one name, the Newark Fire Department, to dedicate endless hours of their time to protect the lives and property of the citizens of Newark, New York.  This site is dedicated to one of those fire companies in particular, the Excelsior Hook & Ladder Company 4.  Created and maintained by one of the Hook & Ladder's own, this site will feature information and pictures from all Newark fire companies, with a special focus on the ladder company.  Please take the time to look through all of the links on the web page including information, apparatus photos, incident photos, and more.  Please feel free to leave comments and/or suggestions in the guestbook.  They are always welcome.
