August 11th Newswire
Last night saw Jake DeMarte defeat Zelenka and Eddie
Weiss in a stellar Three Way Dance to win the HWL World Championship
for a record third time. There are no upcoming title defenses scheduled
as the Honor Wrestling League has implemented a points system which
states that a wrestler must have three points (three consecutive wins)
in order to challenge for the HWL World Title. This Sunday night at
"Stronger Than All" will see many wrestlers vying to get their first
point in the quest for the championship crown. HWL Officials are hoping
to have a World title match for "Hail to England Night Two", but that
is entirely dependant on the wrestlers themselves.
HWL Officials
have been meeting several times in the past week discussing the HWL
World Tag Team Titles. They have determined that an eight team
tournament will take place in Liverpool, England on September 1st as
part of "Hail to England Night One". Already announced to be competing
are the Dark Carnival of Twitch and Eddy. The Honor Wrestling League is
extending an invitation to any outside teams in addition to teams that
have not already been formed within the Honor Wrestling League.
Reports
out of the James Miller managerial camp is that Keevee Kaiser has been
a solitary man since his lost to Dr. Phate last night. So much so that
James Miller himself has not been able to get a hold of him. Phate
attacked Miller during the match as the manager of the "Bay Area Bad
Boy" attempted to interfere. After the loss, Kaiser stormed off and
left James Miller to recuperate by himself on the gymnasium floor. What
is up with Keevee Kaiser?
We also saw a Pure Wrestling vs.
Hardcore showdown at "Epic Encounter". HWL Officials were relaxed on
the rules in this match and let Kris Williams and Teddy Davis use
foreign objects, but Davis managed to overtake control of the match
with his technical power... only to have Williams use an object to jab
him in the head as he was coming down for a headbutt. Williams will be
up against Erick Wilson on 8/19 and Davis will team with Zelenka to
take on the Dark Carnival of Twitch and Eddy, but Davis has let it
known that he is not finished with Kris Williams. Williams though has
declared his intentions to start the Hardcore Revolution in HWL.
We'd like to welcome Gypsy and Brad Hunter to the Honor Wrestling League roster.
