Homestar Runner History

Whew!

Homestar Runner changed over the years. He was first made a children's book in 1996 by Mike Chapman and Craig Zobel. In 1999 Mike and Matt Chapman made the website. The characters did not look the same as they do now. Later on they made their first toon. It was called "Marshmallow's Last Stand." This toon has been removed from the site for unknown reasons. Later, the site had more toons, games and characters. Another toon, "A Jumping Jack Contest" was made but removed. But the characters still didn't look the same. In 2001 Strong Bad emails were invented. The characters still didn't look the same. Homsar was invented that year when someone spelled Homestar wrong in the Strong Bad email "homsar."The characters finally look how they do now in the toon "The Best Decemberween Ever." Except for The Poopsmith. He did not have the bit of white you can see in his eye now. In 2002, Strong Bad emails are now updated weekly. Quote of the Weeks started under the name "Quote of the Day" The Poopsmith's eye was changed in the toon "Where's The Cheat". In the email "gimmicks" Strong Bad's computer a splodes. In the next email "weird dream" he used The Cheat's computer to check his email. He fixes his old computer in the next email "sisters" but the computer still has problems.  In the email "helium" the inside of Marzipan's mouth was now red if you look carefully. In the email "vacation" it was the first time Strong Bad emails weren't updated in weeks. Every few days as postcard was added to "vacation." In the next email "invisibility" Strong Bad got a new computer, "Compy 386. His 50th email finally came that year." In 2003, the first new game we have on the games menu. The game is called Trogdor. On April Fools day, the website turned into kingoftown.com. Later, in the email "anything" Homestar answers Strong Bad's email. The characters page were now videos instead of the yearbook. The first puppet stuff was made it was called "Whoa puppets!" Now it's called "Everybody knows it." The FSU talk happens. In, 2004 Weekly Fanstuff starts. On April Fools Day, instead of the intro, they put up an April Fool where it said Homestarrunner.com was under construction and Stinkoman saved the day! This can be found in the holiday toon section. A Puppet Stuff called "Puppet Jam: Mission Control" was made but when you clicked it nothing happened. On July 5th disapered off the Toons menu. The Weekly Sketchbook was started. Labor day was removed from the toons menu and added few days later as Labor Dabor. ( This needs work)
