My Greek Letters: This e-notebook aims to assist you in learning to recognise and form Greek letters, and develop and improve your writing skills.
It can be used for learners of any age, who learn Greek as their first, second or a foreign language, in a classroom situation as well as for autonomous learning. However, feedback is important and there should always be someone available to provide it constructively to the learner during the learning process. Also, please don't forget to praise achievements!
The main part of this notebook is for practising Greek letter formation. The letters used in the writing sheets are handwritten and some variations have also been included. There is a writing guide to refer to and enable easier letter formation for absolute beginners and plenty of room to practise.
The letters are introduced in alphabetical order but there is no need to progress in this order. A more flexible approach should be adopted (depending on the source language) in order to enable effective interaction with letters, smooth progression and understanding, promote learning and improve confidence.
For English speakers: Guidelines about the Greek letters and sounds have been included to help master not just the writing skills but also improve reading, writing and listening skills, as well as pronunciation.
In addition to this, letter groups are given which will help organise learning and progression. You will also find a guide on stress mark, diaeresis and the punctuation system.
Activity and game sheets have also been included to practise letter recognition and check progress and learning.
Blank (writing, activity and game) sheets have been added to encourage further practise and creative learning.
