Hollowbead Ranch is the name of mine and my Husband's (Lee) Ranch located on a beautiful 50 acres at the top of Colbert Heights Mtn. in Tuscumbia, Alabama. We have two Blue Heelers (Australian Cattle Dogs) named Dixie and Bodie, a Silky Terrier named Dallas, and my Miniature Goat Farm which consists of many, many goats. Growing up my family has owned about any kind of animal you can think of including horses, cats, dogs, ducks, rabbits, and donkeys which covers a lot of your normal pets. We have also owned Rheas (miniature ostriches), Miniature Horses, Miniature Donkeys, a Baby Alligator once, and even bottle raised a deer one time, which all explains my love for animals!

In February 2007 I decided to get started in the goat business. I started out with a Nubian Doe, Nubian Buck, and a Brush Doe. Afterwards my Dad (Charles) decided he wanted to join the goat venture and so we started our partnership. We tried out Boer goats, but since I am the main one handling the goats (with my Husband and Father working out of town) we decided that Pygmies/Nigerian Dwarfs would be a little easier for me to handle on my own. So now we are in the Miniature Goat Business with as much color as you can imagine!
Our goats are kept at my Dad's 8 acre farm on Underwood Mtn. where we have a large barn, consisting of 3 large stalls with attaching lots and 2 enclosed stall, and 5 divided pastures with catch pins and sheds in each one. We have been in the horse business since I was a little girl so we were well setup for goats already and have just been making small improvements since the first of the last year. My Husband (Lee) and I are hoping to add electric wire to our fencing sometime this year so that we will be capable of running a herd here on our place as well.
So for right now I am just enjoying the many joys of being a "Goat Lady". Please be sure to check out our "Goats For Sale" Section.
