4 HIS SAKE RABBITRY is specializing in Black Otter, Blue Otter, Chocolate Otter, and Lilac Otter with Solid and Broken available in these colors. This site has been dedicated to our Lord. I desire to keep health and temperament as major factors in the development of our line. I save the best of the best and cull heavily. I desire to have the most quality consistent line of Holland Lop Otters in all four colors that will be competitive with Torts on the show table. After attending a recent show, I had to reevaluate my goals for my breeding program. The animals that won were exactly what most Holland breeders are working toward. The buzzword is massive. I for one do not plan on giving up my dream of the perfect Holland being at the ideal weight of 3 pounds. My goal is not to win on the table with a massive Holland that I can only show once because by the next show he will be over 4 pounds. I’m not sure that I want to be breeding toward a standard that normally rewards those that are on the verge of 4 pounds. I still can’t give up the visual picture in my mind of the ideal that I have been working for of the three pounder that is elegant but still with a massive look. Hollands are the dwarfs of the Lops. My breeding program will attempt to keep them dwarfs.
I show very little because of work constraints. Pets are available and may be picked up at our Rabbitry. Breeder quality animals may also be picked up at our Rabbitry. Shipping is available starting at $100 per Holland shipped plus expenses. This price will at this time not exceed $200 per Holland in order to furnish you with the best quality at competitive prices.
Although I desire to sell show quality Hollands, I do not advertise utilizing that description of quality. I have been discouraged often in the past when I had purchased what was billed as "Show Quality" Hollands. What is show quality to you may not be show quality to me. What is a winning entry to one judge may be judged as 10th by the next judge. I will give you my honest comments on each Holland sold and will use my determination as to the breeder quality of that animal. Hollands that will be shipped will be priced at one of these five designations ($100-$125-$150- $175- or $200).
