Reiki Training - What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also encourages healing. It is given by "laying on hands" and is based on the belief that an unseen "energy life force" flows through us. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "Universal / Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy.” Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."
A treatment feels like wonderful glowing warmth that flows through and around you. Treating the whole person including body, mind and spirit creating many positive and beneficial effects like relaxation, peacefulness and wellbeing.
Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It also works in union with other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.
A simple technique to learn and with attunements allows the student to tap into an unlimited supply of "life force energy"
While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion, there is nothing you must believe in order to learn and use Reiki. In fact, Reiki is not dependent on belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not.
- 1st Degree - Beginner - £150
- 2nd Degree - Practitioner Level - £200
- 3rd Master / Practitioner / Teacher Level - £250
All of Healing Waters Academy Reiki one day courses are run throughout the year for groups of up to 4 only to allow for individual attention. One on One training available with additional costs.

Reiki Level One
Course Requirements
There are no formal requirements to take Reiki Level 1 and the course is open to anyone aged 18 and over who is interested in learning this wonderful therapy
Reiki 1 Course
- One day course 9am - 6.30pm
- What is Reiki
- The History of Reiki.
- How Reiki is used.
- The Reiki Principles and how to use them in the modern world
- How to give reiki to yourself and others.
- After your Reiki One Course, you will encouraged to self treat on a regular basis and keep a journal of your development.
- Practical Session: use what you have learnt, you will give and receive a reiki treatment.
- How to sense the flow of energy and working with the energies.
- Lots of practise of the healing hand positions
- Introduction to meditation
- Aura & Protection
- Meditation and Attunement to level one Reiki.
- For small groups of up to 4 only. (A minimum of 2 students are required for a course to run)
- Free - ongoing support along your Reiki journey.
- You are encouraged and welcome to attend my monthly Reiki shares
- One to one is available at an extra cost.
Reiki Level 2
Course Requirements
- Previous attunement to Usui Reiki Level 1, plus experience of working with Reiki in both one on one sessions and Reiki shares for a minimum of 3 months.
- I will take students who are from other lineages / masters as long as you meet with my requirements. However I will either phone or meet with you for a chat to see what you have already learnt / covered during your Level 1 course.
- Byosen Scanning and beaming
- Practical work with the symbols, experiencing the different “feel” and qualities. Meditation and Attunement to the Level 2 Symbols
- Meditation and Creative Visualisation
- For small groups of up to 4 only. (A minimum of 2 students are required for a course to run)Free - ongoing support along your Reiki journey.
- One on one course available at extra cost
Reiki Level 3 - Master Practitioner/Teacher
This one day course is suitable for any Reiki student who wishes to expand their understanding of Reiki and the use of more advanced techniques. Learning the Master symbol and how to attune others.
Course Requirements:
Previous attunement to Usui Reiki Level 2 and at least 6-12 months experience at working at this level in one on one situations and Reiki shares.
Reiki Level 3
- Review of Level 2
- Meaning and use of the Usui Master Symbol
- Meditation and Attunement to the Master Symbol
- Uses and the construction of Reiki Crystal Grid
- Introduction to Psychic Surgery
- Practical work to explore the “feel” of the master symbol energy
- Comprehensive course manual
- Master Attunement
- Values, Attitudes and Spiritual Orientation for Reiki Mastery
- Reiki 1 - 3 Attunements – theory and practice
- Aura Attunements
- Empowerments
- One to one is available at an extra cost.
Please note: Some insurers will require you to have a basic teaching qualification before they will insure you as a teacher/trainer. Courses covering Delivering Learning to Adults are available through your local Further Education College. If you do not have any formal teaching experience / qualification then this is the easiest way to meet this requirement. Please check with your insurers what their requirement is. You must also be fully compliant with any legal and ethical requirements for practice and teaching. It is your responsibility to ensure that you fulfill these requirements.
Re- Attunements
Proof of your previous attunement levels are needed, if you have lost your certificate, then sorry these reattunements are not available.
Reiki Re- Attunements - All Levels - £25
Your original Reiki attunements should last you your life time. However some feel that they need to be re-attuned for what ever reason. On proof of your original certificate, you will be re-attuned to the level you have previously been attuned to.
Reiki Re- Attunements & Refresher Half Day - £50 - Levels One & Two
Has it been a while since you took your Reiki Levels One or Two? I provide a half a day refresher to bring you up to date. Approx 3 hours. On proof of your original certificate(s), you will also be re-attuned to the level(s) you have previously been attuned to.
Reiki Master / Teacher Refresher Half Day - £80
Has it been a while since you took your Reiki Master / Teacher level? I provide a half a day refresher to bring you up to date. (Approx 4 hours.) On proof of your original certificates, you will receive a master re-attunement, reiki refresher and carry out an attunement.
