Built back in 2000, this is no ordinary GTR. It was built to compete in the Japanese Super Taikyu endurance race series.
Its not a tuned road car, the bare shell was purchased and additional welding was done along every seem. Then a ten point roll cage was added to fully strengthen the shell. The suspension is Top Secret`s own system with gas reservoir dampers and ride height adjustability. Eight piston monoblock calipers with 360mm vented disc`s are used up front and 4 pot rear`s, are all mated with Endless race pads. Engine wise Top Secret choose to fit a T78-33D turbo. The turbo is fitted to a Top Secret Pro manifold which in turn is fitted to an HKS 100mm Titanium exhaust. On the inlet side of the engine a large cone filter is used (boxed in custom airbox). Custom piping from the turbo is joined to a large Trust race-spec Intercooler. A custom plenum is also fitted. The cylinder head is port polished with HKS valves, valve seats and guides. HKS 280 degree step 3 cams were chosen. In the bottom of the engine a fully balanced HKS crank is joined to HKS pistons by Trust H section con rods. Twin Bosch fuel pumps send race fuel from the racing inboot tank to 720cc injectors. For cooling this car uses a large capacity Arc radiator. An HKS 5 speed dog box is joined to an Ogura Racing twin plate clutch. Being a race car an HKS torque split controller was also fitted to allow the driver`s full control of the four wheel drive system. Externally the car is obviously finished in Top Secrets own mix of gold paint with their own carbon fibre bonnet and boot. Added down force comes from the hugh G-Force carbon fibre R-wing GT2. Finally the car sits on Top Secret Volk racing wheels (18 x 10.5)
