Every woman is good at something. Whether it's cooking, decorating, planting, or sewing, we all have a little something to brag about. Well, why not brag about it!
I've been trying to bring out the little creative lights in me. All my life I thought my only passion was drawing and writing poetry. But what happens when you run out of words? Or you run into a brick wall and can't think of a single thing to draw? And when you do, it's just not right. My brick wall was in my way for YEARS. So, I took an interest in lotion-making. Yep, I never thought I'd be interested in making lotions. Wow, when I found out I could choose my own scents and colors and make my own labels, I thought for sure I found something I could drop my job for! I didn't, of course, but I pursued the art of making lotions.
Making the lotions was so much fun!! I am thinking of selling them, too. But first things first. I have to find out what my true passion is.
So I decided to try scrapbooking. While learning this fun little hobby, I discovered how much more fun it was to make cards!!
I played with Thank You cards for the people who attended my baby shower. That was so interesting and the wheels in my head turned til I hurt. My first big hit with card making was for my friend's son's birthday party. I made cards with little teddy bears stuck to the front. Not stickers, but small little real teddy bears. On the inside, I filled the card with pages of her son's pictures.
I'll probably keep trying different thins. *Actually, I already have a soapmaking kit* I guess I'll still keep trying until I find out what it is I am really going to stick with. For now, I'm just having tons of fun trying everything out.
