I'm glad you found Hissy Fit! How you got here is not as important as whether or not you plan to hang around. Let me tell you about Hissy Fit and why I believe you could benefit from it.

I created Hissy Fit with one thing on my mind - to embrace the power of woman. We have come a long way. Many of us have experienced the transition from being nothing more than "just a woman" to being acknowledged as an individual. Many of us have only known equality amongst sexes. Many still deny it. My goal is not to shout to the top of the world, "I am woman, hear me roar." Instead, it is to learn to better myself as a woman and enjoy my gender. My goal is not to belittle men. Although Hissy Fit is a site primarily for women, we must appreciate the opposite sex no matter how different it is.

With our online community, I offer many boards that should not only appeal to women but to better enhance our awareness about important issues regarding us. These issues include but are not limited to domestic violence, rape, and child molestation. *I do not forget that they apply to men as well. However, as a woman I feel it is our duty to become aware of these serious issues. It is our duty to know the horrible things that happen in our society so that we can better protect ourselves and those we love.

Also offered within the forum are topics that may enhance our daily lives. These topics include recipes, gossip, aging, and other fun discussions. One treat I would like to mention is the program I call "Meets." This is where Hissy Fit members plan to meet in the physical world. Making friends is one of the best experiences we women can have. From simple child playdates to a centralized Hissy Fit party, the Meets program's objective is to provide opportunities for our online friends to get to know us in the real world.
