Brian Houston
Brian Houston is the Senior Pastor of Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia. With a current congregation of over 19,000 people, it is considered to be Australia's largest church, and has growing congregations in London, Kiev and Paris.
Brian was born in Auckland, New Zealand in February 1954. His parents, Frank and Hazel Houston, were Salvation Army officers who joined the Assemblies of God in New Zealand and pastored the local Assembly of God church in Lower Hutt, where Brian grew up. When he finished school, he spent three years studying at the Lower Hutt Bible College in New Zealand.
After moving to Australia with his wife in February 1978, Brian served at Sydney Christian Life Centre, Darlinghurst, where he became the Assistant Pastor to his father, Frank Houston. In 1980 he planted a church on the Central Coast, and in Liverpool in 1981, which are both thriving churches today. In 1983, Brian saw a need in Sydney's north-western suburbs and hired the Baulkham Hills Public School hall to start a new church, Hills Christian Life Centre. The first service was held on Sunday 14 August 1983 and from an initial congregation of 45 people, is today the 19,000 strong HIllsong Church.
In 1997 Brian was elected President of the Assemblies of God in Australia, a pentecostal movement, after Andrew Evans' retirement. His passion for leadership and inspiring people to live to their full potential and make a difference in the world has made Brian a popular speaker at Christian conferences and churches across the globe.
Brian Houston is the author of many books, including For This Cause, "Get A Life", "You Can Change the Future",You Need More Money, How to Build Great Relationships, How to Live a Blessed Life, How to Make Wise Choices, How to Flourish in Your Life and "How to :Live in Health & Wholeness". The Hillsong Television program is broadcast in 180 nations of the world, featuring Hillsong Music and teaching by Brian Houston.
Brian is married to Bobbie Houston, also originally from New Zealand and resides in Sydney. They have three children, Joel, Laura and Ben.

Bobbie Houston is the wife of Brian Houston, Senior Pastor of the Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia.
Bobbie Houston's ministry is mainly aimed at women. She is the author of the books I'll have what she's having and Heaven is in this house.
Her husband credits her with a significant portion of the early growth of Hillsong Church.
She was born in New Zealand and married Brian Houston in February 1977.
Recently, she has been helping to raise money for the victims of the Indian Ocean tsunami of 2004.
