Hillendale Leuveli

Leuveli (A LOVELY name for a lovely boy) Veli was born in January 2009, and was sired by my stallion Jaybee Leuwis, out of the stunning mare Adalis Sydney. He was a beautiful boy in not just looks, but temperament.  At the 2009 AWHA Gala day, he went on to win Champion Colt Foal, amongst many well bred horses.   This will be one boy who I will keep a close eye on, as he is bound to grow into something beautiful.

Congratulations to Sharon Nautili of Tyabb Vic on her purchase of Veli in June 2009.

Jaybee Leuwis

I bought Leuwis when he was 2 weeks old after visiting Jaybee Farm. He was a bright red bay with a donut shaped star, and stood out among the others. He always had a delightful temperament, so it was decided to leave him entire.  In 2006 he was successfully presented for AWHA Colt Classification, this was one of my great achievements as not many horses pass the stringent criteria. He was very successfull in the dressage arena, and I competed him up to elementary level. The progeny he has sired have all have lots of chrome, and delightful temperaments.

Congratulations to Jessica Kent of Millicent SA on her purchase of Leuwis in May 2009.  He will be competing in Young Rider Dressage classes, and may also see him out in the eventing field.

sfz Grand Kadenza

KD was bought as an unbroken rising 5yo. With big inentions to breed her to Leuwis. She was broken by Ben Loades who did a fantastic job with her, as she was quite a nervous horse upon her arrival. The moment I sat on her, I felt very safe. She really enjoyed working for you. She was put in foal to Leuwis, but sadly Oct 08 produced a filly which passed away. KD was bought back into work, and I had full intentions to compete with her, but due to circumstances put her on the market.   I am sure she will succeed at becoming a top level dressage horse.

Congratulations to Ken Croser of Horsham Vic, on the purchase of this beautiful mare, March 2009.

Florida

Florida was the first horse that I bred. She was pure thoroughbred by the dressage stallion "Flamboyant", though I never had any intentions of racing her. She was registered Australian Stock Horse, and won many Championships. She was also registered as an AWHA Foundation Mare, and one year even went Champion Warmblood at the Gala Day, the rules have since been changed so foundation mares are ineligible to compete against the warmbloods. We also competed in dressage up to elementary level, and was showing talent for passage etc. She produced one beautiful colt for me "Donikian" but sadly for me did not get in foal again after trying many times. She received a kick in the paddock so could not return to ridden work.

Congratulations to Emily Murray of Mt Barker SA for the purchase of Florida. Flo is expected to produce a foal for Emily in Dec 09.

Clear Mika

Clear Mika was a TB that went to race, and was told she was too large. I bought her as an unbroken rising 4yo. At the time my main interest was in eventing. Mickie competed in a few low grade ODE's, but discovered her main forte was in the showjump arena. It took a while for her to get through D grade due to the low height, but once she was C grade she revelled and was soon B grade. In 2009 Rod Brown leased her from me and bred her to one of his stallions, producing a filly. She was then leased to Chris Chugg, who also bred another 2 fillies. She was returned to me, and I bred her to Leuwis, where she produced her only colt "Leuka".  I owned this mare for over 20 years, but sadly had to have her laid to rest in 2007.

Real McCoy

I bought Marty at the age of 13 months, after trying to breed one of my mares to his sire "McCartney" without success. Marty was a big "dufus" type lad who was quite capable of competing in all disciplines. His career started in the showjump arena, where he competed up to 1.20m classes. He was also seen on the hunt field on 3 occasions. Dressage was his forte, and was graded medium level at the time he was sold.
