Hillendale Warmbloods

Hillendale Leuka is the first foal from  Jaybee Leuwis.

This fellow has a very outgoing "showoff" personality, and has charmed all that have met him. 

Leuka is very light footed and showing lovely hock action & 3 excellent paces, combined with his brilliant golden bay colouring and markings he will definitely stand out in a crowd. He has a beautiful refined head that would also not look out of place in the hack arena. He definitely does not come under the "dumb blood" category of warmbloods.

Leuka will be suitable for any of the olympic disciplines... the choice is yours. With the bloodlines of Domherr (sire of Olympic Gold Medalist Kibah Tic-Toc), crossed with the successfull lines of Mikado / Blue Peter, I would not be surprised to see him have a successfull career in the jumping or eventing arena.  Leuka's dam was a very successful Senior B Grade show jumper who also dabbled in eventing, dressage & hacking.  She has produced offspring for both Rod Brown and Chris Chugg who always envied her. 

At the AWHA Gala day 2008 which was Leuka's first show outing, Leuka showed his outgoing temperament and took all the sights of the show in perfect manner. He was in excellent company in his class, & placed above a Sirocco colt.

Leuka has had regular hoof trimming by a professional farrier, and has also been well behaved for the dentist. 

In October 2009 Leuka was professionally broken in by Ron Harland. He is proving to very trainable under saddle, and is showing the same grace and elegance that he was showing from the ground. The picture at the top of this page is his third week under saddle, with myself hopping on to see how he feels.... which was fantastic !!
