in poverty, so if you like the songies, go out and purchase the

Well, hasn't that been a long hiatus? I do apologise. But now, I bring one hell of a rotation as a sort of promise that I will be keeping up in the future! I miss doing this rotation...
Now. I know a lot of people who visit here are big fans of our Nobby's music (read: Nobuo Uematsu), so I figured who better to focus on next!? Only it's more of a Final Fantasy-centred one, rather than just Nobby, since he didn't do some of the songs I'm putting up here (some of them are remixes XD). All files on box.net, cos Sendspace is being an utter gimp today.

Rambles: Well, even though FFVII isn't my favourite Final Fantasy game, it still has some kickass music! And then there's the Compilation, which has brilliant music too. Shinra Company always reminds me of pottering around inside Shinra Building; Fanfare is an obvious one, lol; Turk's Theme is just Cool with a capital C, plus I totally bum the Turks; One-Winged Angel totally doesn't need to be justified; and the Great Northern Cave, while some might call it depressing, I just LOVE IT. It reminds me of that brilliant time at the end of disc 3, pottering around in the world map, etc.

Rambles: This game has an AMAZING soundtrack. It's the only Final Fantasy game where I've actually kept every single song on my playlist, too. Why because it is fucking heartbreaking; The Price of Freedom is equally heartbreaking, and it makes me cry soooo much; Howl of the Gathered is an ace battle song (the last one, incidentally); A Closed Off Village makes me think of FFVII; and Encounter is deliciously hard rock. In fact, so is ALL of this soundtrack. Yum.

Rambles: FFVIII has probably got my favourite music of all FFs. Most likely cos it has the first song that I really noticed - Find Your Way. Guess it kinda got me into Final Fantasy music. Liberi Fatali is beautiful, and it will ALWAYS remind me of how blown-away I felt watching the intro video; Don't Be Afraid is the classic battle music for me; Find Your Way, well, it's the song that got me into Final Fantasy music; Maybe I'm a Lion is cool and atmospheric; and Eyes On Me is classic and romantic, and Faye Wong has awesome vocals.

Rambles: Final Fantasy X is my absolute favourite Final Fantasy game. Oooh I know, controversial! But I love everything about it. The story, the music, the characters, the fandom! Ooh yes. So anyway; Otherworld, well, I couldn't not include it; Yuna's Theme is pretty and relaxing; Gloom I just LOVE cos it's well... gloomy, and I love songs that are like that; Suteki da Ne makes me cry when I think of the context; People of the North Pole is super pretty, and reminds me of snow (on Mt Gagazet, see); and A Dream That Will End is the perfect summing-up song for FFX, I think.

Rambles: Oh GOD I love FFXII's music. And yes, I KNOW it's not by Nobuo, but I loved Sakamoto's music in Vagrant Story, and this is very similar in places. Clash on the Big Bridge because, well, it's GILGAMESH, who is possibly the coolest guy in all FF; Sochen Cave cos it's ethereal and gorgeous, and it was my phone message tone for SO long that I always think I've got a message when it comes on XD; Forgotten Capital cos I spent AGES in the bloody damned Necrohol of Nabudis, but the music is beautiful; To the Place of Gods cos it's once again, gorgeous and ethereal (can't remember where it's from though - HALP!); and Kiss Me Goodbye cos I'm an Ashe/Balthier shipper and it makes me cry like a baby. I'm not even kidding.
