Formed as Two Dollars Short, they released their first self titled disc by early 2000 and were playing local shows throughout Schenectady/Albany county. When it came time in late 2002, with a revamped sound and lineup, they decided to record their 2nd E.P., Street Corner. With this release came shows with Victory Records own River City Rebels and hardcore legends Blood for Blood and Murphy’s Law.

Because of an ever expanding Music scene Marco and Dane (guitarists) were lost to musical differences. With the heart of the line up still intact, Kevin picking back up the axe, Mike still on drums, Joe still on bass and the addition of James Pistol( Fmr. Radiation Squad guitarist)on guitar/vocals. Two Dollars Short Stormed on lining up shows with the great punk bands that lead our scene today. Hijinx supported Hell-Cat Records own The Unseen, SideOneDummy Records The Casualties and The Briggs, England Legends The Adicts, Antidote, On Punk Core Records The Virus and A Global Threat, The Forgotten, Blind Society, Lost City Angels, Worthless United, The Goodwill F-Timmi.
In Late 2003, The “I Don’t Care” four song demo was recorded and only sold at The Adicts/Antidote show At Valentines in Albany, October 3rd.

January 2004, Two Dollars Short recorded the “Shake My Head” and “Bad Seed” demo’s, with Dan O’ Day of the River City Rebels.

March 2004 new demo’s released at The Casualties, A Global Threat, The Briggs Show.

June 2004 band name Changed To Hijinx to capture the new sound, new direction, departure of Joe and usher in the new era with a new travel ready bass player in Rabs.

December 2004 Hijinx was featured in The Legacy Article “Raising The Dead.”

Hijinx has been Performing the capital region, throughout Vermont, New Hampshire, and beyond. Spreading the Word, This Is A New Generation Of Punk Rock.
