5/4/2008: Hey Everybody!! The video above is from the HSM3 Press Conference held by Disney Channel to discuss High School Musical 3. Ashley Tisdale, Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman along with director and choreographer Kenny Ortega were on hand to answer questions about the new movie. Unfortunately, Lucas Grabeel could not attend the press conference because he is sick and has been instructed to stay on bed-rest. Congratulation to the cast who are hard at work to make HSM3 amazing for us and Get Well Soon Lucas!!!!!!

4/9/2008: Ok, just to clear this up: The Cast of HSM3 is currently in Utah for dance rehearsals. . . EXCEPT for Zac Efron. Zac is still in London working on a different movie project. Someone else missing out on the fun of dance rehearsals? Jared Murillo. Ashley's boyfriend who appeared in High School Musical, High School Musical 2, and High School Musical: The Concert cannot be in the third installment because he is busy at work on his own project, a new band called V-Factory. 4/8/2008: Hello Wildcats!! Big news!! According to Perez Hilton, Disney Channel is already working on "High School Musical 4"!!!!!!!!!!!! The movie will most likely be on the Disney Channel and probably wont contain the entire original cast (we hope it does though!!!!!).
3/28/2008: Hey Everybody! As I promised, now that HSM3 Rehearsals are in full swing there will be TONS of new updates!! Make sure to tune in to the HSM2 Dance Along on the Disney Channel tonight and check out some of the cast members leaving dance rehearsals here!!!
3/27/2008: Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens have signed on to appear on the April 9, 2008 "American Idol gives back" episode of American Idol. Plus, the cast is now in dance rehearsals in Salt Lake City, Utah!!!!!!!

3/16/2008: If you havent yet, make sure to go see the new Disney Movie "College Road Trip" in theatres now! Lucas Grabeel has a small part and is ADORABLE in the movie -- he owned every scene he was in!!!!
3/15/2008: I went to see High School Musical On Ice today and it was AMAZING!!! If you get the chance, make sure to check it out!! The show was produced by HSM director Kenny Ortega and Chuckie Klapow helped choreograph, so the show stays true to our fave movie! In addition, it features "Cellular Fusion" the song created for the HSM stageshow!! It wont be long until HSM3 begins filming, so keep checking back for updates!!!!

2/3/2008: BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!! It is rumored that Disneymania 6 will be coming out in 2008!!!!!! According to two sources, several HSM cast members will be covering classic Disney songs on the CD. This is all RUMOR, but according to the articles, Ashley Tisdale will sing "Once Upon a Dream" from Sleeping Beauty, Vanessa Hudgens will sing "He's A Tramp" from Lady and the Tramp, Lucas Grabeel will sing "It's a Small World" from the Disney Theme Park Attraction Small World, Monique Coleman will sing "You'll Be in My Heart" from Tarzan, Corbin Bleu will sing "When You Wish Upon a Star" from Pinnocchio, and all of these HSM celebs will collaborate for a bonus track: a cover of "Under the Sea" from The Little Mermaid. 2/2/2008: Happy February! Or should I say Ferbuary?!?! Remember to tune in to the Disney Channel all month for the month-long premiere special of the new cartoon "Phineas and Ferb" with Ashley Tisdale as the voice of Candice!!!! Also, make sure to head to a theatre near you to see "Best of Both Worlds: Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus 3D concert featuring the Jonas Brothers." The concert was produced and directed by HSM and HSM2 director Kenny Ortega and will only be in theatres this week!!
2/1/2008: Congratulations to Zac Efron! Last night on "2008 SAG Award Fashion Police," a special on E, Zac Efron was chosen as "Debbie's Best Male Pick" for his style choice.
1/31/2008: Want to see more of the king of Jazz Squares: Lucas Grabeel?? Tune in to see the "College Road Trip" segments on the Disney Channel. Lucas will be appearing as "geeky boy" in the upcoming film starring Raven-Symone and Martin Lawrence. Also in the movie? Ashley Tisdale's "Suite Life of Zack and Cody" costar Brenda Song.
1/27/2008: Congrats to Zac Efron who has been cast in the upcoming feature film "Me and Orson Welles." Zac will be playing one of the lead roles: Richard Samuels in the period piece. We also congratulate Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens who were included in this week's UsWeekly article about Hollywood's current ItGirls. Congrats to Ash and Van for being positive role models for their fans! Both Zac and Vanessa attended this year's Screen Actors Guild Awards recently. Also keeping busy? KayCee Stroh and Ryne Sanborn who recently attended the Sundance Film Festival in Utah! The cast is sure kickinf off 2008 with a bang!

1/15/2008: Zac Efron was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angles, California after suffering from an appendicitis. He has had his appendix removed and is expected to make a full recovery in time to film High School Musical 3. Please keep your thoughts and prayers with Zac at this time.
1/14/2008: Zac Efron will be on the January cover of "Details" Magazine! Make sure to check it out! According to Ashley's official Website, she will make her big screen debute in an adventure comedy entitled "They Came from Upstairs." It has also been announced that both Drew Seeley's new movie "Another Cinderella Story" and Lucas Grabeel's "Alice" will both be released straight to DVD, so keep a look out!!

12/17.2007: Congrats to HSM2 -- the movie landed in TVGuide's year wrap-up! In other news, E! News covered a piece on Ashley Tisdale's new nose. FYI: Ash is NOT a fan of plastic surgery! She wants her fans to know that the reason she had a rhinoplasty is because she has a medical condition called a Deviated Septum and has broken her nose twice. No worries, Ashley can now breathe much better and still looks beautiful!

12/9/2007: AWESOME VIDEO ALERT!! USA Today talked to Ashley Tisdale at Disneyland, filming the HSM cast performance for the Disney Christmas Parade which will air on ABC on Christmas Day! Ashley talks about Christmas, HSM3, and hanging out with the cast! Exciting News: The Cast will be singing a special Christmas-time version of "What Time is It" at the parade!!!
12/5/2007: How does Ashley Tisdale get into the Holiday Spirit? By doing charity work! Check out an exclusive video of Ashley on the HSM section of TV GUIDE, our amazing affiliate! TV Guide has also informed us that Ashley Tisdale did have a rhinoplasty (nose job). Ashley told People Magazine that she did not have the procedure for cosmetic reasons, but because of a deviated septum that caused her trouble breathing.
11/30/2007: At long last, the day has arrived!!! Disney Information site, DAPS, has confirmed that Zac Efron signed on for HSM3!! That means that yes, Zac, Ashley, Vanessa, Lucas, Corbin AND Monique will all be back for HSM3 which is set to start filming in March 2008!!!

11/21/2007: Once again, our AMAZING affiliate, TV GUIDE, has come through for the Wildcats Website! As many of you may know, there is currently a strike that is affecting the future of many television shows. FEAR NOT, according to Tv Guide, Kenny Ortega told them that HSM3 IS DEFINITELY a GO!!!!! Ashley Tisdale and the rest of the cast will be back for HSM3! Even more exciting, the script for HSM3 is completed and according to Kenny (via TV Guide) they are currently working on the music. 11/19/2007: Tonight is the High School Musical 2 Extended Edition DVD Screening, which the cast will be attending! The party will benefit TEEN IMPACT at the Los Angeles Children's Hospital. Kudos to Disney Channel and the HSM2 cast for partying to benefit a good cause!

11/17/2007: According to new rumors, HSM3 is set to start filming in January. Disney has yet to confirm this though! Once Disney releases a statement, I will let you know!! Also, a group of HSM2 cast members will be featured in a segment in the Walt Disney World Christmas Parade this year! Monique Coleman, Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens, Olesya Rulin, and Corbin Bleu are a few of the HSM stars that will be featured in the segment which has already been recorded at Disneyland in Anaheim, CA.
11/15/2007: Ashley Tisdale has confirmed in the Ok! Magazine on sale today that she will be starring in High School Musical 3!!!! According to the article, HSM3 will start filming in February 2008!!

11/10/2007: The UsWeekly on stands now reports that Ashley Tisdale, Zac Efron AND Vanessa Hudgens will definitely reprise their roles in HSM3!!!! Lets hope this rumor turns out to be true!! Please remember that Disney has not yet confirmed this (but lets cross our fingers that it comes to be!) Also, there is an all-new book out in the "Tales from East High" series of books. Also out, a pop-up, pop-out scrapbook-type book filled with info and pics from HSM and HSM2 -- a few of the things found in the book are a recipe for Zeke's cookies, a program from the "Twinkle Towne" Winter Musicale, and Sharpay Evans' Member Card for Lava Springs Country Club!! 11/7/2007: Rumor has it that the cast of HSM will be leading this year's Hollywood Christmas Parade (alongside TV legend Bob Barker). The parade kicks off on November 25 at 5:00pm in Los Angeles, CA. 11/6/2007: TODAY BRINGS THE NEWS THAT US, THE MOST DEVOTED FANS OF THE GREATEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME, HAVE BEEN WAITING A VERY LONG TIME TO HEAR!!! Two sources have confirmed that Vanessa Anne Hudgens has signed her contract to reprise the role of Gabriella Montez in High School Musical 3!!!!!!!!! This makes Vanessa the first of the main six stars to commit to the third and final HSM installment, which is said to focus on senior year at East High! One of the sources says that Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, and Monique Coleman are also gearing up to sign contracts and are in the final stages of negotiation with Disney. Zac Efron is still in negotiations and has not yet reached an agreement with Disney, and no word on Lucas Grabeel's status. 10/31/2007: HAPPY HALLOWEEN, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL FANS!!! Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa donned HSM costumes on Live with Regis and Kelly this morning. Sorry, Regis, but Troy Bolton is still our favorite wildcat!! (with Chad and Lucas in a close second and third place)
10/28/2007: Monique Coleman will be a guest celebrity for the Candlelight Processional at EPCOT in Walt Disney World December 5 - December 7, 2007. Monique will be reciting the biblical Christmas Story during the Processional. Make sure to check it out if you get the chance!

Kenny is directing the Hannah Montana / Meet Miley Cyrus Concert that kicked off in STL last night and he was there for the first concert!! Also, E! News confirmed that Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens are still going strong! The couple dined out on Thursday to celebrate Zac's Bday!

10/17/2007: Hey Everybody! If you havent already, make sure to pick up the Disney Channel Holiday CD! I bought my copy today and it is AMAZING!! Sure, its seems a little early in the year, but it will definitely get you in the holiday mood! All of the songs are great! Corbin, Ashley, Monique, and Lucas all deliver exceptional performances on the CD, but I have to say that Lucas singing "Let it Snow" is definitely my favorite! Another suprise comes from Monique, whose vocals arent given a solo performance in HSM or HSM2. Her voice is a great surprise! She shines singing "Christmas Vacation." Listen up NYC Fans! Corbin Bleu is coming to town! Corbin will be at the NikeID store from noon - 1:00pm on October 20, 2007! He will also be appearing in Chicago at the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival on November 17,2007!

10/15/2007: Exciting News!! The HSM2 dolls have been repackaged and are now being sold in sets! Troy & Gabriella - Ryan & Sharpay - Chad & Taylor. The dolls look a lot cuter in the box together! There is also a new HSM2 playset on which comes with a Gabriella Doll dressed in her Lifegaurd Swimsuit and the Lava Springs Pool! Make sure to head on over to Target to see the new HSM products!!

9/29/2007: The exclusive McCall Clark Interview will be unveiled TOMORROW!! Make sure to check back! Also, OK Magazine reports in this week's issue that Zac and Vanessa have broken up. Well, news to OK MAGAZINE: The couple were spotted together on September 30th (though you reported they havent seen one another since Sept. 23) and Zac Efron has won the role of Ren McCormick in Footloose. 9/27/2007: Hey Everybody!! It has been announced by PopStar Magazine that Lucas Grabeel recorded a song entitled "You Got It" for HSM2. While the song will not be on the HSM2 DVD or featured anywhere (as of now), it is available for purchase on ITunes
9/26/2007: PopStar's Special-Edition Episode entitled "Zanessa: Their Love Story" will be in stores soon. It will include exclusive interviews and pictures!! Good news for HSM fans in Japan. High School Musical 2 will be debuting in Japan on October 13!!! If you get a chance, check out this awesome Japanese HSM Fansite!!
9/25/2007: BIG BIG BIG BIG NEWS!!! According to an Acting Info Blog, if HSM3 comes to be, it will be released in 2009 as a major motion picture. There will most likely be a chance for YOU to audition for a part! As soon as dates and times for auditions are released, I will let you know! 9/24/2007: Hey Everybody! Make sure to tune in to the Disney Channel on Sunday, September 30, 2007 to see High School Musical and High School Musical 2 back to back! Check local listings for details. Also, if you arent busy tonight, tune in to the Season Premiere of Dancing with the Stars on ABC, where fellow Disney Channel Star (and Cheetah Girl) Sabrina Bryan will be a contestant! 9/22/2007: Rumors have recently been circulating that Zac and Vanessa have broken up. The rumor, started by Ok Magazine, has no validity!! There is no proof that Zanessa has broken up, especially since they have since been spotted out and about together and are still wearing their commitment rings. Yep, thats Miss Vanessa singing "Say Ok." You can also hear her voice in the commercials for this season of "Dancing With the Stars" singing "Let's Dance" on ABC! Congratulations are in order for Zac Efron and the cast of "HAirspray." Almost 2 months after its release, it is still showing at many theaters and has grossed $153,709,612 worldwide!! Way to go!!

9/10/2007: Vanessa Hudgens will be on Jay Leno Thursday, September 13, 2007. The entire cast of HSM2 will be on the Rachel Ray show this Monday! It has also been announced that Vanessa will be releasing a second album entitled "Get On It" in 2008.
9/9/2007: Exciting News!! Disney will be releasing a Christmas Album that will include songs sung by Ashley Tisdale (Last Christmas), Corbin Bleu (This Christmastime), Monique Coleman (Christmas Vacation), Lucas Grabeel (Let it Snow), AND Drew Seeley (I'll be Home for Christmas)!! This sure-to-be amazing CD is set to be released on October 15! Even more great news!! While none of the main stars of HSM have signed contracts for HSM3, the writers and directors of the first two films, including Kenny Ortega are on board for the third (and most likely final) installment of our favorite movie series, High School Musical!!

8/27/2007: I hope that you tuned in to the Teen Choice Awards Last Night!! The Cast of HSM2 won the award for best TV Movie and was presented a special award for setting the record for most watched program on Basic Cable EVER!!! Congrats to Zac Efron who took home "Choice Male Hottie" and Vanessa Hudgens who took home "Breakout Female Artist." Vanessa, Zac, Lucas, Monique, KayCee Stroh, and Chris Warren Jr. were there to accept the awards. Also, congrats to Zac who took home "Choice SUmmer Comedy or Musical" for "Hairspray." The award was accepted by John Travolta, Nikki Blonsky, and Elijah Kelley.
8/26/2007: BIG NEWS: It has been announced that the DVD, High School Musical 2: Extended Edition will be released on December 11!! There will be a ton of special features, including a deleted scene that wasnt shown on the Disney Channel!! Also, make sure to tune into the Teen Choice Awards on FOX tonight. Zac Efron is a nominee for Male Hottie and rumor has it that the HSM Cast will be receiving an honorary award for the record-breaking HSM2!!! AND For those HSM fans who are a little bit older, listen up!! HSM is for ALL AGES and finally someone is making clothes for us who are over 12 that are inspired by HSM!! Wal-Mart is now offering an HSM T-Shirt in their Juniors Department, and the Website, TV Teez is now offering brand new HSM-inspired shirts as well!! Make sure to check them out!
8/25/2007: Hey Everybody!! If you have recently been to a supermarket, you might have seen a tabloid with a cover boasting a big fight between the HSM stars. The title of the mag is more than a little misleading! Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, and other stars of HSM2 are not fighting at all. They actually are all great friends and get along well. They are in talks with Disney to star in High School Musical 3, which if made, will be coming to movie theatres in May 2008 or 2009. The stars are in negotiations as far as salary goes. None of the main stars have signed contracts yet nor have they seen the script to the movie. Once I have more info about the state of HSM3, I will let you know!! Also, Zac Efron has been quoted as saying that the reason he refused to participate in the High School Musical Concert Tour was because, as he said, "If I had to hear those songs any more, I would have jumped off of something tall." Well, while that may be true (and please note that most of us ABSOLUTELY LOVE those amazing songs!!) I would like to point out that part of the reason Zac may have bypassed the tour was that it was the Wildcats Website's good friend Drew Seeley and NOT Zac Efron who sang on the first HSM soundtrack. Dont get me wrong, I still love Zac, but a message to him: Dont bash HSM! We Love it!!
8/20/2007: Wondering how well High School Musical 2 did on its opening weekend? Well, head on over to the HSM2 page of the website to what records HSM2 broke!! And, we're sure that this is just the beginning. After all, the soundtrack of the first movie was the top-selling CD for the entire 2006 year and the HSM Franchise is worth over 100 Million Dollars!!!

6/16/2007: BIG HSM CAST NEWS!! -- First of all, the 6 main cast members of HSM currenty vacationed together in Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla. No word yet on whether or not the trip will be documented in a "Disney 365" or "Road to High School Musical 2" segment. Even bigger news: While on the vacation, Zac Efron and Vanessa Anne Hudgens who have been dating since they travelled to Salt Lake City to film HSM2 officially broke up while on vacation with their HSM castmates. According to InTouch Magazine, Zac and Vanessa had a huge fight, which resulted in Vanessa ending the relationship. 6/9/2007: In case you missed the World Premiere of "What Time is IT?" on Disney Channel tonight (or if you live in another country where the music video has not yet premiered) - or if you really just want to see it again!!) I have uploaded it above for you to watch!! Also, it has been announced that Corbin Bleu will be premeiring at different State Fairs this summer, so check your local news to find out if Corbin will be in a city near you!! You will also be able to notice in "What time is It?" that Troy's voice sounds significantly different than it did in the first movie. Thats because (unfortunately) Drew Seeley is not the voice of Troy in HSM2, but rather Zac Efron has gotten his head in the game and taken voice lessons for his role in Hairspray and is singing on his own.

The music video for "SUmmertime" by the cast of HSM2 (the opening number of HSM2) will premiere on the Disney Channel at 7:55pm easter time (6:55pm central standard time) before the premiere of Disney's new movie Johnny Kapahala: Back on Board!!

5/30/2007: Disney Channel will be airing a special HSM2 promotional countdown throughout the summer starting June 8. The 5 minute promos will feature cast interviews and behind-the-scenes featurettes from the anticipated sequel. According to an article in a recent TV Guide, Disney is currently working on the script for a 3rd installment of High School Musical, tentatively titled Haunted High School Musical. If plans go through, it is set to be released in October 2008, however, none of the original cast members have been approached to star in the threequel, and Zac Efron says that it is highly doubtful that he would be interested in such a project. :( If you havent yet, make sure to check out the official High School Musical 2 website, which features a downloadable version of the HSM2 movie poster! The best part about the new site??!? An interactive dressing room feature that allows you to learn more about each character. For example, did you know that one of Ashley Tisdale's favorite books is The Great Gatsby??!?!?! (Its one of mine too!!)

In other HSM news, the 3rd book in the "Tales from East High" High School Musical Book Series is now on bookshelves everywhere, so make sure to pick it up! Other Big HSM NEWS!! Disney has set a release date of August 14 for the High School Musical Video Game, which will be available on the Playstation 2 and Nintendo Wii Video Game Systems. And for some HUGE HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL NEWS, Oren Aviv, the president of production for the Walt Disney Motion Pictures Group has confirmed that there will be a 3rd (and most likely final) installment of High School Musical, entitled Haunted High School Musical, that is set to be released in October 2008. What has not yet been confirmed is whether or not Haunted High School Musical will feature the original cast or not. In other big news, Matell will be releasing a line of High School Musical Barbie dolls this summer!! Also in the works is an HSM 2 DVD Board Game, a High School Musical Twister Game, a High School Musical Uno card set, and a High School Musical Eight-Ball!!
5/12/2007: JUICY NEWS!!! According to this week's issue of Us Weekly, on stands now, Zac Efron and Vanessa Anne Hudgens are OFFICIALLY A COUPLE!!! The mag has pictures of the two on vacation in Hawaii where they swam in the ocean and KISSED!!! (and no these are not scenes from the upcoming HSM2, but candid shots of the new couple). Also in HSM news, Vanessa, Monique, Ashley, Lucas, Corbin and our personal friend Drew Seeley left for LatinAmerica today to begin practice for the LatinAmerican leg of their High School Musical Concert Tour. The show opens in Buenos Aires on May 15.

Also, remember that the Live Concert CD of High SChool Musical: The Concert is now on sale!! The DVD will be coming this summer, but the CD does have a mini-DVD extra disc to hold you off until then.

5/4/2007: The official HSM2 Website is now up and running!!! Also up on the web is the first promo featuring scenes from the upcoming High School Musical 2!! An HSM2 commercial was debuted at the filming of the 2007 Disney Channel "DC" Games, filmed in April. The promo is now up on youtube so make sure to check it out!!!
5/3/2007: Charismatic has uploaded some HSM2 pictures, including two great ones of the entire cast sitting by the pool and the official movie poster, so make sure to check it out!!
5/1/2007: Corbin Bleu is going to be on Good Morning America TODAY!!! Make sure to tune in to see him publicize "Another Side," his debut album in stores TODAY!! Make sure to pick it up! Also, the cast of High School Musical is going back on tour. High School Musical: The Concert will debut in Buenos Aires on May 15, 2007. Drew Seeley and the rest of the cast leave for rehearsals on May 12. Also, this summer will begin the countdown to High School Musical 2. We will be having lots of new features including an EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW with High School Musical and High School Musical 2 star, KayCee Stroh. More special features will be debuted later this month and the celebration for HSM2 will begin in June!! There are also rumors that Miley Cyrus will have a cameo and appear as Hannah Montana. 4/26/2007: VERY EXCITING NEWS!!! The Wildcats Website's favorite HSM castmember KayCee Stroh has just written me to let me know that the cast has completely finished filming High School Musical 2!!!! Its coming close guys, so start getting excited. PopStar has also let out some great information. According to the mag, the movie will feature a huge musical number of the East High Students leaving school on the last day of classes and *gasp* Troy and Gabriella emerge holding hands!!!

4/23/2007: The Dance Along Version of High School Musical will be airing on US Disney Channel on April 27. Check local listings for the exact time!! The Junior Novelization of high School Musical 2 will be on shelves August 15, 2007. The third book in the "Stories from East High" series, "Poetry in Motion," will be on shelves June 1, 2007.
4/18/2007: Just wanted to take the opportunity to say im sorry that I havent been updating the site a lot. Once summer comes, we will start a countdown to HSM2 with a bunch of new features, but until then I will try to update as much as possible. If you dont want to wait until the CDs release date of May 1, you can pre-order Corbin Bleu's new CD from his official website today!! BIG NEWS!!!!! It has been oficially announced that on June 26, 2007 Disney will release a special edition CD and DVD entitled High School Musica: The Concert - Extreme Access Pass. 4/17/2007: Rumor has it that the success of the High School Musical Concert Tour is leading to a branch-off concert in LatinAmerica. I will let you know more when I find out! Also, if you missed the HSM Concert, have no fear. The concert will be shown through the new D-Concert Feature on the Disney Channel website.

4/7/2007: HSM on Ice tickets are onsale for many cities now. Visit ticketmaster to buy seats. The ice show is split into two acts. Act I will be High School Musical and Act II will be based on High School Musical 2. Also, #2 in the High School Musical Book Series, "Tales from East High," is now available. Also being sold are biographies of Zac Efron (Zac Attack!), Ashley Tisdale (Living the Sweet Life), and Vanessa Hudgens (Breaking Free). They are all really interesting, so make sure to pick them up!

4/2/2007: Tickets for Disney's High School Musical on Ice are on sale for many venues for shows as far off as March 2008. To get good seats, get busy now!! You can check on the internet at the official High School Musical on Ice Website to see when the show is coming to a town near you and how to buy tickets!! Just like the movie and the concert, HSM on Ice is being choreographed by Kenny Ortega. 3/7/2007: The Cast of High School Musical will be on the March cover of MAD KIDS MAGAZINE! Click here to see the cover (its really, uh, interesting). WE HAVE NEWS STRAIGHT FROM THE SET OF HSM2!!! According to KayCee Stroh, Martha Cox in HSM, rehearsals and shooting are in full swing! To complete HSM 2 in time to debut this summer, the cast is working 14-15 hour days!!
3/1/2007: March is starting off great with some BIG HSM NEWS!! The greatest movie ever, High School Musical, is gonna be getting CHILLY!! Feld Entertainment, producer of Disney on Ice, has announced that they will be producing High School Musical On Ice, which will is set to beging touring the United States in August 2007. The HSM TOUR page has been revitalized, since the concert tour is over and is now the featuring info on the Disney On ICE HSM show and will serve as an homage to all travelling HSM renditions. I also wanted to let you know that I have now seen the HSM High School Prodcution and it is definitely worth checking out if a high school near you is performing it -- it is really different from the movie, so dont expect to see an exact live replica but it is clever and a lot of fun (and includes the CD extra, "I Can't Take My Eyes off of You.") Also, it has been announced that the High School Musical Playstation 2 game will be available for sale on May 15, 2007. As for the book series (I know I announced that the first would be available in January) is up in the air -- it has been advertised in such places as the HSM Concert Program, but I have not seen them -- if you have any news on the "Tales from East High" series, let me know!
2/26/2007: Congratulations to Ashley Tisdale. "Headstrong" debuted at number 5 on Billboard. Ashley is also hosting Top 11 on AOL, so make sure to check it out!! Also, I talked to Drew Seeley yesterday and he said that he will not be doing vocal backup for Zac Efron in High School Musical 2, becuase the songs were written specifically for Zac. To hear Drew's voice, make sure to pick up Disneymania 5, which will be in stores on March 27. Along with Drew, who will be singing "Find Yourself" from Cars, Corbin Bleu, Ashley Tisdale, and Vanessa Anne Hudgens, and Lucas Grabeel will be singing on the album. 2/21/2007: Hey Everybody!! Sorry it has been so long since I have last updated. Just to let you know, HSM is now in production. A little late, because (according to the New York Post,) Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Anne Hudgens, and Corbin Bleu were holding out for better contracts for the second HSM installment. The dispute has been settled and the cast is hard at work shooting as of now. You will also notice that Zac looks a little young in the HSM 2 poster. Rumor has it that the pic of him was one from a photoshoot for the original HSM that was photoshopped in with a new picture of the rest of the cast. Apparently, Zac had to be added in because of his busy rehearsal schedule for Hairspray. (As of now, I do not know if this is true or just a rumor, but once i find out, I will let you know.) During the filming of HSM2, make sure to check back often for updates!! Also, check out the HSM 2 page for new details on the movie plot!!

2/10/2007: Want to celebrate a special day in a big way?!?!? Hallmark stores around the world are now selling TWO SINGING HALLMARK HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL CARDS!!!!!!!!! One features the six main characters on the frot and sings "Breaking Free" when you open it. The other is blue and sings "We're All in this Together" when you open it. The cards are $5.99 each, but definitely a must for any HSM fan!!
2/8/2007: BIG HSM2 NEWS!!! The cast has already started recording the music in Los Angeles!! Most of the members of the cast are leaving for Salt Lake City, Utah this weekend to start filming High School Musical 2!! The entire cast of High School Musical 2 is excited about the upcoming sequel, in fact Monique Coleman recently stated that she likes the script for HSM2 BETTER than the original!! 2/7/2007: According to Popstar, Zac Efron will be playing the love interest of Vanessa Anne Hudgens in her upcoming music video!! Van and Zac will start shooting the video soon! 2/6/2007: Ashley Tisdale's Debut Album, HEADSTRONG, is on sale today!! If you preordered through Ashley's official website, then you are already enjoying your copy (like I am!). The album is awesome, but dont expect it to be a replica of V, Vanessa Anne Hudgens' debut Album. HEADSTRONG proves to be edgier (Headstrong and He Said, She Said) and have a lot more heart (We'll Be Together and Suddenly). But dont worry Van, we still prefer to dance to your catchy "Baby Come Back."

1/30/2007: KayCee Stroh has confirmed, both to me and through her MySpace page that YES, she will be appearing in High School Musical 2 as Martha Cox. (yay!!) KayCee, who moved to California after High School Musical's success, has returned to her native Salt Lake City to begin work on the soon to be under production sequel. Also, the High School Musical Tour is now officialy done. :( We will be posting all new videos from the High School Musical tour soon!! Also, the winner of the Drew Seeley collage contest will be appearing on the front page of the site starting on February 1!!
1/27/2007: Make sure to pick up the current issue of People magazine for an article on Corbin Bleu. Pre-Production and auditions are now being held by Kenny Ortega and Charles Kaplow in Salt Lake City, Utah. Charles, who has been working as a backup dancer on the tour, will miss a few of the shows due to the auditions, but he will be back for the final show. We also have some BIG DISNEY NEWS!!! Walt Disney World has just released the first High School Musical pin, as a part of their Disney Pin Trading merchandise line. You can see a picture of the New High School Musical Pin under the "Open Edition" section on the mainpage of the Dizpins Website.
1/24/2007: Make sure to tune in to the Disney Channel tomorrow night during Sister Sister to see the premiere of Ashley Tisdale's new music video for "Be Good To Me," off of her new album, Headstrong. If you plan on buying a copy of Headstrong when it comes out, why not preorder a handsigned copy on Ashley's Official Website?!?!? Still cant get enough Ash? You can see her in person on February 7, 2007 at 4pm at the Planet Hollywood in New York City, where she will be putting her handprints in cement for the restaurant. 1/23/2007: I FINALLY got to see the HSM Concert!!!! For those of you who havent seen it, it was the BEST CONCERT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!!!! Best of All, Drew Seeley, who did an interview for the Wildcats Website this month, got me backstage passes so I got to meet the cast of High School Musical!!!! Corbin, Drew, Monique, Vanessa, Ashley, and Monique are absolutely the nicest people I have ever met. They signed autographs and were so nice to talk to. In fact, when Drew and I met (after months of talking on the web) he gave me a huge bear hug!! Corbin is also especially sweet. He put his arm around me for a pic!! I will post pics of the HSM concert soon!!

All countries will be playing HSM at some point during the day. The US Disney Channel will also feature Disney music videos in different languages and special interviews from when the cast was in london.

1/16/2007: Zac is Back!!! Zac made his first post-Hairspray public appearance speaking at the Theatre of the Stars Junior Theatre Festival on January 14, showing off a full mane of brown hair. His black locks are gone for good now that he is done filming Hairpsray. Also, make sure to vote for the Wildcat Awards. Voting will end on the night of January 19th so that the votes can be tallied and the winners announced on the 1 year anniversary of High School Musical. The first book, Battle of the Bands is set to be released in February 2007, followed by Wildcat Spirit in April '07, and Crunch Time in June. Also set to be released in April is All in This Together: The Unofficial Story of High School Musical. Also, make sure to take a moment and friend the all-new Wildcats Website MySpace page. Also, Drew Seeley is holding a contest of his own! Make a video of pics or videos of him and High School Musical to the song he sings on the "Jump In" Soundtrack and send it to him via MySpace.
