the next day she went to the norwich and norfolk canine society and got a 4th , she was very tired and didnt perform at all!! but still very pleased with such a young puppy
Southern counties Championship show 03/06/06 saw jessie go fourth in a very strong class in puppy bitch and missed qualifying crufts by 1 place!!! exstatic at that result!
Norfolk and norwich canine society (Royal Norfolk Show) saw jessie go 4th again in a strong puppy class, then she went on to gain 4th place again in the AV hound puppy class too!!

29th Sept saw Jessie enter her 1st ever Lure Coursing event , this was held under rules by the EAWCC at Holbeach in Lincolnshire, she won her first heat against an experienced dog , then faced the great Henrietta Bramble ( Mr & Mrs C.Doyle) and lost gracefully!! but very pleased she ran extremely well especially for a bitch so young.
This month also saw the first of her working days and i am pleased to say she is working on the lamp very well resulting in several catches so far , and working very well with the ferrets , and bringing back rabbits live to hand , i feel a good career is ahead in the coursing field for her

I am pleased to say even a 600 mile round trip was worth every mile , she ran beautifully but sadly didnt get through any of her heats , a pleasure to be with as many like minded people , a fine example of the sport
HighIsland Mabel (lurcher)
pleased to announce she has entered the show ring for the first time this year and gained 2 first places in best crossbreed , 2nd was her daughter Tippy, then she went on to win best movement out of 19 entries, 2 in the adult handling with myself, and then went in for the best in show novelty class championship and also she won that!!! well done mabel!!!
she will attempt to retain her Broadland Greyhound and Whippet Club overall scurry champion title on 8 th july, we will post the result as soon as we can! she is a very fast small keen scurry and racing lurcher and is challenged many times on our fun run nights!!! she will always be my champion

Danny was bred by the Oakmoorehill show kennels ( Mr R , Mrs H and Master B Moore ) of Staffs UK, he was gifted to Highisland by our dear friends , i hope we do not let them down . Danny has only been lightly shown , ut will do much more next year, he will also be encouraged to lure course and work with the ferrets as he gets older, he is Barnesmore to Barnesmore breeding , Barnesmore is a top show kennel in Ireland
His first show was Richmond champ show in which he gained a VHC in puppy dog, he may have got placed higher had he not have danced and bounced round the ring!!! At least he had fun which is vital for a pup to have fun doing anything. he also gained a 2nd place at our local kc reg open show in whippet puppy and a 4 th in AV hound puppy
