You trip and stumble over the undergrowth, feet tangled in the grassy knots as you walk toward a dimly-lit clearing. A few feet in front of you stands an angel of sorts. With his large black wings tucked behind him he watches you curiously before holding out a lush red rose. He hands it to you (feel free to save the image as a gift =)) and smiles faintly. Mar. 02, 2009: I entered the Miss Doll Fantasy contest. I saw Wishtikana's entry and I was very much inspired to enter too. You should go check out her work it's really beautiful. Anyway this is just a small update. I added Lynxrin the Fantasy character I made for the contest. She is a Kaeltian. "The Cold and violent region of Kaeltia is filled with large dangerous animals and pockets of human life. Lynxrin's people are bloodthirsty
warriors. Their clothing and armour is mostly made of leathers, furs,
bone, and bark. They wear bones as a sign of power. Kaeltian's are
known for their wide noses grey to blue skin, their thick and often
attached eyebrows and their red-yellow eyes (from lack of pigment).
Because of the cold temperates they endure they have evolved to have
very thick sometimes tough skin, and wide sturdy hips and legs. They
are shorter than an average human and also much heavier."
Feb. 25, 2009: Hello everyone. My school's strike has ended, which is good news. Although now I am swamped with homework and sculpture projects. But I figure I'm long over-due for an update. I was going to give up the internet for Lent, but with suggestion from my roommates I've given up the use of elevators instead....I live on the 22 floor by the way...after 40 days I'm (hopefully) going to be in mad-shape. haha. I won 3rd in the Light contest, so that was nice =) and I made it to the second round of Miss Flawed Perfections. A lot of the entries don't look flawed, I wish we could write little bios for the contestants so the flaws could be known. For Mireen it is that she's a pretty bad illusionist, and some of her tricks don't reverse. She once killed the rabbit. And her hair turned perm. green. Oh well! hehe. I also made a sith for the Miss Doll a Sith. That's exciting, I really enjoy Star Wars. But I'm going to go make dinner now. Have a great night =)
Jan. 05, 2009: Well, Happy new year. I'm still a bit bummed that my school hasn't started again yet. But I'll be moving back to my apartment soon just in case.I've been doing so much sewing lately! Because of that I've been doing less dolling, haha. I have done a few though. I was going to keep my Light doll a secret, but other people are posting there's so I've updated my contest entry for Lilly's Light contest. And I'm entering another pageant..better luck this time hopefully I make it past round one ><; First round is casual so I am dolling Mireen Stone, an Illusionist character of mine. Her signature colours are reds, oranges and golds. I did a collab with my sister Nolori once where Mireen wore April's clothing and visa versa =) Hope you are all well. And...anyone interested in some link exchanges? I want to try and promote Hidden Woods a bit more ^^ Since I'm cooking up a contest! (woo-hoo!) And can you tell I really love that Cora base? hehe. Oh! bases, speaking of which I made one...I'm not uploading it yet, but yea...made a male base. boy they are hard!
Dec.23, 2008: I won best shading over at Yellow Rose's for her old new contest. She has so many great contests over there that it's hard not to enter some! And so I entered another! Hehe, the doll is below, it's for a palette contest. And it's my first time pixel-shading! But I'm pleased with it. She's a moon/night creature...thing hehe. And I spent a lot of the day playing Rockband with my brozer Ender and sister Katie Cruel. It was fun times! Tomorrow I plan to make Link buttons and finally sort my dolls! Then maybe enter another contest hehe. And can you believe how soon christmas is?! Wheeeee-hehehehe! I might be 19 but Christmas is still exciting! I can't wait to see what my siblings thing of my gifts for them! Happy Holidays everyone =)
Dec.16, 2008: Quick update to the site. Updated links, and added an adopted page. I'm slowly starting to collect dolls hehe. I also made a Jenni doll last night. Jenni was the Hidden Wood's original Mascot, along with Raph who is up in the top corner with the wings. Unfortunately...instead of hitting ctrl E which is a merge button. I hit ctrl W....which is close. I deleted 6 hours of work in..1 second. SO since it was 1am I decided, oh well time for bed. So I remade her today, along with an avatar for CC
