Welcome to Hidalgo !

Hidalgo is a small town located along Highway 130 in Central Illinois. Its a place where people still stop to help neighbors and no one is a stranger. Hidalgo was established in 1878 and was a bustling town. The town had many businesses including a railroad station, theater, shops, and hotels. Most of the business have closed over the years. Now, there are only a few businesses still open.

Fire Department Fundraiser

Support our local fire department by attending the Hog Roast on Saturday April 1st from 4:30 - 7:30 pm at the fire station in Hidalgo. Enjoy BBQ pork, baked beans, potatoes, chips, tea, lemonade, & desserts. Carry out available. Free will donation for the Crooked Creek Fire Protection District. 50/50 drawing at 7pm with tickets available at the door. Do not need to be present to win. Come support the Fire Department.
