[1]To create a character from the books, you must have the administration’s approval.
At Hogwarts Realm, the main focus will not be on canon characters, that is, characters from the books. There will be a list of characters from the book that are available for you to RP. However, you must remember that they will only play a small part.
[2characters will be completely human unless approved by the administration.
Unless a canon character, all characters will be completely human. You may choose your own bloodline (muggle-born, full-blood, or half-blood) but you may not be half-giant, part-squib, etc.)
[3]Unless approved by the administration, no special powers are to be assumed.
We are trying to keep this a realistic RP, and unless the administration approves it, there will be no special powers!
[4]Please make your characters realistic.
When creating and writing your characters, please keep them as realistic as possible. We don’t want any students who are “the smartest,” or “the prettiest.” We don’t want any characters who never mess up and who everybody falls in love with. Please try to think of the real world when you write your characters.
Students:
[1]In order for a student to remain active, they should appear on the board at least once every week. If this is going to be a problem (for example, if you’re going to be on vacation), please let the administration know and you will be excused.
[2]Students are also allowed to created as many characters as they wish. However, if creating another student in a different house, they must not create the character to spy on the other house. The writer should remain loyal to both houses.
[3]Students of any year are allowed to participate in Quidditch. However, if the writer has multiple student characters in different houses, they may only play quid ditch in one house (for example, if someone has a Gryffindor and Ravenclaw character, they may only play Quidditch in one house).
[1]The house points system allows students to be rewarded for doing good deeds and students to be punished for misbehaving. At the end of the year, the house points will be tallied and whichever house has the most will receive the House Cup, quite an honor.
[2]Any staff member (professors, head of house, secondary staff, etc.) can award or deduct house points. In addition, the head boy and head girl may deduct or award up to 50 house points at any given time if they have a good reason.
[3]You may earn house points by doing the following:
[a]Participate in class.
[b]Help around the school (for example, find technical errors and report them).
[c]Write articles for the daily prophet!
[d]Become an active writer and participate in threads.
[e]Doing something not listed here that deserves house point awarding.
[4]You may lose house points by doing the following:
[a]Don’t show up for class.
[b]Act up in class.
[c]Cause trouble or break the rules.
[d]Not using correct grammar and punctuation in RP threads.
[e]Making too many OOC posts.
[f]Posting for others.
[g]Doing something not listed here that deserves a point deduction.
[1]Every year, a new Head Boy and Girl will be nominated by the students. The administration will then look at the list and decide who would make the best Head Boy and Head Girl. These two will then be responsible for setting a good example, stepping in when professors can’t, and leading the prefects.
[2]Each year, Head of Houses should start a thread in their common room. Students of that house will then be able to nominate two prefects (one boy, one girl) for their house. After that, the Head of House may decide how the prefects will be chosen. They can either leave it up to the house, or they may decide for themselves. Prefects are to set a good example and lead the house.
