Unfortunately we have received the sad news that Bill Daniel has passed away aged 91.

Bill was a Life Member of the League, had previously served on the Management Committee and also umpired after long service as a playing member and official at Scarcroft CC and NPower CC

Bill's last duty on behalf of the League was to present the George Greaves Cup (as he did every year in memory of his friend)

His funeral will be held at 11am St Paul's Church, Shadwell on Saturday 10th March followed by refreshments at the New Inn, Scarcroft (Family flowers only)

League & Cup Fixtures 2018

2018 League and Cup Fixtures have now been added to the website

Some points to note:-

The Yorkshire Show is 10-12 July so free week Wednesday 11th

In Division 2 Harrogate have 3 dates they can't play at home I have avoided two but flipping the 3rd fixture on 1st August will mean Follifoot would have 3 home in a row first half and then 3 away in a row fixtures on the reverse half, they can either arrange to play on an alternative ground or Harrogate can give up home advantage and play both fixtures at Follifoot

In Division 4 Corinthians home matches are to be played at Whixley CC this year

In Division 5 fixtures this year have been a bit awkward, unfortunately some teams may have 3 home or away games in a row at some time during the season, however there will be 15 games in total teams playing each other 3 times (twice home/ once away or once home/ twice away).

15 Matches means that one match will have to be mutually arranged to be played on any agreeable date before the 8th August, just let me know when you have arranged to play and let me have the result as usual

Cup final venues have yet to be confirmed, I will update when I have the info.

Cheers, any problems you know where I am, otherwise have a good season

Win in style, lose with pride, respect the game, enjoy yourselves!!
